At sufficiently high temperatures and/or long periods, the elastic behaviour of crystalline material gives way progressively to viscoelastic behaviour associated with the stress-induced migration of crystal defects. This transition is marked by the onset of appreciable strain energy dissipation accompanied by frequency dependence (dispersion) of the shear modulus and elastic wave speeds. Ultrasonic interferometry and torsional forced-oscillation techniques can be used to probe the low-amplitude stress-strain behaviour of fine-grained polycrystalline material in two very different frequency ranges, respectively 10-100 MHz and 1 mHz-1 Hz. Here we demonstrate and apply these two complementary methods in a study of the high-temperature mechanical behaviour of a fine-grained synthetic olivine polycrystal. At the high frequencies of ultrasonic interferometry, the shear wave speed varies linearly with temperature between room temperature and the highest experimentally accessible temperature (1300 °C) in close accord with expectations based on similarly high-frequency studies of the elastic behaviour of single-crystal olivine. However, at teleseismic frequencies (<1 Hz) and temperatures >900 °C, the shear wave speed becomes much more strongly temperature-sensitive reflecting markedly viscoelastic behaviour. Newly emerging laboratory-derived constraints on this viscoelastic enhancement of the temperature sensitivity of seismic wave speeds and its grain-size dependence will provide a more robust interpretation of seismological models for the variation of wave speeds and attenuation within the Earth's interior.  相似文献

河北牛驼镇地热田高温地热水成因分析   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
牛驼镇地热田以基岩热储层最优,是目前地热田开发利用条件最好的热储层。牛驼镇基岩热储水温60℃~100℃,顶板埋深最浅处小于500m,一般为800~1500m,涌水量50~110 m3/h。基岩地热水水化学类型为Cl—Na型水,偏硅酸浓度46~92mg/L,偏硼酸浓度5.0~33 mg/L,氟浓度5.41~11 mg/L,是优质的理疗矿泉水。本文着重从构造运动的角度分析了牛驼镇高温地热水的形成。阐述了自元古代的吕梁运动开始至二叠纪期间,研究区在经过"三降两升"的五个地史发展期中不仅沉积了良好的基岩热储层,亦储藏了丰富的水源。随着新生代喜山运动的活跃,在牛东等断裂的控制下,牛驼镇凸起发育成熟,在此过程中,牛驼镇凸起暴露地表,沉积了新近系和第四系,构成基岩热储的良好盖层。另外,由于基岩热储岩性的热导率较高及埋藏深度较浅,使得牛驼镇地热田拥有相对较高温度的地热水资源。  相似文献

利用1951—2018年吉林省50站逐日最高气温资料,采用气候倾向率、距平累积、灰色关联度、正态分布等方法分析了吉林省高温天气的时空分布特征、建立了吉林省高温过程综合指数、高温过程评估等级指标和气候重现期指标。结果表明:近68 a来,吉林省年平均高温日数总体呈增加趋势,气候倾向率为0.04 d/10 a。吉林省高温次数阶段性变化明显,1959—1996年为偏少时段;1951—1958年、1997—2018年为偏多阶段。吉林省高温天气主要出现在6月中旬至8月中旬,其中7月下旬最多,8月上旬次多。西部为高温的高发区,吉林省年平均高温日数呈自西向东减少特征。对高温过程进行了等级划分,并给出等级及气候重现期评估指标,对于高温过程,可采用综合指数评估指标和各分项评估指标进行评估,便于在决策业务中应用。  相似文献

Crystallographic determinations on natural olivine single crystals of mantle composition and origin, carried out by in situ neutron diffraction at high temperature, show that the octahedrally co-ordinated Fe2+ and Mg cations undergo two successive trends of cation ordering with increasing temperature. An initial slight preference of Fe2+ for site M1, up to a temperature of about 850?°C, is followed by a reverse-ordering reaction with a site preference exchange between the two cations. The cross-over between the two regimes of ordering, corresponding to a situation of complete disorder, occurs at about 900?°C. Above this temperature Fe2+ progressively and strongly segregates into site M2 up to 1300?°C, the practical limit of the experimental setup utilized in the experiments. Care was taken to ensure that no chemical changes occurred in the crystals (i.e. oxidation), as testified by Mössbauer spectroscopy determinations carried out before and after the heat treatment. The cation-ordering behaviour is reflected in temperature-dependent changes of geometrical and atomic displacement parameters occurring in the octahedral sites M1 and M2. A thermodynamical explanation of this behaviour is proposed in terms of a prevailing vibrational contribution to entropy.  相似文献

