To improve the accuracy of geological block method in computing resources and reserves of platy gold ore-body, on the base of the example, the paper discusses the calculation method of various parameter is discussed, the parallel lines computing method and the coordinate computing method of the block projection area is introduced, emphasizes using the method of weighted mean to acquire average thickness and average grade. The paper also suggests that the computing of block volume should adapt the method of inclined area timing projection thickness to compensate the decreased volume of the waving ore-bodies that effected by the projection.
