Maps Telling Stories?

Maps are good at representing geographic space, but texts have a stronger affordance of telling a story than maps. Telling stories is, however, important to make information more personal and to arrest the map user's attention. This paper contrasts the map and the text media in order to understand why texts are good at telling a story but conventional maps are not. We demonstrate that, by a modification of maps, appropriate structural features of the text media can be transferred to maps, which makes them more suitable for telling stories. This new concept for map design can lead to new interaction possibilities and provide insights into how maps can be used more effectively.     

天地图·福建数据融合技术与方法

通过对福建省1∶10 000核心要素与天地图国家主节点数据研究,分析天地图国家主节点与福建省基础地理信息数据现状,结合天地图数据融合的技术要求,充分考虑融合与共享,设计了福建省1∶10 000核心要素与国家天地图数据融合的总体流程,并分要素阐述处理要求,有效解决了多源多尺度异构数据的融合问题,该技术已经在天地图·福建数据融合项目中得到了应用,为省级基础地理信息数据参与国家天地图数据融合提供了参考。     

ArcGIS环境下地图符号库的实现

地图符号作为地图语言在地图的制作和输出中起着非常重要的作用。但是,由于ArcGIS中的数据输入、编辑、查询与制图模块Arc Map中自带的符号库不能满足我国基本比例尺地图输出的要求,因此,必须为它建立符合地图图式要求的符号库。对于在Arc GIS中不能实现的符号,如电力线,将由Arc Object来制作完成。应用VB程序设计将电力线做出并且加入到Arc GIS环境中去。本文重点论述了Arc GIS环境下地图符号库的设计方法,并分别讨论了点状符号、线状符号和面状符号的实现方式。     

驻村帮扶“一张图”设计与实现——以明溪县为例

结合明溪县驻村帮扶工作的开展情况,探索基于地理信息技术下开展驻村帮扶工作的关键技术,依托"数字明溪地理空间框架"的建设成果,设计并实现了明溪县驻村帮扶"一张图",实现了明溪县驻村帮扶信息可视化、透明化和精准化的管理,增强了明溪县驻村帮扶项目管理的科学性。     

基于“天地图·永定”的永定旅游地图服务网设计与实现

"天地图·永定"是永定区统一、权威、标准的地理信息公共平台,本文利用"天地图·永定"提供的丰富的数据服务和二次开发接口,开发了永定旅游地图服务网,实现了永定旅游服务和"天地图"的融合,为游客提供便捷、丰富的旅游服务,对永定区的旅游发展起到了一定的推动作用。     

中国地图藏南地名的表示

该文针对1958年之后,中国地图上西藏南部有一片地区只标志寥寥无几地名的历史状况,以中国地图上藏南地区编制方法的历史状况为纽带,搜索相关历史事实,重现1958年针对藏南地区地图问题引发的两国交流,认清地图对于国家领土主权确认的重要性,推动标注藏南地区地名标注工作的进行。     

Synchronising geometric representations for map mashups using relative positioning and Linked Data

Map mashups, as a common way of presenting geospatial information on the Web, are generally created by spatially overlaying thematic information on top of various base maps. This simple overlay approach often raises geometric deficiencies due to geometric uncertainties in the data. This issue is particularly apparent in a multi-scale context because the thematic data seldom have synchronised level of detail with the base map. In this study, we propose, develop, implement and evaluate a relative positioning approach based on shared geometries and relative coordinates to synchronise geometric representations for map mashups through several scales. To realise the relative positioning between datasets, we adopt a Linked Data–based technical framework in which the data are organised according to ontologies that are designed based on the GeoSPARQL vocabulary. A prototype system is developed to demonstrate the feasibility and usability of the relative positioning approach. The results show that the approach synchronises and integrates the geometries of thematic data and the base map effectively, and the thematic data are automatically tailored for multi-scale visualisation. The proposed framework can be used as a new way of modelling geospatial data on the Web, with merits in terms of both data visualisation and querying.     

城市地形图数据库建设中若干关系处理的思考

城市地形图数据库建设是城市测绘部门的重要任务之一。本文回顾了地形图数据库建设的历史,分析了城市地形图数据库建设中存在的供求关系、生产和管理关系、各道工序间的关系、质量和效率的关系等4个关系及其解决办法。     

基于Ma PObjects的油气地质信息与评价系统的设计与实现

以往的油气资源评价系统主要是在商用地理信息系统软件平台上开发出来的,其主要缺点就是专业应用模型与系统平台之间不能实现无缝集成。鉴于此,笔者设计实现了基于组件式地理信息系统技术的油气地质信息与评价系统,实现了油气地质信息管理模型与地理信息系统之间的有机结合。利用ESRI公司生产的Ma POb-jects组件,开发出具有通用地理信息系统功能和油气地质信息管理功能的应用系统。该系统可以实现油气地质信息管理、分析和评价等常用功能。     

1∶25万协同图数字制图系统

随着地图数据库的相继建立, 以地图数据库为主要数据源进行地图生产成为迫切需求, 并要求在地图生产的同时, 实现对原有的地图数据库更新。文中所阐述的１∶２５ 万协同图数字制图系统, 可以同时解决１∶２５ 万协同图生产出版和１∶２５ 万地图数据库更新两个难题, 并在应用中取得了重大效益。详细论述了系统的实现方法和解题思路。
