Landscape adaptation to climate change: Local networks,social learning and co-creation processes for adaptive planning

The development of legitimate, operative, and feasible landscape adaptation planning for climate change is dependent on the specific characteristics of the landscape and its inhabitants. Spatial patterns, culture, governance systems, socio-economic structures, planning methods, history, and collectively envisioned futures need to be accommodated. The literature suggests that landscape is a complex and dynamic socio-ecological system, the management and adaptation of which requires systemic and integrative approaches to respond to a wide variety of drivers of change, challenges, and interests. Based on activities developed in 15 European pilot landscapes, we identify some of the key factors and conditions affecting the generation of representative local networks for landscape adaptation to climate change. We illustrate how social learning and co-creation processes can be implemented in them and how their co-produced outcomes can help local communities overcome barriers and address critical issues in adaptive planning. Our results provide a framework for the creation of similar networks in other landscapes, exploring at the same time the interactions between the composition of networks, social learning, and the quality of the co-produced outputs as a fundamental step for the development of Landscape Adaptation Plans to Climate Change.     

山区三维静校正方法研究

依托国家重大产业技术开发专项“西部煤炭资源高精度三维地震勘探技术”,对“山西国阳新能股份有限公司二矿390水平九采区高精度三维地震勘探”及山西阳泉五矿首采区老资料研究二个项目进行资料处理,以攻克影响勘探精度和分辨率的静校正问题。通过对二区块地震资料分别采用绿山折射静校正、综合折射静校正、层析静校正,发现综合折射静校正相对于绿山折射静校正,可以较好的解决静校正的短波长分量、长波长分量问题,更加准确的刻化出地质构造情况,而层析静校正能够更好地解决近地表横向速度变化大、地表没有同一稳定折射层、地表存在高速体等复杂地形的静校正问题,保证同相叠加和正确成像,提高资料的分辨率及勘探精度。     

Domesticating home anchored work: Negotiating flexibility when bringing ICT based work home in rural communities

Based on a study of people conducting ICT based work from home in Scotland and Norway, the article analyses how work is negotiated and integrated with non-paid activities in the household and local community. The article fills a gap in that it focuses on rural contexts rather than the urban work life often depicted in literature on flexibility and work. When work is brought home, a domestication process takes place whereby practices of work are negotiated and integrated into everyday life, sometimes changing common perceptions of where and when work is “in” or “out of place”. While working from home is common in rural areas, the study shows that ICT based knowledge related work is still seen as relatively “out of place”. Drawing on the domestication concept, the study shows how community norms about accessibility, interaction and where to be at certain times, had to be renegotiated when this type of work was conducted from home. Imbued in these negotiations were subtly often tacitly communicated moral conceptions on what constitutes good parenthood (in particular motherhood) as well as “real” work. Both men and women reported benefits in terms of combining family and work obligations when working from home, but the tendency was still for traditional gender patterns to be reproduced. Women tended to fit work around the needs of the children, whereas men saw themselves first and foremost workers. Following the concept “doing gender” some challenged these patterns, but did so carefully in relation to the work organisation as well as the community. The impact of communities in regulating home anchored work suggests there may be a need for communities to take on a more active domestication process as more people conduct ICT based work with the home as the base, opening up the moral and normative geographies for when work is “in” or “out of place”.     

湖南地区似大地水准面模型再精化研究

湖南地区2007版似大地水准面模型存在数据源质量相对不高、局部区域存在粗差等问题。通过引入EGM2008地球重力场模型、高分辨率DEM数据、高精度GPS/水准数据等新数据源,采用最小二乘配置法与格林基函数样条插值算法,在原有模型的基础上得到1′×1′分辨率的再精化新模型。精度检测结果表明,新模型的内、外符合精度相较2007模型提升80.7%和22.9%,有效降低汉寿等地区的残差,对湖南省地区的复杂地形具有更好的适用性。     

Confronting Power and Environmental Injustice: Legacy Pollution and the Timber Industry in Southern Mississippi

Research has documented how grass-roots activists deploy the environmental justice frame to convey their grievances and demand their right to health and safety. While scholars have highlighted the widespread success of this frame, little attention has been paid to instances where the environmental justice frame fails to resonate. Drawing from social movements and environmental justice literatures, we examine how local discursive and cultural contexts can pose barriers to environmental justice claims. Our case is based on legacy pollution from a decommissioned creosote facility in Southern Mississippi. When black residents discovered the pollution in their neighborhood, they made repeated appeals to authorities for remediation and compensation. After being denied inclusion in a lawsuit filed by white residents, they formed an environmental justice organization to mobilize support for their campaign. Findings reveal the importance of both historical contextualization and the social situation of frame deployers in analyses of the environmental justice frame.

在频率波数域和频率空间域实现了一种基于拟线性Born近似的叠前深度偏移方法，并在2-D空间进行了Marmousi模型炮集数据的处理.通过与Split-StepFourier、Phase-Screen和稳定的Born近似叠前深度偏移等方法比较，认为基于拟线性Born近似的叠前深度偏移方法不仅在效果上要优于前三者，而且还能更好地处理速度横向变化.在散射波场计算中，使用了一个更稳定的散射波场计算公式，扩大了拟线性Born近似的应用范围，使基于拟线性Born近似的叠前深度偏移方法能够适应更强的横向速度变化.     

The source vector and static displacement field by elastic dislocation on the two-phase saturated medium
