Inventory of the meteorite collection of Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle,Geneva, Switzerland

Abstract The first inventory of the meteorite collection of the Muséum d'Histoire Naturelle of Geneva is given. The collection, which was initiated early in the nineteenth century and thus is one of the oldest in the world, numbers at present 164 fragments of 102 individual meteorites including the largest fragment (22 kg) of the North Chile hexahedrite. During 1991 the collection was updated and several new specimens were acquired.
