The objective of this project was to characterize the freeze-thaw properties of recycled concrete (RCA) and asphalt (RAP) as unbound base and to assess how they behaved in the field for nearly 8 years. This paper includes an examination of existing information, laboratory studies of freeze-thaw behavior, and evaluation of data from MnROAD field-test sections in a seasonally cold region, i.e., in Minnesota, USA. Test sections were constructed using recycled materials in the granular base layers at the MnROAD test facility. One test section included 100% RAP, another 100% RCA, a third one a 50/50 blend of RCA/natural aggregate, and a fourth one only natural aggregate (Class 5) as a control. The stiffness (i.e., elastic modulus) was monitored during construction and throughout the pavement life by the Minnesota Department of Transportation, along with the variation of temperatures and moisture regimes in the pavement to determine their effects on pavement performance. The resilient modulus of each material was determined by bench-scale testing in accordance with NCHRP 1-28a, as well as by field-scale tests incorporating a falling-weight deflectometer. Specimens were subjected to as many as 20 cycles of freeze-thaw in the laboratory, and the change in their resilient modulus was measured. In the field-test sections constructed with the same materials as the base course, temperature, moisture, and field modulus (from falling-weight deflectometer tests) were monitored seasonally for nearly 8 years. From the temperatures in the base course layer, the number of freeze-thaw cycles experienced in the field was determined for each test section. Inferences were made relative to modulus change versus freeze-thaw cycles. Conclusions were drawn for long-term field performances of the recycled base (RAB) in comparison to natural aggregate.  相似文献

针对混合料生产过程中贮料仓卸料时可能出现的离析现象,通过室内小型模拟试验,观测集料从仓体流出的过程,分析流出材料颗粒组成均匀性的变化特点。结果表明,混合料贮料仓卸料时的离析现象主要是由于细料向下渗透而产生的,集料下落时,细料在自重力作用下通过空隙结构向下渗透,集料发生离析;集料粒径比、分布宽度、平均粒径等因素的变化使料仓中形成不同的集料的空隙结构,使得细料的渗透作用的发生程度不同,从而引起集料离析程度的差异。  相似文献

通过对青藏高原东部地区近几年部分探空资料的分析,得出了一些有意义的结论。结果表明:冬季,青藏高原东侧地区在对流层下部存在明显的逆温现象,在逆温层之下,大气相对湿度大,水汽随高度减小的幅度小,大气处于中性层结状况;在此逆温层之上,大气相对湿度小。在逆温层底部有大量的水汽堆积,在空中形成明显的逆湿层,而在高原主体上并没有此逆温层的存在,高原东侧各站逆温层底的高度差别不大。夏季,青藏高原东侧地区20时可以存在明显的混合层,混合层的高度在成都站最小,重庆站最大,而高原主体混合层高度大于东侧地区。旱年混合层高度大于涝年。8时和20时,冬季大气温、湿垂直特性变化不明显,而夏季具有明显的变化。夏季,降水过程明显抑制混合层的发展,在暴雨过程及其前后,混合层有明显的成熟、消亡、重新建立的特征。  相似文献

