Two texturally and chemically distinct types of tourmaline are found inside peraluminous granites of the Moslava?ka Gora, Croatia: nodular tourmaline in the two-mica granite and disseminated tourmaline in the cross-cutting leucogranite dykes. Both tourmaline types belong to alkali tourmaline group, nodular tourmaline being dravite to schorl and disseminated tourmaline corresponding to schorl. Comparison of characteristic parameters of nodular (Nt) and disseminated tourmaline (Dt) shows significant differences in #Fe (0.40?C0.65 for Nt vs. 0.74?C0.85 in Dt) along with variations in the calculated X-site vacancy (0.22?C0.37 pfu in Nt and 0.33?C0.44 in Dt) and ??/(??+Na) ratio (0.23?C0.40 in Nt and 0.34?C0.45 in Dt). Disseminated tourmaline from the MG leucogranites is regarded as an early crystallized magmatic phase, while the interstitial tourmaline from the cores of tourmaline nodules originated from more complex mineralogical and chemical interactions inside the two-mica granite melt. Major element gain (Mg) and loss (Fe, Ca, Na, K) for the ??idealized nodule?? (34 vol. % core + 66 vol. % halo) when compared to the host granite shows that the nodule??s volume is not a completely independent and closed system. Based on the observed characteristics, nodule??s halo can be considered as a ??transitional zone?? between the tourmaline-bearing core and the host granite, texturally and mineralogically related to the host two-mica granite, chemically being an integral part of the nodule??s volume at the same time.  相似文献

This paper presents results obtained during recent studies of legal, financial, and organizational prerequisites to establish the water user associations (WUAs) in Vojvodina Province in Serbia. A procedure for launching a small-scale WUA is also proposed based on field data about two-fold irrigation and drainage systems. At a proof-of-concept level, the decision-making process is simulated by assuming the water users’ assembly as a group of representatives. By combining a multi-criteria method analytic hierarchy process with a social choice (voting) Borda method count, it was shown that a convincing decision-making framework is possible to establish and produce good final solutions (decisions).  相似文献

This study presents changes in diatom flora assemblage composition, TOC, TOC/N and biogenic opal in a 450 cm core of Lake Panch Pokhari, Central Nepal (4,050 m asl), indicating Late Quaternary environmental fluctuations. Four Diatom Zones (DZ) were detected, with two major changes. The first one was found in ~430 cm depth (~14.8 cal. kyr BP), where the original flora characterized by Navicula digitulus Hustedt, Pinnularia rhombarea Krammer, P. aff. viridiformis var. minor Krammer, Encyonema silesiacum (Bleisch) D. G. Mann, Cymbopleura naviculiformis (Auerswald) Krammer and Nitzschia sp. was fully replaced by an assemblage consisting of Aulacoseira alpigena (Grunow) Krammer, Diatoma hyemalis (Roth) Heib., Tabellaria flocculosa (Ehrenberg) Kützing, Brachysira brebissonii Ross and Pinnularia subgibba Krammer, creating a stable diatom assemblage for ~8 kyr (DZ3). The second change was found at ~70 cm (~2.1 cal. kyr BP) when increased nutrient inputs lead to emergence of new taxa such as Fragilaria construens var. subsalina Hustedt, F. tenera (W. Smith) Lange-Bertalot, Eunotia cf. pseudopapilio Lange-Bertalot and M. N?rpel-Schempp and Gomphonema subclavatum Grunow. In order to evaluate the past environmental conditions in the Lake Panch Pokhari, the detected diatom taxa were subjected to analyses of their autecological preferences and dominance within the specific assemblage. We also assumed that TOC/N ratios >10 indicate accelerated erosion due to the strengthening of the Summer Monsoon starting at ~14.8 and between 13.7 and 12.8 cal. kyr BP. Monsoon intensity was most pronounced during the Early Holocene and at the beginning of the Late Holocene. The fluctuations of TOC and TOC/N in the Late Glacial sediments seem to correlate temporally and climatically with oscillations in the Northern Atlantic region.  相似文献

