Interactions between hydrokinetic turbines and near scale and far scale bed sediment particles are considered a critical area of assessment; however, a limited number of research studies have been published to address this issue. The current paper explores the influence of the blockage ratio on the morphology evolution downstream from a hydrokinetic turbine. A modeling framework is derived to predict the significant transport induced by a turbine installed on the erodible fluvial sandy bed surface, such as the Eulerian multi-phase model for the sediment and the Blade Element Momentum Theory (BEMT) for the turbine, using the open source platform OpenFOAM. Two configurations of different blockage ratios are considered. The configurations show differences in the bed morphology and the sediment transport. It has been shown for both configurations that the scour capabilities are enhanced below the turbine due to the acceleration of the flow and increasing local shear stress on the sediment.  相似文献

Aquatic macrophytes can severely retard flow rates in the river channels that they occupy. Consequently, there is a need to improve our ability to model vegetation resistance, to aid flood prediction and allow for better-informed channel management. An empirical model is developed to calculate flow resistance (Manning’s resistance coefficient) of channels containing the submergent macrophyte Ranunculus (water-crowfoot). Blockage factors (the proportion of a cross-section blocked by vegetation) were determined for up to nine cross-sections at each of 35 river sites. These were used to create blockage-factor percentiles, which were regressed against vegetation resistance. An exponential best-fit relation involving the 69th blockage-factor percentile gave the best results. A parameter relating the length of the vegetated/solid boundary in contact with the open channel to the length of the conventionally-defined wetted perimeter improved the model fit by acting as a pseudo-measure of the turbulent-energy losses generated within the unvegetated stream by the macrophytes. The model was tested on three additional sites containing different macrophyte species and much higher vegetation blockages, and was found to work well.  相似文献

The transport of woody debris from urban surfaces,through local urban waterways,to constriction and blockage risk locations is not well understood.Flume trials have identified debris and watercourse dimensions as influential factors on debris movement,and large woody debris movement has been traced in the natural rural environment using time series photography,active transponders,and field surveys.Using novel passive transponder technology,small woody debris has been traced through an urban case study watercourse to establish key influential factors on urban debris transport.Through incorporating urban debris transport detail into the source and deposition process,a complete picture of urban debris transport can be created,supporting effective culvert and trash screen design,watercourse maintenance and blockage risk assessment.This case study highlights that factors beyond watercourse depth and velocity are influential in debris movement within an urban watercourse.Debris dimension and source location upstream are shown to significantly affect the potential for debris to reach a downstream constriction,illustrating a possible distance limitation in nuisance flow debris blockage risk.  相似文献

本文介绍了车载双偏振雷达参数ZDR的处理方法,首先分析了信噪比SNR对ZDR参数的影响,得出信噪比SNR至少要18 d B,ZDR数据才可信;其次分析了雷达附近的不同类型遮挡物对ZDR参数的影响,结果表明,尖状的遮挡物容易造成ZDR正的偏差,房屋等遮挡物容易造成负偏差,而对树林等遮挡物,偏差的正负变化很大。随着遮挡程度的减小,ZDR的变化幅度变小;针对ZDR的系统误差,使用反射率因子结合ΦDP增量可以很好的进行计算,ZDR系统误差在短时间内变化不大,但是,随时间变化而逐渐变化,需要进行实时订正;最后,使用FIR滤波方法进行KDP参数计算并用于ZDR衰减订正,取得了不错的效果。针对业务应用,给出了实时处理ZDR参数的业务流程图。  相似文献

近年来水源热泵空调系统的应用越来越广泛,回灌技术是水源热泵系统的发展的瓶颈,研究分析水源热泵回灌能力、回灌状况等,解决回灌过程中普遍出现的回灌难问题,能够为水源热泵系统开发利用提供有力的技术支撑。通过对地质科技园办公楼水源热泵中央空调实地调研,了解目前回灌系统的回灌量变化状况。结合空调系统以往运行中的经验,研究分析回灌系统回灌效果较差的原因是气堵原因。为方便实时掌握空调运行系统的运行情况,设计安装了水源热泵空调工程长期运行监测系统。围绕解决回灌系统出现的气堵问题,研发安装了新型回灌井头系统,提升系统回灌能力。  相似文献

The erosion and delivery processes of mine waste accumulations were reproduced through flume tests under 13 different experimental condition sets. Analysis of the flume test results showed that different scale model landslides, induced by the incision of mine waste accumulations, slipped into the channel and caused complete or partial blockages, with 28 complete blockages and 122 partial blockages observed during the flume tests. The failure of these temporary landslide dams amplified the peak discharge significantly, with the amplification more obvious when caused by the failure of a complete blockage compared to a partial blockage under the same experimental conditions. In order to explore the threshold conditions of a complete blockage, a new blockage index(Ibs) was developed to represent the degree of blockage. It was found that the threshold value of the blockage index for a complete blockage was around Ibs=4.0. What's more, there was a significant negative correlation between the blockage index and the amplification coefficient of peak discharge caused by the failure of a landslide dam.These preliminary results are intended to provide a scientific basis for future research on the disaster prevention and mitigation of mine waste debris flows, as the processes and mechanisms underlying the erosion and delivery of mine waste accumulations by upstream flows along a gully have not yet been clearly identified.  相似文献

A 0.4 m diameter (1:30th scale) horizontal axis marine current turbine (MCT) was tested in a circulating water channel. The turbine performance and wake characteristics were determined over a range of flow speeds and rotor thrust coefficients. Measurements of the water surface elevation profiles indicated increasing variation and surface turbulence with increasing flow speeds. Blockage-type effects (where the measured point velocity was greater than the inflow velocity) occurred around the sides of the rotor for all flow speeds. Although the effects were exaggerated at model scale, it is expected that reasonable variations in water level and flow velocity could also occur over a full scale MCT array.  相似文献