This study presents a finite element (FE) micromechanical modelling approach for the simulation of linear and damage‐coupled viscoelastic behaviour of asphalt mixture. Asphalt mixture is a composite material of graded aggregates bound with mastic (asphalt and fine aggregates). The microstructural model of asphalt mixture incorporates an equivalent lattice network structure whereby intergranular load transfer is simulated through an effective asphalt mastic zone. The finite element model integrates the ABAQUS user material subroutine with continuum elements for the effective asphalt mastic and rigid body elements for each aggregate. A unified approach is proposed using Schapery non‐linear viscoelastic model for the rate‐independent and rate‐dependent damage behaviour. A finite element incremental algorithm with a recursive relationship for three‐dimensional (3D) linear and damage‐coupled viscoelastic behaviour is developed. This algorithm is used in a 3D user‐defined material model for the asphalt mastic to predict global linear and damage‐coupled viscoelastic behaviour of asphalt mixture. For linear viscoelastic study, the creep stiffnesses of mastic and asphalt mixture at different temperatures are measured in laboratory. A regression‐fitting method is employed to calibrate generalized Maxwell models with Prony series and generate master stiffness curves for mastic and asphalt mixture. A computational model is developed with image analysis of sectioned surface of a test specimen. The viscoelastic prediction of mixture creep stiffness with the calibrated mastic material parameters is compared with mixture master stiffness curve over a reduced time period. In regard to damage‐coupled viscoelastic behaviour, cyclic loading responses of linear and rate‐independent damage‐coupled viscoelastic materials are compared. Effects of particular microstructure parameters on the rate‐independent damage‐coupled viscoelastic behaviour are also investigated with finite element simulations of asphalt numerical samples. A numerical scheme is developed in order to simulate fluid flow in three dimensional (3‐D) microstructures. The governing equations for steady incompressible flow are solved using the semi‐implicit method for pressure‐linked equations (SIMPLE) finite difference scheme within a non‐staggered grid system that represents the 3‐D microstructure. This system allows solving the governing equations using only one computational cell. The numerical scheme is verified through simulating fluid flow in idealized 3‐D microstructures with known closed form solutions for permeability. The numerical factors affecting the solution in terms of convergence and accuracy are also discussed. These factors include the resolution of the analysed microstructure and the truncation criterion. Fluid flow in 2‐D X‐ray computed tomography (CT) images of real porous media microstructure is also simulated using this numerical model. These real microstructures include field cores of asphalt mixes, laboratory linear kneading compactor (LKC) specimens, and laboratory Superpave gyratory compactor (SGC) specimens. 选取深港西部通道深圳侧接线工程范围内有代表性的淤泥土样,采用均匀设计U20(52×4)安排室内试验,建立了掺入矿渣水泥土的抗压强度回归模型;分析了混合固化剂掺入比、矿渣占固化剂的质量比和龄期及其交互作用对抗压强度的影响;模型预测值和室内平行试验的对比分析表明:该模型具有一定的可信度.模型表明矿渣占混合固化剂的质量比在一定区间内(40%~70%)对水泥土强度的增强效果显著,这与工程实践相吻合;为确定优化配比,建立了求解用多目标优化函数.考虑到现场条件与室内试验的差别,建立了12组相同配比的室内试块及现场搅拌桩对比试验,结果表明:现场搅拌桩的水泥土无侧限强度远低于室内水泥土试块强度,矿渣的增强作用与室内试验各龄期基本一致.  相似文献

在羌塘盆地已经发现了190余处油气显示。近年笔者在盆地北部晚侏罗世地层中发现了迄今最大规模的沥青脉。研究结果表明,该沥青脉产出于上侏罗统索瓦组地层之中,地层下部系与沥青脉的形成有一定关系的中侏罗统夏里组局部含油气显示的盐丘。沥青族组分(%)为:饱和烃5.72、芳烃18.46、沥青质52.37、非烃23.45,说明该沥青脉经过了运移、氧化的过程。同时,沥青脉产出于复背斜范围内,利于油气聚集成藏。这一发现对于羌塘盆地的油气地质的作用具有现实意义。  相似文献

目的

富油煤热解重质焦油制备石墨化泡沫材料是富油煤资源高值化利用的方式之一。

方法

为探究不同反应条件与泡沫炭性能的联系从而制备高性能泡沫炭材料,以重质焦油制备中间相沥青为前驱体,采用高温自发泡法制备泡沫炭。考察不同反应温度、升温速率和反应压力对煤焦油基泡沫炭性能的影响,最后进行Box-Behnken响应面设计实验建立二次多项回归方程,揭示泡沫炭孔隙率、导热系数与反应条件的关系。

结果和结论

结果表明:反应温度、升温速率和反应压力对煤焦油基泡沫炭性能有显著影响。泡沫炭孔隙率的最优值为72.8%,对应的条件为温度559 ℃、压力0.48 MPa、升温速率9 ℃/min,影响因素温度>压力>升温速率;泡沫炭导热系数最优值为0.219 W/(m·K),对应的条件为温度549 ℃、压力2 MPa、升温速率3.9 ℃/min,影响因素升温速率>压力>温度。经过响应面模型优化后的工艺参数可制备具有良好孔隙率及导热性的泡沫炭材料,为提升富油煤热解效率提供新方案。
