Expanded adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller using expert knowledge and fuzzy basis function expansion for UFV depth control

Generally, the underwater flight vehicle (UFV) depth control system operates with the following problems: it is a multi-input multi-output (MIMO) system, it requires robustness, a continuous control input, and further, it has the speed dependency of controller parameters. To solve these problems, an expanded adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller (EAFSMC), which is based on the decomposition method designed by using an expert knowledge and the decoupled sub-controllers and composition method designed by using the fuzzy basis function expansions (FBFEs), is proposed. To verify the performance of the EAFSMC, the depth control of UFV in various operating conditions is performed. Simulation results show that the EAFSMC solves all problems experienced in the UFV depth control system online.     

Thermal expansion and crystal structure of FeSi between 4 and 1173 K determined by time-of-flight neutron powder diffraction

The thermal expansion and crystal structure of FeSi has been determined by neutron powder diffraction between 4 and 1173?K. No evidence was seen of any structural or magnetic transitions at low temperatures. The average volumetric thermal expansion coefficient above room temperature was found to be 4.85(5)?×?10^?5?K^?1. The cell volume was fitted over the complete temperature range using Grüneisen approximations to the zero pressure equation of state, with the internal energy calculated via a Debye model; a Grüneisen second-order approximation gave the following parameters: θ_D=445(11)?K, V ₀=89.596(8)?ų, K ₀′=4.4(4) and γ′=2.33(3), where θ_D is the Debye temperature, V ₀ is V at T=0?K, K ₀′ is the first derivative with respect to pressure of the incompressibility and γ′ is a Grüneisen parameter. The thermodynamic Grüneisen parameter, γ_th, has been calculated from experimental data in the range 4–400?K. The crystal structure was found to be almost invariant with temperature. The thermal vibrations of the Fe atoms are almost isotropic at all temperatures; those of the Si atoms become more anisotropic as the temperature increases.     

利用MODIS产品和DMSP/OLS夜间灯光数据监测城市扩张

选用多时序MODIS数据产品和晚间灯光指数数据,采用CART数据挖掘方法和改进的Niblack 阈值分割技术,对2001-2010 年之间的浙江省城市扩张情况开展了动态监测。结果显示：在多时序数据信息挖掘的基础上,利用区域灯光指数局部阈值,可以有效地分割城镇和非城镇类型,从而提高城镇专题信息提取的精度;从2001 年到2010 年,浙江省城市扩张迅速,年平均扩张速度为297.35 km²/a,平均扩张速度以余杭、萧山和绍兴为中心,以宁波和瑞安为次中心递减;扩张强度最大的是衢县,其次是开化县和海宁市。以杭州为例分析城市扩张的空间特征,其城市空间紧凑度从0.38 上升到了0.48,空间结构趋于紧凑;城市中心向西北方向移动了约3km,揭示着其向西北方向扩展的主要趋势。

内蒙古北山地区阿民乌素蛇绿岩是芨芨台子-小黄山蛇绿岩带的重要组成部分,主要由变质辉长岩和极少强蛇纹石化橄榄岩组成。变质辉长岩LA-ICP-MS锆石U-Pb年龄453±12 Ma,形成于晚奥陶世。强蛇纹石化橄榄岩MgO(36.90%~37.44%)、Ni(1980×10^-6~2232×10^-6)、Cr(2312×10^-6~2506×10^-6)含量高,而Al2O3(0.59%~1.41%)、TiO 2(0.01%~0.02%)和∑REE(0.85×10^-6~3.25×10^-6)含量低,具亏损地幔岩特征;变质辉长岩MgO(7.22.20%~11.66%)相对含量高;Al2O3(15.61%~18.79%)、TiO 2(0.20%~0.29%)、P2O5(0.01%)、K2O+Na2O(1.36%~2.43%)含量低,且K2O相似文献   

Improved Geometric Model of Extensional Fault–bend Folding

Extensional fault–bend folds, also called rollovers, are one of the most common structures in extensional settings. Numerous studies have shown that oblique simple shear is the most appropriate mechanism for quantitative modeling of geometric relations between normal faults and the strata in their hanging walls. However, the oblique simple shear has a rather serious issue derived from the shear direction, particularly above convex bends. We use geometric and experimental methods to study the deformation of extensional fault–bend folds on convex bends. The results indicate that whether the fault bends are concave or convex, the shear direction of the hanging wall dips toward the main fault. On this basis, we improve the previous geometric model by changing the shear direction above the convex bends. To illustrate basin history, our model highlights the importance of the outer limit of folding instead of the growth axial. Moreover, we propose a new expression for the expansion index that is applicable to the condition of no deposition on the footwall. This model is validated by modeling a natural structure of the East China Sea Basin.     

Optical Spectroscopy of Comet C/2000 WM1 (LINEAR) at the Guillermo Harro Astrophysical Observatory in Mexico

We present a preliminary analysis of medium resolution optical spectra of comet C/2000 WM1 (LINEAR) obtained on 22 November 2001. Theemission lines of the molecules C₂, C₃, CN, NH₂,H₂O⁺ and presumably CO (Asundi and triplet bands) and C₂ ^-were identified in these spectra. By analysing the brightnessdistributions of the C₂, C₃, CN emission lines along theslit of the spectrograph we determined some physical parameters of theseneutrals, such as their lifetimes and expansion velocities inthe coma. The Franck–Condon factors for the CO Asundi bands and C₂ ^- bands were calculated using a Morse potential model.     

Polynomial expansions in likelihoods for spatial data: A case study

This paper illustrates the computational benefits of polynomial representations for quantities in the likelihood function for the spatial linear model based on the power covariance scheme. These benefits include a comprehensive study of likelihoods and maximum likelihood estimators for data. For simplicity, we focus on a relatively simple covariance scheme and data observed at equal intervals along a transect; we briefly indicate how generalizations to more complicated covariance functions and higher dimensions will operate.     

Coronal expansion and the transfer of solar angular momentum to the interplanetary space

We discuss the question of loss of angular momentum through coronal expansion. From a large volume of data on Type-1 cometary tails we have confirmed the presence of a tangential component in the coronal expansion, which has not only a stochastic component but also a constant component of 9.8 km/s. Through coronal expansion the Sun has lost 80% of its angular momentum since it evolved on to the main sequence and the angular velocity of the Sun is decreasing exponentially. This result should have a large effect on the dynamical evolution of the Sun.