The enthalpy of formation of petalite, LiAlSi4O10, has been measured using high-temperature solution calorimetry. The measurements were carried out in a Calvet-type twin micro calorimeter at 728?°C. A 2PbO?·?B2O3 melt was used as a solvent. Tabulated heats of formation of the components and tabulated heat capacities of the reactants and the product (Robie and Hemingway 1995) were used to calculate the standard heat of formation of petalite from the measured heats of solution. The calculations yielded a mean value of Δ f H pet 298.15=?4872±5.4 kJ mol?1. This value may be compared to the heat of formation of Δ f H pet 298.15= ?4886.5±6.3 kJ mol?1 determined by the HF solution calorimetry by Bennington et?al. (1980). Faßhauer et?al. (1998) combined thermodynamic data with phase-equilibrium results to obtain best-fit thermodynamic results using the Bayes method, in order to derive an internally consistent dataset for phases in the NaAlSiO4– LiAlSiO4–Al2O3–SiO2–H2O system. They determined ?4865.6?±?0.8?kJ?mol?1 as the enthalpy of formation of petalite, a value that is appreciably closer to the enthalpy found in this work.  相似文献

杭州市高温致灾因子危险性风险区划   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
利用杭州市各气象观测站和自动气象站多年气温资料,以及数理统计方法和Arc GIS空间分析技术,采用极端高温与高温日数作为高温致灾因子风险的主要评价指标,分析杭州市高温天气的气候特征,对杭州市高温灾害致灾因子危险性进行了区划。结果表明,杭州市高温天气灾害较为严重,常出现38.0℃以上的高温,40.0℃以上也不少见,最高达到42.9℃;高温日数较长,最长持续时间超过50 d。杭州市高温灾害危险性风险高值区大部分集中在杭州城区所在的东北部平原,包括上城区、下城区、拱墅区、江干区、滨江区、西湖区西南部、萧山区及余杭区大部。另外,富春江、分水江等沿江两岸,西南部的河谷、盆地以及中部地势较复杂的谷地、盆地等低海拔地区也处于高温危险性中高值区域;北部天目山、西北部昱岭及白际山、西南部千里岗山及龙门山脉高海拔地区均属于危险性风险低值区域。  相似文献

A recent fascinating development in the study of high-grade metamorphic basements is represented by the finding of tiny inclusions of crystallized melt(nanogranitoid inclusions) hosted in peritectic phases of migmatites and granulites. These inclusions have the potential to provide the primary composition of crustal melts at the source. A novel use of the recently-published nanogranitoid compositional database is presented here. Using granulites from the world-renowned Ivrea Zone(NW Italy) on which the original melt-reintegration approach has been previously applied, it is shown that reintegrating melt inclusion compositions from the published database into residual rock compositions can be a further useful method to reconstruct a plausible prograde history of melt-depleted rocks. This reconstruction is fundamental to investigate the tectonothermal history of geological terranes.  相似文献

The temperature dependences of the crystal structure and intensities of the (113) and (211) reflections in calcite, CaCO3, were studied using Rietveld structure refinements based on synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction data. Calcite transforms from to at about T c = 1,240 K. A CO3 group occupies, statistically, two positions with equal frequency in the disordered phase, but with unequal frequency in the partially ordered phase. One position for the CO3 group is rotated by 180° with respect to the other. The unequal occupancy of the two orientations in the partially ordered phase is obtained directly from the occupancy factor, x, for the O1 site and gives rise to the order parameter, S = 2x − 1. The a cell parameter shows a negative thermal expansion at low T, followed by a plateau region at higher T, then a steeper contraction towards T c, where the CO3 groups disorder in a rapid process. Using a modified Bragg–Williams model, fits were obtained for the order parameter S, and for the intensities of the (113) and (211) reflections. Icelandic high temperature geothermal systems are considered to number thirty three, thereof three are submarine and seven subglacial. All are briefly described but the chemistry of fluids from twenty four of them is considered. The fluid in the three submarine areas and those four on land that are closest to the sea are relatively saline but to a differing extent mixed with groundwater. The rest contain dilute fluids. The fluids of the central highland systems are mostly locally derived but may in some instances be quite old whereas those in the northerly Krafla area which is inland and the Öxarfjörður area which is close to the sea appear to be a mixture of local and central highland water, but those in the inland Hengill, Geysir, Námafjall and Theistareykir areas appear to have travelled relatively long distances from the central highlands. The gas observed is magmatic except in the northerly Öxarfjördur area close to the sea where it is apparently derived from organic sediments.  相似文献
