市场经济的繁荣和全球传统地质行业的不景气,给地质院校在原有轨道上的发展带来了困难,在新的领域进行开拓带来了机遇。为适应新形势,抓住新机遇,要转变地学本科教育观念,在教学指导思想、内容和方法上进行改革,激发学生学习地学的积极性。西方国家的地质教学理念和方法对我们有一定借鉴作用。

Forced Evictions in Kenyan Cities

Forced evictions are widespread in Kenyan cities and are, on the surface, caused by conflicts in land rights, non–payment of excessive land and house rents, and urban redevelopment. But, more fundamentally, evictions are due to factors embedded in the country's political economy, in particular, the grossly inequitable land ownership structure which makes it difficult for the poor to access land and decent shelter. Evictions cause significant socioeconomic hardship to individuals, affecting cities and whole nations. To avoid evictions, I argue that Kenya must make its political economy more inclusive, implement land reform, domesticate its municipal planning and related by–laws, and create a proactive slum settlements policy. This paper is based on secondary data, largely drawn from the extensive coverage of urban evictions in recent decades in Kenya's leading newspapers.     

Policies and Practices for an Antiracist Geography at the Millennium

As we enter the new millennium, geographers have a momentous opportunity to reflect upon the historical development of our discipline and the academic culture within which it thrives, with the aim of setting out an antiracist agenda. We advocate a fundamental refashioning of the discipline, not simply an extension of its research agenda; for racism, like gender, is not just another item in the lexicon of geographical subjects. The agenda includes, but is not limited to: clarifying relations between racism and law; racism and immigration policy; racism and poverty; and mobilizing racialized groups around policy issues. These items need to be addressed both through scholarship and through activism, as centering geographical practices in the streets rather than in the academy impels not only more effective social change, but also new theoretical understanding of geographies of engagement. Our agenda for antiracist geography also involves three aspects of institutional change: to build up on and extend traditional geographical scholarship; to change the basis of the discipline by extending the principles of antiracism throughout our institutional practices, particularly in the classroom; and to change the face of the discipline by increasing the participation and contributions of geographers of color.

实施课程思政是实现立德树人根本任务的重要途径。随着课程思政改革的深入推进,传统的教学模式在部分教学环节出现了“失效”的现象,亟需一套新的教学模式以适应课程思政改革的要求。世界地理是地理学专业的核心课程,全球百年变局、“一带一路”倡议、课程思政改革等多重背景为世界地理教学提供了新的契机,同时也赋予了新的使命。为此,融合多种国内外先进教学模式,构建了服务“一带一路”的世界地理课程思政“金字塔”教学新模式。提出以服务“一带一路”建设为教学宗旨;奉行教学与科研融合,理论与实践并重的教学理念;以知识、能力和思政的综合达成为教学目标;着力实施理论课程群体化、教学资源多样化、教学内容时代化和教学手段多元化四大建设举措。以期更好地培养具有“世界眼光、家国情怀、专业素养”的卓越拔尖人才,为服务“一带一路”倡议建设提供人才智力保障。

论述了物理大地测量学的教学目的和在相关学科中的地位与作用,分析了其内容设置与学时安排,提出了课程教学方法和教学手段的具体建议.

分析了近景摄影测量课程集中实习中教学内容、实习手段及教学管理中存在的问题,提出将实习改革为综合型实习的措施,改进了教学管理手段,并被证明是有效的.     

从测绘仪器的发展谈控制测量学课程的改革

针对新型测绘仪器的发展与应用,在控制测量学的教学过程中从3个方面进行改革。测量平面控制网的建立方法中,重点介绍利用GPS定位技术建立的大地测量控制网,将全站仪、数字水准仪在实际工作中的具体开发应用作为重点,采用先进教学手段教学,加强实践环节,注重动手能力的培养。通过实际教学的反馈,取得良好的效果。     

以实践为导向的地理信息系统“逆向”教学模式

地理信息系统（GIS）和城市规划有着天然的联系,前者是后者进行空间分析、决策支持的重要工具,也是后者日常业务信息化的技术平台。本文作者在城市规划专业的GIS教学中,采用了以实践为导向的教学模式,主要采取三方面的措施：①设计了一系列和实践有密切联系的练习;②这些练习主要靠学生课余独立完成;③原理讲课安排在练习之后,内容精炼,适当回顾练习。上述三项措施经多年摸索、改进而形成,在不增加课内总学时的条件下,自主应用的能力逐年增强,知识面也得到扩展。     

测绘工程专业开设测绘科学简史课程初探

测绘工作是艰苦行业之一,为了使学生了解专业情况,一般是通过入学后的专业教育和认识实习来完成。目前有些学校通过开设测绘学概论课程解决专业思想问题,但是收到的效果并不理想。为更好地消除专业情绪,使学生了解测绘学科的发展历史和拓宽专业视野,在学习几门专业基础课后开设了测绘科学简史课程。在分析开设课程必要性的基础上,详细阐述了课程性质、学时安排和教学内容安排,提出了课堂教学和上机的具体内容,最后提出了详细的课程考核方法。
