通过同化系统将观测资料与海洋数值模式融合得到的海洋再分析产品为海洋科学研究提供了重要的资料基础.本文采用WOA,SODA,AVISO和GLORS四种数据资料与我国自主研发的中国全球海洋预报系统(CGOFS)的气候态结果进行了对比,结果表明:CGOFS和SODA的全球海表面温度与WOA的均方根误差分别为0.51和0.43℃.CGOFS和SODA的海表面盐度与WOA的均方根误差分别为0.48和0.40 PSU;海流方面,CGOFS能较好的刻画主要大洋环流分布及赤道潜流的垂向结构;CGOFS的全球海表面高度异常与AVISO的均方根误差为0.018m;多年月平均海冰外缘线覆盖面积介于SODA和GLORS之间,海冰体积的生消规律与SODA和GLORS一致.总体来看,CGOFS全球高分辨率海洋再分析产品的气候态结果与国际同类产品基本一致,可为提升我国海洋综合科技实力提供可靠的资料保障.  相似文献

利用汕尾市2013—2018年间115个自动气象站逐小时降雨量资料,对汕尾地区短历时强降水时空分布特征以及与年总降水量的关系进行研究。分析表明:(1)2013—2018年汕尾市短历时强降雨的次数大体呈递增趋势,各年发生的次数差异较大;(2)短历时强降雨具有明显的季节变化和日变化特征,最易发生在6月,时段集中在下午至傍晚;(3)短历时强降水主要集中在莲花山脉东南侧的海丰县大部及陆丰市东北部,包括莲花山、公平、梅陇、海城、八万等地区;(4)短历时强降雨发生次数多的年份降水量也大,两者具有很强的相关性。  相似文献

Eight-year observation results of DIC from 1996 to 2003 in the Oyashio region have been analyzed to obtain a climatological view of its seasonal variation and interannual variation. Data of DIC obtained by several institutes are synthesized to give a dataset with an uncertainty lower than 5 μmol/kg. The obtained climatology of NDIC seasonal variation in the Oyashio mixed layer shows a seasonal amplitude of 176 μmol/kg, with a maximum in January and a minimum in September. These features closely resemble those observed in the southern half of the western subarctic North Pacific (WSNP) including Station KNOT, although the timing of the NDIC maximum is slightly advanced in the case of the Oyashio. Analysis using a quasi-conservative tracer Cp0 (NDIC - 106NP) shows that among 176 μmol/kg of NDIC seasonal variation, only 16 μmol/kg is attributed to hydrographic processes while the remaining 160 μmol/kg is attributed to biological processes. The Cp0 value in the Oyashio mixed layer also resembles that of the WSNP mixed layer during the months May to November, suggesting further resemblance of the Oyashio water mass to that of WSNP in terms of carbon dynamics. The present results also suggest that a single data obtained in Oyashio mixed layer contains 30 μmol/kg of potential uncertainty for the representativity of this region, which leads to a note about a need to treat with caution results obtained by a single observation in this region.  相似文献

研究了0515号登陆台风“卡努(Khanun)”对江苏暴雨过程的影响.结果表明,此暴雨过程属主要由台风本身的气旋性涡旋所造成的区域性暴雨,位于台风移向的右前方.通过对物理量场诊断分析发现,暴雨强度的趋势与落区基本上能从水汽通量相对散度上反映出来,水汽通量相对散度越大,暴雨越强;暴雨区位于垂直上升运动区.  相似文献

利用1964 2015年气象观测资料对河北廊坊冰雹天气的时空分布特征进行分析,并利用MICAPS资料、北京探空资料及多普勒雷达资料研究了廊坊冰雹日的天气形势、物理量特性及雷达回波特征。结果表明:廊坊冰雹日数整体呈下降趋势,20世纪80年代末至90年代初降雹达到高峰期。冰雹天气主要发生在15 19时,多持续1~5 min。廊坊冰雹有明显的地域特征,西北部较多。降雹日500 h Pa环流形势有4类,并对应3种地面形势。对预报冰雹天气有指导意义的物理量参数阈值为:冰雹开始前对流层中下层存在逆温层或等温层;对流参数SI指数或LI指数0,中低层假相当位温随高度减小;0℃层高度多为3050~4702 gpm,-20℃层高度多为5996~8332 gpm,850 h Pa与500 h Pa温差为27~32℃,低层有大的垂直风切变,近地面925 h Pa垂直风切变为5.5~15.0 m·s-1·km-1。此外,廊坊冰雹云回波有块状单体和飑线两种结构,回波中心强度普遍大于60 d Bz,垂直结构上均有悬垂回波,速度场为逆风区或旋转速度12 m·s-1的弱切变,VIL普遍大于35 kg·m-2,ET普遍大于11 km。  相似文献

Hourly rainfall measurements of 1919 national-level meteorological stations from 1981 through 2012 are used to document,for the first time,the climatology of extreme rainfall in hourly through 24-h accumulation periods in China. Rainfall amounts for 3-,6-,12- and 24-h periods at each station are constructed through running accumulation from hourly rainfall data that have been screened by proper quality control procedures. For each station and for each accumulation period,the historical maximum is found,and the corresponding 50-year return values are estimated using generalized extreme value theory. Based on the percentiles of the two types of extreme rainfall values among all the stations,standard thresholds separating Grade I,Grade II and Grade III extreme rainfall are established,which roughly correspond to the 70th and 90th percentiles for each of the accumulation periods. The spatial characteristics of the two types of extreme rainfall are then examined for different accumulation periods. The spatial distributions of extreme rainfall in hourly through 6-h periods are more similar than those of 12- and 24-h periods. Grade III rainfall is mostly found over South China,the western Sichuan Basin,along the southern and eastern coastlines,and in the large river basins and plains. There are similar numbers of stations with Grade III extreme hourly rainfall north and south of 30°N,but the percentage increases to about 70% south of 30°N as the accumulation period increases to 24 hours,reflecting richer moisture and more prolonged rain events in southern China. Potential applications of the extreme rainfall climatology and classification standards are suggested at the end.  相似文献

