北京市地形图图式应用研究

城市建设出现了地形图图式未规定的地物要素,地形测量、地理信息系统、数字制图技术的应用给图式的设计提出了新的课题,本文旨在探讨设计和修订图式的思路和方法。     

The Symbolic Wolf: A Construal Level Theory Analysis of the Perceptions of Wolves in the United States

Charismatic wildlife can be difficult to manage due to the controversies they generate among stakeholders, which may be rooted in their symbolic meaning. Using construal-level theory, we coded the images of gray wolves mentioned by respondents to a national survey (n?=?621) and an issue public survey (n?=?447) as symbolic (abstract) or corporeal (concrete). We analyzed the relationship between these representations of wolves and several perceptions that may perpetuate social conflict. Most people thought of wolves abstractly, and abstract thoughts were associated with positive feelings toward wolves and agreement with existence beliefs regarding wolves. Concrete representations were associated with identifying as a gun or property rights advocate, hunter, or farmer/rancher. Given these disparate views of wolves, engaging stakeholders through collaborative processes designed to foster a shared understanding of this species, while addressing the concerns of those groups, could be useful in reducing conflict concerning wolf management.     

基于MGE管理的地形图数据转换到ArcGIS平台的方法及实现

为使MGE与ArcGIS平台间的数据能够共享,结合有关MGE,GeoGraphics管理的数据和ArcSDE GeoDatabase空间数据管理的要求,介绍了从现有数据到ArcGIS空间数据库的转换。着重分析了MGE平台管理下地形图数据的图形要素和属性要素不同的内在存储方式,详细阐述如何借助MGE的升级平台GeoGraphics来输出ArcGIS支持的源数据shapefile格式,并通过在ArcSDE中建立要素转换对照表,将MGE系统中输出的要素分配到ArcSDE中的对应要素类,来达到数据转换的目的。采用这种方法转换了长沙市近3000幅地形图数据。结果表明,这种方法对数据处理的结果比较理想,保持了几何空间和属性信息的一致性。     

中越边境乡村民居景观的符号象征与认同建构——广西龙州县边境乡村案例

以广西龙州县边境乡村的法式民居景观为例,从历史的角度分析法式民居景观兴盛的缘由,并探讨其象征意义及认同建构。研究发现,法式民居景观作为承载文化意义的符号,是财富和社会地位的象征;又因其宫殿式形态,成为当地人幻想更大权欲以获得自我满足的源泉。此外,法式民居景观强化了当地村民对自身身份的认同建构,并唤起了他们对历史的缅怀、对家的归属感和对地方的认同感。研究既是对新文化地理学关于景观研究向社会文化意义转向的例证,也是对新文化地理学中关于地方、景观与认同关系研究的回应。     

The European system of capital cities

Capital cities reflect the nature and organization of the states they control. Their functional role is higher in centralized systems, societies where the state is the source of all legitimacy, and countries using Continental Law. It is lower in federal systems, pillarized societies and countries, which are ruled according to a Common Law. The symbolic status of capital cities is higher when the state is the source of all legitimacy, lower in consociationalist societies. Theses processes were responsible for the development of two types of political capital cities and one type of economic and cultural capital cities during the nineteenth century. A partial standardization of the functions and statuses of capital cities occurred later. The European Union is neither a state nor a super-state since its main responsibilities are still in the economic field, it lacks a huge administrative bureaucracy and does not have definitive territorial limits. The European Union has officially three capital cities, Strasbourg, Luxembourg and Brussels. The really important one is Brussels. Its functions are nevertheless quite different from those of national capital cities during the first half of the twentieth century. European capital cities are thriving because most of them managed to become economic metropolises. The result is that the European Union has a complex and rapidly evolving system of capital cities.
