Resource Flows of Villages with Contrasting Lifestyles in Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve, Central Himalaya, India

Resource use efficiency analyses of village ecosystem are necessary for effective and efficient planning of resource utilization. This paper deals with economic and energy input-output analyses of different components of village ecosystem in representative buffer zone villages, which are practicing transhumance and settled way of lifestyles in Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve （NDBR） of Garhwal Himalaya. While the villages practicing transhumance used various natural resources spatially segregated,the villages practicing settled way of lifestyle have to manage resources from a limited spatial area through rotation and varied extraction intensities. Forests subsidized the production activity in both type of villages and the per capita resource extractions were found to be greater in tran~humance village than settled village. Though crops provided maximum energy, in terms of economic criteria, animal husbandry played important role in both settled and transhumance villages. As villages representing both the situations showed different ways of adjustments to the conservation oriented land use changes, management authority needs to address the eco-development plans fulfilling the aspirations of all people traditionally using the resources of the Reserve to reduce the conflicts and encourage their participation in the conservation of the area.     

基于网格计算环境下的空间信息多级格网研究

本文提出一种适应网格计算环境下的空间信息多级格网(SIMG，Spatial Information Multi-Grid)技术，通过将网格计算技术与地学格网相结合，提出SIMG的构想并探讨其关键技术的实现；通过研究格网内细部地物表示的精度，力求建立SIMG的划分标准，从而建立我国空间信息多级格网的体系结构。

在简述焉耆盆地水资源形成与分布的基础上，论述了平原区水资源开发利用的现状和存在的主要问题，探讨了水资源开发模式，并提出了平原区地表水和地下水联合开发的比例。     

A comparison between cokriging and ordinary kriging: Case study with a polymetallic deposit

Cokriging is applied to the estimation of mineral resources in a polymetallic deposit. Several major steps, which should be taken in using cokriging, are highlighted as necessary practical considerations. The case study is related to an ultramafic copper-nickel deposit. Six elements, Cu, Ni, Au, Ag, Pt, and Pd, occurring in the deposit, are partitioned into three subgroups and the elements within each group are simultaneously estimated on the basis of over 4000 drill assays. A comparison was made between ordinary kriging and cokriging methods through cross-validation. The results show that cokriging has significantly improved the estimates of resources by reducing the overall estimation error by over 15% and the variance of error by over 20%.

Sequential sampling to contour an uncertain function

Sampling exploration of uncertain functions to locate critical contour levels is most effective if sampling decisions are made sequentially. A simple sequential exploration strategy, based on pseudo-Bayesian second-moment analysis, is proposed and compared with non-sequential systematic sampling. Repeated application to functions simulated pseudorandomly from stationary random processes on the line and on the plane indicates uniform superiority of the sequential strategy. The method is particularly advantageous when the function of interest,h(X), has an uncertain trend, and in general when the random process that quantifies prior uncertainty onh(X) is highly correlated.

湖南有色金属生产矿山扩大接替资源的对策

湖南省境内有色金属矿产十分丰富,享有“有色金属之乡”的美誉,但经过多年的开采,90%以上的矿山都面临储量危机的困难,而找矿难度日益增大,常规的找矿技术路线已很难打开找矿效果不佳的局面。因此,在找矿预测过程中,必须以新的理论为指导,采用新的思路,从新的成矿与控矿因素、新的矿床成因类型与成矿模式入手,结合有效的常规手段与新技术,进行系统而科学的研究,并深入分析前人已有成果和投入大量现场调查研究工作,才有可能实现储量危机矿山找矿预测的突破。