Stochastic weather generators have evolved as tools for creating long time series of synthetic meteorological data at a site for risk assessments in hydrologic and agricultural applications. Recently, their use has been extended as downscaling tools for climate change impact assessments. Non‐parametric weather generators, which typically use a K‐nearest neighbour (K‐NN) resampling approach, require no statistical assumptions about probability distributions of variables and can be easily applied for multi‐site use. Two characteristics of traditional K‐NN models result from resampling daily values: (1) temporal correlation structure of daily temperatures may be lost, and (2) no values less than or exceeding historical observations can be simulated. Temporal correlation in simulated temperature data is important for hydrologic applications. Temperature is a major driver of many processes within the hydrologic cycle (for example, evaporation, snow melt, etc.) that may affect flood levels. As such, a new methodology for simulation of climate data using the K‐NN approach is presented (named KnnCAD Version 4). A block resampling scheme is introduced along with perturbation of the reshuffled daily temperature data to create 675 years of synthetic historical daily temperatures for the Upper Thames River basin in Ontario, Canada. The updated KnnCAD model is shown to adequately reproduce observed monthly temperature characteristics as well as temporal and spatial correlations while simulating reasonable values which can exceed the range of observations. A simple stochastic model is presented to describe the influence of the natural flow regime of the Madre de Dios River (southeastern Peru) on the presence and downstream transportation of catfish larvae (Siluriformes: Pimelodidae), an important migratory species in commercial fisheries in the Peruvian Amazon region. One year of daily river stage records were related to weekly larval catches to determine the association between floods and spawning events, and based on the hydro‐climatologic characteristics of Andean‐Amazon regions, available long‐term historical rainfall records were used to determine the inter‐annual variability of floods within the Madre de Dios Basin. Major larval drift occurred during the high water season, specifically in association with stages of over 5 m, which served as an indicator triggering spawning responses of these species, termed a ‘biologically significant event’ (BSE). Timing of these BSEs, estimated from the historical rainfall records, described a uniform distribution during the wet season, and their inter‐arrival times were exponentially distributed. These observations provided the basis of the stochastic model describing the likelihood of larvae releases from this headwater region to the lowland Amazon. Abstract

Temperature patterns of a small lake in the Canadian Shield are examined by means of thermal imagery. The effect of the different surface temperatures on the daytime energy balance is examined for two points over the lake at the time the thermal imagery was taken. For 14 June 1979, two distinct energy balance regimes are noted. At the lake centre, where the deeper water registers a relatively cool thermal signature, a boundary‐layer inversion is observed. The downward sensible heat flux augments the net radiation, and the latent heat flux is 105% of the radiant input. Along the lake margins, the shallows register warm thermal signatures and a lapse profile is observed. The sensible heat flux is an energy sink and the latent heat flux is diminished to 88% of the net radiation. This difference indicates that a single point estimate may introduce a bias if it is assumed to be representative of the lake average for the purposes of studying lake evaporation.

The calculation of the latent heat flux and evaporation is very sensitive to the value of the surface temperature. When the spatial patterns of surface temperature are considered in an estimate of the lake evaporation, the spatially integrated value differs by —6% from the estimate based upon a single point observation at the lake centre for a mid‐day in June and by +10% from the estimate based upon observations collected over the warm shallows.  相似文献

Short-duration heavy rainfall(SDHR) is a type of severe convective weather that often leads to substantial losses of property and life. We derive the spatiotemporal distribution and diurnal variation of SDHR over China during the warm season(April–September) from quality-controlled hourly raingauge data taken at 876 stations for 19 yr(1991–2009), in comparison with the diurnal features of the mesoscale convective systems(MCSs) derived from satellite data. The results are as follows. 1) Spatial distributions of the frequency of SDHR events with hourly rainfall greater than 10–40 mm are very similar to the distribution of heavy rainfall(daily rainfall 50 mm) over mainland China. 2) SDHR occurs most frequently in South China such as southern Yunnan, Guizhou, and Jiangxi provinces, the Sichuan basin, and the lower reaches of the Yangtze River, among others. Some SDHR events with hourly rainfall 50 mm also occur in northern China, e.g., the western Xinjiang and central-eastern Inner Mongolia. The heaviest hourly rainfall is observed over the Hainan Island with the amount reaching over 180 mm. 3) The frequency of the SDHR events is the highest in July, followed by August. Analysis of pentad variations in SDHR reveals that SDHR events are intermittent, with the fourth pentad of July the most active. The frequency of SDHR over mainland China increases slowly with the advent of the East Asian summer monsoon, but decreases rapidly with its withdrawal. 4) The diurnal peak of the SDHR activity occurs in the later afternoon(1600–1700 Beijing Time(BT)), and the secondary peak occurs after midnight(0100–0200 BT) and in the early morning(0700–0800 BT); whereas the diurnal minimum occurs around late morning till noon(1000–1300 BT). 5) The diurnal variation of SDHR exhibits generally consistent features with that of the MCSs in China, but the active periods and propagation of SDHR and MCSs difer in diferent regions. The number and duration of local maxima in the diurnal cycles of SDHR and MCSs also vary by region, with single, double, and even multiple peaks in some cases. These variations may be associated with the diferences in large-scale atmospheric circulation, surface conditions, and land-sea distribution.  相似文献
