We study the problem of determination of the sound field of a point harmonic source in the coastal zone and the influence of a cylindrical body floating above the source on the sound field formed in the marine medium. A numerical-analytic method is proposed for the determination of the velocity potential. According to this method, the unknown coefficients in the general solution of the problem are determined from the corresponding infinite system of linear algebraic equations by the method of reduction. We present results of numerical calculations for a special case of a waveguide whose parameters are typical of the coastal part of the sea and perform the comparative analysis of the data obtained as a result of variation of the indicated parameters. 相似文献

The Balei earthquake of 6 January 2006 (Mw = 4.5) was felt over a large part of Transbaikalia. Judging by its updated source parameters (earthquake mechanism, seismic moment, and moment magnitude), the event was generated by the Balei–Darasun fault reactivated in the Cenozoic. Exhaustive macroseismic evidence has been collected for the first time from the study area. The reported results fill up the gap in the seismological knowledge of eastern Transbaikalia and can be used for seismic risk mapping and earthquake prediction. 相似文献

By using the hydroacoustic field generated by a point source in a nonuniform marine medium with a cylindrical body floating
on the surface and determined as a solution of the corresponding problem by the method of partial domains, we study the energy
characteristics of the near and far fields. The asymptotics capable of improving the accuracy of calculations is proposed
for the analysis of the posed problem for an infinite system of linear algebraic equations. We also present some results of
numerical calculations for some special cases and their comparative analysis in the case of variation of the parameters of
a waveguide within the ranges typical of the coastal zone of the sea.

The results of detailed studies of the January 6, 2006, Balei earthquake (K
p = 13.1, M
b = 4.7 [7]), which occurred in an almost aseismic area of the east Trans-Baikal Region, are presented. The focal mechanism
and dynamical characteristics of the focus are considered, and the structural-tectonic position of the focus is analyzed.
It is supposed that the focus of this seismic event coincides with an activated segment of the northwest-striking Balei-Darasun
fault. The maximal observed macroseismic intensity was 5–6 points by the MSK-64 scale (in the town of Baleis). The origination
of foci for the earthquake with such intensity and magnitude takes place substantially owing to subhorizontal northeastern
compression, the varied-rank block structure of the medium, and low rate values of tectonic motions; on aggregate, all these
factors promote the accumulation of stresses in the Earth’s crust. The obtained data can be useful for the purpose of assessment
in seismic danger of the region. 相似文献
