基于GML的WFS研究与实现

网络要素服务(webfeature services, WFS) 是空间数据互操作的一个重要组成部分, 能为不同GIS数据格式提供要素级的交互.基于地理标志语言(geography markup language, GML) 的WFS能够为Web环境下的空间数据互操作技术和空间信息处理互操作技术提供简单而又有效的基本数据访问、要素编辑(包括添加、删除、更新)、要素的组合查询.通过研究开放式GIS联盟(open GIS consortiumInc., OGC) 的标准规范, 使用MAPGIS基础平台和.NET编译环境实现WFS, 使用XML传输和存储地理信息, 其中包括属性和地理要素的几何属性.最后给出了以MAPGIS平台为基础的基于GML的WFS的体系结构和实现方法.WFS只解决了空间数据互操作的一部分, 为了更好的进行空间数据互操作, WCS、WCTS的实现是必不可少的.      

Coincidence of cadmium and antibiotic resistance in New York Bight apex benthic microorganisms

Microorganisms resistant to 1–500 ppm cadmium were isolated over an 11 month period from sediments at the sewage sludge, dredge spoils and industrial acid waste disposal sites, as well as at an estuarine outflow to the New York Bight apex. Tests for antibiotic resistance in these isolates revealed that 94% of the isolates were resistant to one or more antibiotics and that 91% of the original isolates could be characterized by multiple drug resistance. Different selective pressures may account for the various genera and antimicrobial resistance patterns observed. The possibility of extrachromosomal linkage of cadmium and streptomycin resistance is discussed.     

GIS互操作与OGC规范

不同GIS间的互操作是地理信息共享与服务的一个至关重要的问题,制订地理信息的互操作标准、规范已成为解决问题的关键。本文描述了在分布式计算环境下GIS互操作的含义、面临的问题与标准化需求;简述了开放地理信息系统协会(OGC)的地理信息互操作视点、互操作应用程序接口;着重介绍了互操作规范及其相互关系,已获采纳的实现规范及其制定流程、已进入讨论稿和推荐稿阶段的实现规范。     

Vaterite formation during coal liquefaction

The vaterite form of calcium carbonate seldom occurs in geological formations or during chemical processing. However, vaterite crystals form during the liquefaction of a Wyoming subbituminous coal. Gravitational separation of the coal showed vaterite to form because of the presence of some other mineral in the coal matrix. Model compound studies with calcium acetate identified silica and possibly iron pyrite to be minerals found in coal which seed vaterite crystals.
