Nodular monazite occurs in metamorphic rocks worldwide and has zonal REE patterns. This paper focuses on the composition of nodular monazite hosted by Permian black shales of the Kular Ridge in the Kular-Nera terrane. This monazite variety (called kularite in the Russian literature) reaches commercial amounts in placers of the area. The contents of Ce, Nd, and La in the analyzed monazite nodules show correlations at Ce/Nd = 14.39La + 0.0919 (in apfu) and Ce/Nd = 0.2318La + 0.1135 (in wt.%) and vary regularly from core to rim. All monazite compositions fall on this trend, but specific grains may plot in its different parts. Thermodynamic calculations indicate that monazite forms via an intermediate precursor (LnPO4·2H2O). The Ce:La:Nd changes in different grains record Eh-pH variations during nucleation and a gradual temperature increase during subsequent growth. The Ce:La:Nd ratio changes partly in grain rims as a result of oxidative dissolution. Judging by the tectonic setting, REE came to the Kular-Nera rocks from the weathered Tomtor Nb-REE deposit, being transported by the Paleo-Khatanga River with monazite nanoparticles bound to the surface of clay minerals.  相似文献

To adequately describe the hydrophysical processes in water bodies with a high mineralization, it is necessary to take into account the dependence that the thermodynamic characteristics of water have on the amount of salts contained in it. This work investigates some widely known formulas for calculating a number of thermodynamic parameters of mineralized water. The density, freezing temperature, specific heat of evaporation, and relative pressure of saturated vapor over the surface are considered. The possibilities of using these formulas when modeling hydrophysical processes in water bodies with salinity in the range of 0–250 pro mille are analyzed. It is shown that the formulas under consideration should be used when the salinity does not exceed 100 pro mille. If the mineralization is higher, it is necessary to elaborate more suitable formulas on the basis of an approximation of in situ data or data from handbooks.  相似文献

This paper presents characteristics of the structural regions surrounding the Siberian Platform and discusses the Vendian-present time evolution of the Siberian Paleocontinent with the Siberian Craton making up its nucleus. It shows that the paleocontinent underwent significant intraplate compressional deformations with vertical movements and formation of inversion structural features within broad areas. Such epochs of deformation took place at the Riphean-Vendian time boundary, during the Late Paleozoic, Late Triassic, Early Cretaceous, and during the Late Cenozoic. The principal rifting events took place during the Middle-Late Devonian. The paper presents paleotectonic reconstructions of East Siberia at several key time intervals.  相似文献

This work presents the U–Pb (LA–ICP–MS) data of detrital zircons from metasedimentary sequences of northwestern Taimyr. An analysis of the youngest populations of detrital zircons testifies to the wide distribution of Cambrian sequences in the study area, but not Precambrian sequences as was considered earlier, and the need for a substantial revision of the stratigraphic scheme of this area. The detrital zircon age distribution shows that the Timan margin of the Baltic paleocontinent was a major provenance area of the Cambrian sediments in northern and northwestern Taimyr, as well as the coeval sediments of the Severnaya Zemlya archipelago.  相似文献

We have used Stanford magnetic field maps to construct distributions of longitudinal magnetic field gradients in the neighbourhood of polarity inversion lines. The distributions were constructed with proper account of the type of the polarity inversion lines and of the existence or absence of dark filaments above them. It is shown that for polarity inversion lines that pass inside active regions or on their boundary, grad BII distributions for portions of the lines with persisting filament are shifted toward lower values of gradient as compared with grad BII distributions for portions of the lines without filaments. The influence of the spatial resolution of the magnetograms upon polarity inversion line characteristics is discussed.  相似文献

Data on the petrography, geochemistry, and isotopic geochronology of granites from the northern part of the Taimyr Peninsula are considered. The Early–Middle Carboniferous age of these rocks has been established (U–Pb, SIMS). Judging by the results of 40Ar/39Ar dating, the rocks underwent metamorphism in the Middle Permian. In geochemical and isotopic composition, the granitic rocks have much in common with evolved I-type granites. This makes it possible to specify a suprasubduction marginal continental formation setting. The existence of an active Carboniferous margin along the southern edge of the Kara Block (in presentday coordinates) corroborates the close relationship of the studied region with the continent of Baltia.  相似文献

