This paper describes the design of a star sensor based upon a high dynamic range CCD in order to reach an arcsec-level attitude
determination in balloon-borne missions. A custom star identification software was developed and laboratory-tested on a prototype
assembled using commercial components. A set of numerical simulations have been carried out to study the dependence on the
pointing precision of the centroid position accuracy, the number of detected stars and the effect of the image focusing. Moreover,
the role of the electronic noise and the discrete pixel structure on the light signals is identified by the analysis of numerical
simulations. Laboratory tests confirm that the arcsec pointing accuracy with a 1 Hz update rate can be achieved with our combination

The main reasons for the high content of inorganic N and its increase by several times in the Changjiang River and its mouth during the last 40 years were analysed in this work. The inorganic N in precipitation in the Changjiang River catchment mainly comes from gaseous loss of fertilizer N, N resulting from the increases of population and livestock, and from high temperature combustions of fossil fuels. N from precipitation is the first N source in the Changjiang River water and the only direct cause of high content of inorganic N in the Changjiang River and its mouth. The lost N in gaseous form and from agriculture non-point sources fertilizer comprised about 60% of annual consumption of fertilizer N in the Changjiang River catchment and were key factors controlling the high content of inorganic N in the Changjiang River mouth. The fate of the N in precipitation and other N sources in the Changjiang River catchment are also discussed in this paper. 相似文献

The carbonate-rock aquifer in the Great Valley, West Virginia, USA, was evaluated using a database of 687 sinkholes and 350
specific capacity tests to assess structural, lithologic, and topographic influences on the groundwater flow system. The enhanced
permeability of the aquifer is characterized in part by the many sinkholes, springs, and solutionally enlarged fractures throughout
the valley. Yet, vertical components of subsurface flow in this highly heterogeneous aquifer are currently not well understood.
To address this problem, this study examines the apparent relation between geologic features of the aquifer and two spatial
indices of enhanced permeability attributed to aquifer karstification: (1) the distribution of sinkholes and (2) the occurrence
of wells with relatively high specific capacity. Statistical results indicate that sinkholes (funnel and collapse) occur primarily
along cleavage and bedding planes parallel to subparallel to strike where lateral or downward vertical gradients are highest.
Conversely, high specific capacity values are common along prominent joints perpendicular or oblique to strike. The similarity
of the latter distribution to that of springs suggests these fractures are areas of upward-convergent flow. These differences
between sinkhole and high specific capacity distributions suggest vertical flow components are primarily controlled by the
orientation of geologic structure and associated subsurface fracturing. 相似文献

Tensioned foundations are common in civil engineering applications such as transmission towers, harbors, offshore structures, basement slabs under pressure, industrial equipment, etc. Procedures for the design of tensioned foundations are discussed in this paper, including specific recommendations for more common transmission tower foundations. Starting from a distinction between shallow and deep modes of failure, the paper presents the most common failure mechanisms for shallow failure in tension, including procedures for calculation of foundation tensile capacity under vertical and inclined loading. This study presents a novel preparedness assessment method for assessing hazard mitigation and environmental planning of hillslope communities. A professional questionnaire was utilized to weight each indicator. Communities in Hsinchu, Taichung and Nantou counties with debris flow hazards were taken as study samples. Debris flow risk and landslide susceptibility for each community were determined using Geographic Information System (GIS) technology and logistic regression analysis. Thus, a novel risk assessment method for evaluating disaster resilience capacity of hillslope communities was established. This method was then applied to assess casualties caused by Typhoon Herb in 1996 and Typhoon Mindulle in 2004. Additionally, the analytical results generated by this assessment method were discussed with the aim of developing references for implementation of risk analysis, increasing the effectiveness of disaster mitigation, and reducing future loss of life and property. 相似文献

By using small scale model tests, the interference effect on the vertical load-deformation behavior of a number of equally
spaced strip footings, placed on the surface of dry sand, was investigated. At any stage, all the footings were assumed to
(i) carry exactly equal magnitude of load, and (ii) settle to the same extent. No tilt of the footing was permitted. The effect
of clear spacing (s) among footings on the results was explored. A new experimental setup was proposed in which only one footing
needs to be employed rather than a number of footings. The bearing capacity increases continuously with decrease in spacing
among the footings. The interference effect becomes further prominent with increase in soil friction angle. In contrast to
an increase in the bearing capacity, with decrease in spacing of footings, an increase in the footing settlement associated
with the ultimate state of shear failure was observed. The present experimental observations were similar to those predicted
by the available theory, based on the method of characteristics. As compared to the theory, the present experimental data,
however, indicates much greater effect of interference especially for larger spacing among footings. 相似文献

生基包滑坡监测属于三峡库区奉节县三期地质灾害监测预警项目之一,该滑坡位于长江左岸,临近人口稠密的安坪乡集镇,地理位置重要。三峡水库175 m蓄水后,其变形破坏特征有何表现?对航道安全运营有无潜在威胁?是否会对滑坡体上的重要建筑及村民生产生活构成危害?针对这些问题,首先分析了滑坡的工程地质特征及主要的影响因素;其次,确立以4种监测手段为主、人工巡查为辅的监测方案;通过对大地变形GPS、深部位移、滑坡推力等几种监测方法的运用及对其成果进行分析研究,以实例说明其在滑坡监测中的应用;再次,结合宏观人工巡查进行对照分析,以充分说明大地变形、深部位移和滑坡推力监测在实际运用中的可行性;最后,根据监测结论提出对生基包滑坡防治的建议。 相似文献
