We find that in general relativity slow down of the pulsar rotation due to the magnetodipolar radiation is more faster for the strange star with comparison to that for the ordinary neutron star of the same mass. Comparison with astrophysical observations on pulsars spindown data may provide an evidence for the strange star existence and, thus, serve as a test for distinguishing it from the neutron star.  相似文献

It has been found that in general relativity slow down due to the energy losses through charged particles outflow in plasma magnetosphere strongly depends on star’s compactness parameter and is more faster for the neutron star with comparison to that for the strange star of the same mass. Comparison with astrophysical observations on pulsars spin down precise data may provide important information about star’s compactness parameter and consequently an evidence for the strange star existence and, thus, serve as a test for distinguishing it from the neutron star.  相似文献

We perform a study to describe motion of charged particles under the influence of electromagnetic and gravitational fields of a slowly rotating wormhole with nonvanishing magnetic moment. We present analytic expression for potentials of electromagnetic field for an axially symmetric slowly rotating magnetized wormholes. While addressing important issues regarding the subject, we compare our results of motion around black holes and wormholes in terms of the ratio of radii of event horizons of a black hole and of the throat of a wormhole. It is shown that both radial and circular motions of test bodies in the vicinity of a magnetized wormhole could give rise to a peculiar observational astrophysical phenomenon.  相似文献

The collision of test charged particles in the vicinity of an event horizon of a weakly magnetized non-rotating black hole with gravitomagnetic charge has been studied. The presence of the external magnetic field decreases the innermost stable circular orbits (ISCO) radii of charged particles. The opposite mechanism occurs when there is nonvanishing gravitomagnetic charge. For a collision of charged particle moving at ISCO and the neutral particle falling from infinity the maximal collision energy can be decreased by gravitomagnetic charge in the presence of external asymptotically uniform magnetic field.  相似文献

The shadow of rotating Ho?ava-Lifshitz black hole has been studied and it was shown that in addition to the specific angular momentum a, parameters of Ho?ava-Lifshitz spacetime essentially deform the shape of the black hole shadow. For a given value of the black hole spin parameter a, the presence of a parameter Λ W and KS parameter ω enlarges the shadow and reduces its deformation with respect to the one in the Kerr spacetime. We have found a dependence of radius of the shadow R s and distortion parameter δ s from parameter Λ W and KS parameter ω both. Optical features of the rotating Ho?ava-Lifshitz black hole solutions are treated as emphasizing the rotation of the polarization vector along null congruences. A comparison of the obtained theoretical results on polarization angle with the observational data on Faraday rotation measurements provides the upper limit for the δ parameter as δ≤2.1?10?3.  相似文献

Capture cross section of magnetized particle (with nonzero magnetic moment) by braneworld black hole in uniform magnetic field is studied. The magnetic moment of particle was chosen as it was done by de Felice and Sorge (Class. Quantum Gravity 20:469, 2003) and for the simplicity particle with zero electric charge is chosen. It is shown that the spin of particle as well as the brane parameter are to sustain the stability of particles circularly orbiting around the black hole in braneworld i.e. spin of particles and brane parameter try to prevent the capture by black hole.  相似文献

The shadow of a rotating black hole with nonvanishing gravitomagnetic charge has been studied. It was shown that in addition to the angular momentum of black hole the gravitomagnetic charge term deforms the shape of the black hole shadow. From the numerical results we have obtained that for a given value of the rotation parameter, the presence of a gravitomagnetic charge enlarges the shadow and reduces its deformation with respect to the spacetime without gravitomagnetic charge. Finally we have studied the capture cross section for massive particles by black hole with the nonvanishing gravitomagnetic charge.  相似文献

We study Maxwell equations in the external background spacetime of a slowly rotating magnetized NUT star and find analytical solutions for the exterior electric fields after separating the equations for electric field into angular and radial parts in the lowest order in angular momentum and NUT charge approximation. The star is considered isolated and in vacuum, with dipolar magnetic field aligned with the axis of rotation. The contribution to the external electric field of star from the NUT charge is considered in detail.  相似文献
