Twenty-Five Years of "GeostandaRef Corner"

A total of twenty-five bibliographic reviews were published between 1979 and 2004 in Geostandards Newsletter, subsequently renamed Geostandards and Geoanalytical Research, which list more than 5500 papers. These cited references contain information about geochemical reference materials, analytical methods or address general issues concerning the use of reference materials (protocols for sampling, certification, or new analytical techniques). In support of emerging fields of interest in geoanalysis, frequently associated with environmental research, and reflecting the increased breadth in the topics addressed by the Journal, new reference headings were added over time, while retaining the original style and format of the review. Reference management software was used to extract information from these publications related to methods, reference materials and analytes. Major developments during these 25 years, reflecting both advances in laboratory hardware as well as shifts in research interests, can readily be seen in both the types of reference materials being studied and in nature of the new analytical protocols that were developed. These two topics were the core foci of the twenty-five reviews, though much more information might also be extracted from this extensive resource.     

土地污染文献定量分析

为了定量探究土地污染研究现状及其时空格局,采用文献计量统计法,从文献数量、作者、研究机构、期刊及内容等角度对1957-2015年《中国期刊全文数据库》收录的土地污染文献进行综合分析。共涉及13 077篇文献、15 714位作者、5 663个研究机构、2 141种期刊。结果表明：土地污染文献数量增长符合指数模型,土地污染研究已进入高速发展阶段;核心作者群已经形成,核心作者177人;土地污染核心研究机构较少,高等院校和科研院所是土地污染研究的核心力量,发文量占总发文量的92.80%;该领域的核心期刊群已经形成,核心区期刊中《农业环境科学学报》发文量为172篇,居榜首,《安徽农业科学》发文量为115篇,位居第二;从关键字分析来看,重金属污染和土地污染修复仍是目前研究的热点,生物修复技术在土地污染修复中具有重要地位。

Abstract

Bibliographic instruction is aneglected component of undergraduate education in many geography curricula. Significant research problems are difficult to formulate and self-education cannot be achieved without the ability to use reference materials effectively. The research methods course is a logical vehicle for providing bibliographic instruction at the undergraduate level. Library training can be incorporated in this course through a series of instructional modules that requires students to work with a wide variety of bibliographic materials. Students should be allowed to focus on publications pertaining to topics of individual interest in all phases of their work. This paper outlines a methods course that emphasizes bibliographic instruction and gives suggestions for incorporating selected developmental materials.
