为了改进目前被广泛应用的绝对舒适度指数的局限性，介绍了一种可以用来衡量夏季暑热程度的相对舒适度指数，该指数包含了有些指标没有考虑到的因子，如高温天气的连续天数、云量、有效累积温度等。相对舒适度指数可用于夏季暑热程度与热死亡的关系研究。     

Narrowing down the number of species requiring detailed study as candidates for the EU Common Fisheries Policy discard ban

By 2019, the Common Fisheries Policy will prohibit discarding in all European fisheries of any pelagic, demersal or shellfish species for which removals are managed by TACs and quotas or minimum sizes. However, the regulation allows for exemptions from the prohibition for species for which scientific evidence demonstrates high survival rates associated with discarding. Producing reliable evidence of high survival typically requires long and costly studies involving tagging or captivity. This paper proposes to use the capacity to resist air exposure, a key stressor for discarded animals, as a proxy for survival that can be used to prioritize candidate species for more in-depth discard survival studies. The time required to induce mortality (TM) in air-exposed fish was estimated for ten discarded species under commercial fishing conditions for two artisanal French otter trawlers in the Bay of Biscay and in the English Channel. European seabass, plaice, sole and skates had extended TM values on average, suggesting that these species are good candidates. The three species observed in both regions (plaice, sole and skates) had larger TM values in the English Channel experiment compared to the Bay of Biscay experiment. Among the four measured external conditions that could influence TM (air temperature, fish length, tow depth and tow duration), the air temperature was the most important and the factor that most distinguished the two experiments.     

Geostatistical modelling of the spatial life history of post-larval deepwater hake Merluccius paradoxus in the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem

Optimal and sustainable management of fish resources cannot be ensured without a thorough understanding of the migration patterns and population (demographic stock) structure. Recent studies suggest that these aspects of the economically and ecologically important deepwater hake Merluccius paradoxus are not reflected in the current assessment and management practices for the Benguela Current Large Marine Ecosystem. In this study, we compiled data from multiple demersal trawl surveys from the entire distribution area and applied state-of-the-art geostatistical population modelling (GeoPop) to estimate growth rate, mortality, and spatial and temporal distribution patterns of M. paradoxus. The data and the model enabled us to follow temporal and spatial changes in the distribution and infer movements from the recruitment/nursery areas, through the juvenile phase and the adults’ migration to the spawning areas outside/upstream of the nursery areas. The results indicated one primary recruitment/nursery area on the west coast of South Africa and a secondary less-productive recruitment/nursery area on the south coast near Port Elizabeth. Juveniles initially migrated away from the main recruitment area, followed by natal homing by larger individuals. This pattern was highly consistent through the time-series of the study. This perception of a, primarily, panmictic population that performs transboundary migrations between Namibia and South Africa corresponds largely to the hypothesis and data plots given in recent studies. We recommend that fisheries assessment, advice and management take into consideration these aspects of the distribution and population (stock) structure of M. paradoxus.     

夏季养殖刺参(Apostichopus japonicus)大面积死亡的原因分析与应对措施

夏季刺参大面积死亡正逐渐呈现常态化趋势,不仅造成了巨大的经济损失,同时使刺参资源严重衰退,制约了刺参产业的良性发展,其原因亟待揭示。本文从高温、低氧、低盐、硫化物、氨氮及藻类腐烂等环境因素,以及种质因素、病原因素、人为因素共四方面阐述了夏季刺参大面积死亡的原因,提出"建设工程化"、"养殖机械化"、"监测自动化"及"管理智能化"的应对理念,进而通过培育抗逆良种、调查关键指标并建立风险预警体系、构建综合养殖系统、完善应急处置方案、提高现代养殖技术等应对措施,综合应对夏季极端天气的威胁,为保证刺参健康度夏提供科学参考。     

不同因素影响下突发性强降雨对沙拐枣的危害——以塔里木沙漠公路防护林生态工程为例

塔里木沙漠公路防护林生态工程全长436 km,造林树种以抗逆性较强的沙拐枣(Calligo-num L.)、柽柳(Tamarix L.)、梭梭(Haloxylon Bunge)等优良防风固沙灌木为主,采用高矿化度地下水滴灌.2005年5月,公路沿线出现了罕见的突发性强降雨,由此引起的表层土壤盐分淋溶造成了沙拐枣大量死亡.本研究采用线路调查和随机抽样方法,在突发性强降雨后对塔里木沙漠公路防护林带内沙拐枣死亡率进行了调查,并对调查结果及其原因进行了分析,结果表明:沙拐枣死亡率(1)随林龄的增加而减小;(2)随矿化度的升高而增大;(3)垄间平沙地>过渡区>高大沙垄垄体;(4)林带中央>公路旁>林带外围.