A structure may exhibit a severe strain-softening behaviour when subjected to strong earthquake excitation. Pseudodynamic testing of such structures using an implicit time-integration algorithm may be conceived of as a problem, since the Newton-type iterations, which are often required when structural non-linearity develops, may not converge under these circumstances. An unconditionally stable implicit time-integration algorithm implemented with Newton-type iterations is analysed to provide an insight into this problem. A simple convergence condition is derived to detect possible divergence. The condition is shown to be a sufficient criterion for convergence for general multiple-degree-of-freedom structures, and it is used later on to develop an adaptive time-stepping strategy to avoid divergence under severe strain-softening conditions. The implementation of this technique for pseudodynamic testing is presented. As demonstrated by numerical examples, the algorithm proves to be effective and reliable.  相似文献

A total of 1125 specimens of sardine, Sardina pilchardus, ranging in total length from 4.9 to 12.5 cm (mean 8.31 ± 1.41 cm) and in weights between 1.02 g and 11.18 g (mean 4.40 ± 1.87 g) were randomly sampled using a beach seine from the Krka River estuary. Samples were collected monthly according to their occurrence in this area from October to February during 2002/03, 2003/04 and 2004/05, which is during the spawning period of this species. Monthly fluctuations in the length frequency distributions of sardine were observed during that time. The length–weight relationship of all sardine specimens was described by the equation: W=0.007L2.9587(r2 = 0.9626); and the isometric nature of relative growth was established (t = −5.1495; p < 0.05). According to the allometric condition factor Ka, sardine specimens were in better somatic condition at the beginning of their appearance (spawning period) in the Krka River estuary. The length at which 50% of sardines were mature (L50) was calculated to be 7.9 cm.  相似文献

The reproductive cycle of anchovy, Engraulis encrasicolus (L.), was studied from monthly random samples of purse seine catches. A total of 1477 anchovy specimens were collected from January to December 2003 in the Zrmanja River estuary (Novigrad Sea). The analysis was based on the temporal evolution of gonadosomatic index, mass and stage of gonads. The total length of anchovy ranged from 4.5 to 14.5 cm and mass from 0.56 to 19.80 g. Sex ratio was slightly different from 1:1; the females were insignificantly predominated (♂/♀ = 0.99). The period of reproductive activity was from April to September coinciding with the most developed stages of gonads as well as with the highest gonad weights, and gonadosomatic indices. To estimate the length at maturity, a sub sample of 454 anchovy was taken from May to July (peak of anchovy spawning period). The length at which 50% of anchovy were mature (L50) was calculated to be 8.2 cm. The length–weight relationship of anchovy was described by the expression: W = 3.51 × 10−3 LT3.211 (r2 = 0.998). The relationships between total length–standard length and total length–fork length are LT = 1.1405LS + 0.2420 and LT = 1.0425 LF + 0.3944, respectively.  相似文献

The Rupnica locality became the first protected geosite in Croatia in 1948 owing to a well‐exposed phenomenon of columnar jointing developed in albite rhyolite. According to the geochemical signature, melt that originated at mid‐crustal depths (10–15 km) reached a shallow emplacement level as a high‐temperature lava. Non‐destructive statistical analysis conducted at the geosite revealed that relatively narrow (29.4 ± 6.3 cm) predominantly four‐ and five‐sided columns, tightly packed striae (4.8 ± 2.1 cm) and small‐amplitude wavy sets of columns (wavelength of 32.5 ± 6.7 cm) dominate the exposed part of the Rupnica. A number of features quantified through this statistical approach, together with petrography, geochemistry and the geology of the geosite's surroundings, suggest the rapid cooling of a (sub)surface acidic lava body and the behaviour of the evolving volcanic system, developing columnar jointing under the combined influence of large‐scale constitutional supercooling and thermal contraction processes.  相似文献