The paper considers the results of high-precision Pb–Pb isotopic analysis of 120 galena samples from 27 Au and Ag deposits of the South Verkhoyansk Synclinorium (SVS) including large Nezhdaninsky deposit (628.8 t Au). The Pb isotopic composition is analyzed on a MC-ICP-MS NEPTUNE mass-spectrometer from solutions with an error of no more than ±0.02% (2σ). Four types of deposits are studied: (i) stratified vein gold–quartz deposits (type 1) hosted in metamorphosed Upper Carboniferous–Lower Permian terrigenous rocks and formed during accretion of the Okhotsk Block to the North Asian Craton synchronously with dislocation metamorphism and related granitic magmatism; (ii) vein gold–quartz (Nezhdaninsky type) deposits also hosted in Lower Permian metasedimentary rocks; (iii) Au–Bi deposits localized at the contact zones of the Late Cretaceous granitic plutons; and (iv) Sn–Ag polymetallic deposits related to granitic and subvolcanic rocks of the Okhotsk Zone of the SVS. The deposits of types 2, 3, and 4 are postaccretionary. The general range of 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, and 208Pb/204Pb ratios is 18.1516–18.5903 (2.4%), 15.5175–15.6155 (0.63%), and 38.3010–39.0481 (2.0%), respectively. In 206Pb/204Pb–207Pb/204Pb and 206Pb/204Pb–208Pb/204Pb diagrams, the data points of Pb isotopic compositions of all deposits occupy restricted, partly overlapping areas along a general elongated trend. The various SVS Au–Ag deposits can be classified according to the Pb isotopic composition in accordance with all three Pb ratios. Deposits of the same type show distinct Pb isotopic compositions that strongly exceed the scale of analytical error (±0.02%). The differences in Pb isotopic composition within specific deposits are low and subordinate and have little effect on variations in the Pb isotopic composition of the SVS deposits. The μ2 values (Stacey–Kramers model), which characterize the 238U/204Pb ratios of ore lead sources of the SVS deposits, widely vary from 9.7 to 9.38. The ω2 values (232Th/204Pb) are 39.82–36.61, whereas the Th/U ratios are 4.04–3.86. The content of all three radiogenic Pb isotopes and μ2 values of feldspars from SVS intrusive rocks are strongly distinct from those of galena of stratified gold–quartz and vein gold–quartz deposits and are identical to Pb of galena from Au–Bi and Sn–Ag polymetallic deposits, indicating a mostly magmatic origin for the Pb of these deposits. Detailed isotopic study of the Nezhdaninsky deposit shows different Pb isotopic composition of two consecutive mineral assemblages (gold–sulfide and Ag polymetallic): ~0.30, ~0.07, and ~0.22% for 206Pb/204Pb, 207Pb/204Pb, and 208Pb/204Pb ratios, respectively. These differences are interpreted as a result of involvement of at least two metal sources during the evolution of an ore-forming system: (i) host Lower Permian terrigenous rocks and (ii) a magmatic source similar in Pb isotopic composition to that of Sn–Ag polymetallic deposits. The Pb isotopic composition and μ2 and Th/U values show that lead of stratified gold–quartz deposits combines isotopic tracers of lower and upper crustal sources (Upper Carboniferous–Lower Permian terrigenous rocks), lead of which was mobilized by ore-bearing fluids. The high 208Pb/206Pb ratios and Th/U evolutionary parameter are common to all Pb isotopic composition of all studied Au–Ag deposits and SVS Cretaceous intrusive rocks and indicate that Pb sources were depleted in U relative to Th. Taking into account the structure of the region and conceptions on its evolution, we can suggest that the magma source was related to lower crustal subducted rocks of the Archean (~2.6 Ga) North Asian Craton and the Okhotsk terrane.  相似文献

The U-Pb dating of detrital zircons from Carboniferous rocks in the northern frontal zone of the Verkhoyansk Fold-and-Thrust Belt (Kharaulakh Anticlinorium) at the boundary with the Siberian Platform is carried out for the first time. The age distribution of detrital zircons from the four dated samples has much in common, indicating that the same sources of clastic material were predominant. All of the samples are dominated by Precambrian zircons; the majority of them are Paleo- and Neoproterozoic grains. Early Ordovician and Late Devonian-Early Carboniferous detrital zircons are also numerous. The igneous rocks of the Taimyr-Severnaya Zemlya and/or Central Asian foldbelts extending along the northern, western, and southwestern margins of the Siberian continent probably were the main source areas of the studied sedimentary successions. The clastic material was transferred at a great distance by large river systems similar to the present-day Mississippi River and deposited in submarine fans at the passive margin of the Siberian continent. The occurrence of the detrital zircons whose age is synchronous to the time of sedimentation of the Carboniferous successions in the northern Verkhoyansk region (320–340 Ma) allows us to suggest that they were derived from the Taimyr-Severnaya Zemlya Foldbelt and that collision of the Kara Block with the Siberian continent began in the Early Carboniferous. The performed study shows the dating of detrital zircons is very helpful for the paleogeographic and tectonic reconstructions.  相似文献

U-Pb SHRIMP-dating of zircons from twenty five intrusions representative of the Main granitoid batholith belt and associated dike swarms (Yano-Kolyma gold bearing province, North East of Asia) are mostly ∼150 ± 3 Ma (Kimmeridgian-Tithonian). Two less widespread impulses of magmatism dated at 160–155 Ma and 146–143 Ma representing the full range of ages present in the Main belt. Paleoproterozoic (∼1.8 Ga) inherited zircons were found in three intrusions from the south-western part of the belt where Precambrian crust of the North-Asia craton is inferred to underlie it.
