Condor是应用于分布式高吞吐量作业的资源管理系统,非常适合于遥感影像处理作业。为了屏蔽高性能计算相关模型,降低使用难度,文中基于Condor构建了遥感影像处理服务系统,提出了服务系统的总体架构,完成了遥感影像处理作业提交服务和作业执行服务以及应用接口设计;并对算法扩展、作业提交和执行过程进行了检测。结果表明,系统能够支持复杂的遥感影像处理过程,具有扩展性强,使用方便的特点。  相似文献

Development of efficient forest wildfire policies requires an understanding of the underlying reasons behind forest fire occurrences. Globally, there is a close relationship between forest wildfires and human activities; most wildfires are human events due to negligence (e.g., agricultural burning escapes) and deliberate actions (e.g., vandalism, pyromania, revenge, land use change attempts). We model the risk of wildfire as a function of the spatial pattern of urban development and the abandonment/intensity of agricultural and forestry activities, while controlling for biophysical and climatic factors. We use a count data approach to model deliberately set fires in Galicia, N.W. Spain, where wildfire is a significant threat to forest ecosystems, with nearly 100,000 wildfires recorded during a thirteen-year period (1999–2011). The spatial units of analysis are more than 3600 parishes. Data for the human influences are derived from fine-resolution maps of wildland–urban interface (WUI), housing spatial arrangements, road density, forest ownership, and vegetation type. We found wildfire risk to be higher where there are human populations and development/urbanisation pressure, as well as in unattended forest areas due to both rural exodus and a fragmented forest ownership structure that complicates the profitability of forestry practices. To better help direct management efforts, parameter estimates from our model were used to predict wildfire counts under alternative scenarios that account for variation across space on future land-use conditions. Policies that incentivize cooperative forest management and that constrain urban development in wildlands at hotspot fire locations are shown to reduce wildfire risk. Our results highlight the need for spatially targeted fire management strategies.  相似文献

At the core of land use and governance debates in the United States are purported dualities: economy vs. environment, public goods vs. private rights, and the merits and demerits of regulation. While such dichotomies are inevitably partial, they offer a heuristic to interrogate the deeper nuances of a problem or process. I investigate these dichotomies in one site (Calaveras County, California) along the rural-urban interface (RUI). The RUI is home of some of the most valued places in contemporary society as well as some of the most challenged in terms of planning and management. Land management decisions along the RUI are complicated by social and ecological heterogeneity as well as ongoing, dynamic cultural and environmental change. Differing perspectives and shifting conditions in place influence stakeholders' views on the value and utility of a variety of resources, both environmental and social. This paper investigates how political and environmental ideologies and environmental management preferences are related in order to consider the implications of such divergent perspectives for policy and governance. Using a mixed method approach, I examine varying viewpoints related to the environment/economy dichotomy and conclude that increasing polarization of political and environmental ideals and preferences along the RUI impacts land use planning and policy as well as social, environmental, and economic outcomes. I argue that the physical and cultural landscape of the RUI is transforming and, as such, we must also (re)configure pathways for cooperation and problem solving to effectively address the challenges and contradictions of these social and ecological changes.  相似文献

The present work aims at introducing an efficient numerical approach based on the immersed interface method to estimate the effective thermal conductivity and permeability of geomaterials as porous media with either perfect or debonded interfaces. The first part deals with the problem of the overall thermal properties of a medium containing perfectly bonded inclusions. The evolution of the homogenized properties with respect to the properties of individual constituents, the volume fraction, the spatial distribution, and the shape of inclusions is highlighted. The second part of the paper is devoted to the case of imperfectly bonded inclusions. An extension of the immersed interface method in this context makes it possible to study other aspects that have an influence on the effective properties such as the interfacial resistance and the size of inclusions. The application of the proposed numerical tool to some porous rocks in partially saturated condition shows good agreement with the available experimental results and demonstrates the performance and the flexibility of the developed procedure.Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, a mathematical model is presented for the analysis of dynamic fracture propagation in the saturated porous media. The solid behavior incorporates a discrete cohesive fracture model, coupled with the flow in porous media through the fracture network. The double‐nodded zero‐thickness cohesive interface element is employed for the mixed mode fracture behavior in tension and contact behavior in compression. The crack is automatically detected and propagated perpendicular to the maximum effective stress. The spatial discretization is continuously updated during the crack propagation. Numerical examples from the hydraulic fracturing test and the concrete gravity dam show the capability of the model to simulate dynamic fracture propagation. The comparison is performed between the quasi‐static and fully dynamic solutions, and the performance of two analyses is investigated on the values of crack length and crack mouth opening. Microalgae are significant contributors to biodiversity and primary production in shallow coastal habitats. The invasive Brazilian pepper (Schinusterebinthifolius) can occupy former mangrove habitats in disturbed areas, and its allelopathic capability can affect growth rates of microalgae. The four microalgae tested against dilution extracts of Schinus fruits varied in their growth response, suggesting variable but unpredictable impacts on microalgal biodiversity, primary production, and community structure.  相似文献

Measurements of electric resistivity of the seabed and of the electric conductivity of submarine groundwater discharge (SGD) collected in seepage meters have been made to evaluate temporal variability of the origin and quality of submarine groundwater discharge in Ubatuba, Brazil. A diurnal variation of SGD conductivity was found under the condition of semi-diurnal tidal changes over a period of 4 days. Both the ground resistivity and the conductivity of the discharged groundwater indicated that the freshwater–saltwater interface moved towards offshore at high tide, i.e. in the direction opposite to commonly made observations. SGD comprised a combination of Submarine Fresh Groundwater Discharge (SFGD) of terrestrial origin, and of Recirculated Saline Groundwater Discharge (RSGD) of marine origin. The maximum of the terrestrially derived fraction SFGD/SGD was found at a distance of 50 m offshore. A lower SFGD/SGD ratio was found closer to shore, where the highest SGD flux was measured. SGD conductivity and ground resistivity displayed a diurnal cyclicity at semi-diurnal tidal water level variations, indicating that tidal water level fluctuations may not be the primary driver of SGD flux, but preferential flow in volcanic hydrogeologic setting at Ubatuba.  相似文献

通过对长江口水下沉积物-水界面可溶态无机氮(DIN=NO3- NO2- NH4 )的交换行为研究发现,低潮时近口点(A)沉积物是水体DIN的汇(-2006.99μmol/(m2·h)),而靠近口外点(B)沉积物是水体DIN的源(1848.27μmol/(m2·h))。但高潮时,A点沉积物转变为水体DIN的源(1880.97μmol/(m2·h)),而B点的沉积物转变成为DIN的汇(-956.64μmol/(m2·h))。在距河口较远高低潮盐度变化微弱的地点(P),沉积物始终是水体DIN的源(1872.41μmol/(m2·h))。高低潮海水盐度的变化对沉积物中微生物活动的影响是导致这一变化的主要原因。  相似文献
