Four upper Campanian-lower Maastrichtian reference sections are described in the Glubokaya and Kalitva river basins and in the Znamenka 1-A Borehole located in the northwestern Rostov region. The sections are composed of the upper Campanian Kagal??nik, Belgorod, Pavlovka, Sukhodol and lower Maastrichtian Efremovo-Stepanovka formations. They are characterized by successive stratigraphically significant macro- and microfossil assemblages: belemnites, calcareous nannoplankton, benthic foraminifers, and radiolarians. The Pavlovka and, particularly, Sukhodol formations contain a specific assemblage of coarsely-agglutinated benthic foraminifers. The first data obtained on radiolarians in upper Campanian-lower Maastrichtian sections of the northwestern Rostov region revealed four assemblages, two of which were previously unknown from Upper Cretaceous sediments of the East European Platform. Most sections enclose a hiatus at the base of the Sukhodol Formation, which comprises two upper Campanian benthic foraminiferal zones. The problem of recognition of the lower Maastrichtian boundary on the East European Platform is considered in accordance with international GSSP requirements.  相似文献

We present the temperature dependence of the specific heat of CoCr2O4 between 2.08 K and 306 K in zero magnetic field. The lattice component can be described by the Komada–Westrum model with a characteristic temperature ΘKW = 541 K. The entropy of the magnetic component amounts to 33.51 J mol?1 K?1 at T = 298.15 K, in good agreement with the magnetic entropy of Co2+ and Cr3+ ions with completely quenched orbital moments. We compare our results with data available in literature.  相似文献

New data on the Onega River estuary’s hydrological and morpholithodynamic regimes are presented. The river’s bottom structure and soil lithology are described on the basis of field sonar survey materials. Experimental bottom relief survey technology and investigation results are presented. Investigations were conducted over about six years at several White-Sea river estuaries onboard the R/V Ecolog. Geomorphology data was obtained using an instrument complex that included an MKS, Microsound side scan sonar, AP-5 acoustic profiler, and LMS-350 echo sounder. ECHOGRAPH and WINRASTR original software was used for data gathering and processing.  相似文献

The peculiarities of the distributional patterns of the water temperature, salinity, current velocities, particulate matter concentration, bottom contour, and zooplankton abundance were studied in relation to the marine-riverine interactions and tide/ebb phases for coast lines of different configurations in the White Sea during the cruises of the R/V Ekolog (August of 2006 and 2007). A significant difference in the manifestation of the combined effect of the marine and riverine impacts (the estuarine concave relief) and only the marine impact (the open-sea straight-line portion) was observed, which results in both variations in the sea water level and the distributional patterns of the suspended matter and the zooplankton.  相似文献
