In a joint effort between engineers and scientists at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the California Institute of Technology, a near-infrared (0.8–2.6 m) direct imaging system has been developed and integrated into the Caltech Palomar Observatory detector series. The camera system has been tested and operated in a science mode at the prime-focus (f/3.3) of the Hale 5-m Telescope. 在古地磁的研究中,如何从复杂多样的退磁数据中获取能够代表岩石形成时期的古地磁场方向的原生剩磁组分,是关系到古地磁数据是否可靠、古地磁结果是否令人信服的根本环节之一,因此,如何充分利用实验室退磁数据所提供的各种信息去获取同源磁化的一组样品的原生剩磁方向是一个很有研究价值的问题。在总结前人的各种定性或定量的多磁成分分离技术的基础上,详细讨论了重磁化大圆的极和线性坳陷区内退磁平面的极的最佳拟合大圆的最小二乘拟合法,提出了综合使用主成分分析法、线性谱分析法、重磁化圆法以及退磁平面及重磁化大圆的二次拟合法,对来自同源磁化的一组样品进行系统分析,以获取一组样品的特征剩磁方向的方法,并应用于实际研究工作中。 相似文献

Although the non-Gaussian nature of many hydrologic time series is well recognized and their nonlinearity is suspected, neither property is well tested. This situation has existed partly because of a lack of appropriate tests. Recently Hinich (1982) has developed a test to test the linearity of time series which is based on the bispectral characteristics of the series. This test is used in this study to investigate the linearity and non-Gaussian characteristics of annual and daily rainfall and runoff series. The annual series may be modeled by linear models with Gaussian inputs. The daily data, on the other hand, often demonstrate nonlinear characteristics and are non-Gaussian as well. 相似文献

在地震勘探随机噪声压制领域,噪声通常被假设为平稳、高斯随机过程的信息.然而,在某些情况下,这样的假设并不准确.本文应用现代统计检验方法对地震勘探随机噪声的平稳性、高斯性和线性进行了研究.结果表明地震勘探随机噪声并不是传统意义上认为的平稳随机过程,其平稳性受到噪声时长和采集环境复杂程度的影响.发现噪声时间越长,采集环境越复杂,随机噪声的平稳性越差,但是对于短时长随机噪声而言,其可以近似认为是平稳的.同时,采集环境的复杂程度也影响着随机噪声的高斯性和线性特性,环境条件越复杂,随机噪声高斯性越好,线性特性越差,但总的来说随机噪声可以归为线性非高斯随机过程. 相似文献

Unit hydrograph (UH) and its numerous derivatives have been popular for estimation of flood hydrographs. Two major assumptions still overshadow UH applications. One is the linearity and the other is time invariance. In theory, only peak discharge of an equilibrium hydrograph follows linear proportionality to excess rainfall intensity. In trying to relax the linearity constraint, this paper aims to propose a nonlinear way of transforming a given UH to other general hydrographs. The transformation or mapping technique relies on a simple rainfall ratio raised to a power less than unity. The case of nonlinear transformation is illustrated for a number of watershed geometries with either known kinematic wave analytic solutions or observed data. The nonlinear UH approach also relaxes the assumption of constant time base of the UH. The proposed nonlinear UH transformation may thus be viewed as a major step in closing the gap between physically based and traditional UH-based surface runoff simulation approaches. 相似文献
