Field Observations and Numerical Experiments on the Dynamics of Ice-covered Streams

The results of field observations and numerical experiments performed in the past few decades on the dynamics of shallow-water ice-covered streams are analyzed. Particular attention is given to some features of the eddy structures. Mathematical models of ice-covered streams and their practical applications are reviewed.
