Beyond the numbers: Understanding the value of vegetation to rural livelihoods in Africa

Different types of vegetation found in local environments are of value to rural livelihoods of many African households. However, the dominant way of expressing this value, which is mainly through economic valuation studies, is potentially limiting this knowledge’s usefulness in policy and research, due to the inability to present full picture. Using literature review and insights from field work, the paper argues that realized and notional values of vegetation to rural livelihoods are socially constructed and contested, and - in addition to understanding local livelihood context, which include social difference, and ecological dynamics - a focus on social institutions as terrains of negotiation is crucial. This means that resource value in rural livelihoods can be realized through contested and negotiated access arrangements that are mediated by complex institutions at local and external levels.

Base on the groundwater yield, water temperature and hydrochemistry change of the groundwater, we can analyze that the summer water content is obviously greater than winter water content where the in and-out wall rock of the Daban Mountain tunnel. The groundwater supply has the extensity and the seasonality. The groundwater content of the middle tunnel wall rock changes relatively steady, mainly supply through horizontal direction. And the total groundwater content is relatively little and steady in winter. The water pressure of the wall rock cranny is little. It has the fluent drainage system to dredge groundwater, which cannot constitute a threat to the tunnel lining. And the cold-proof sluice hole can normally work to drain water.

Representing and communicating deep uncertainty in climate-change assessments

IPCC reports provide a synthesis of the state of the science in order to inform the international policy process. This task is made difficult by the presence of deep uncertainty in the climate problem that results from long time scales and complexity. This paper focuses on how deep uncertainty can be effectively communicated. We argue that existing schemes do an inadequate job of communicating deep uncertainty and propose a simple approach that distinguishes between various levels of subjective understanding in a systematic manner. 河北省崇礼县水晶屯金矿床成因矿物学标志在找矿评价中的应用

本文首次应用自然金、黄铁矿、石英、钾长石等矿物的成因矿物学标志，对水晶屯金矿床的含金性、矿体的剥蚀程度和延伸范围进行了初步的定量评价，为今后在矿床深部及外围的找矿工作提供了一种简便有效的成矿预测方法。     

北京地区细菌性痢疾医疗气象预报模式及流行风险水平评估

研究了北京市海淀区2004～2006年全年逐日细菌性痢疾发病率与地面气象要素的相关关系.结果发现,细菌性痢疾发病与水汽压(空气绝对湿度)高度相关,单相关系数平均可达0.85以上.在所有候选预报因子中,它的方差贡献可占80%.采用多元回归概率分级技术,建立了细菌性痢疾医疗气象预报及风险水平评估模式.该模式预报结果可为各级疾病预防控制中心指导广大城乡居民卫生防疫提供科学依据.     

意愿价值法评估生态服务价值的有效性与可靠性及实例设计研究

意愿价值评估法(CVM)以新古典经济学需求理论为基础,通过构造假想市场使生态服务价值的评估成为可能.但是,经验研究中出现了与新古典经济理论及其预期不一致的异常现象,致使CVM的有效性与可靠性受到广泛质疑,而成为目前国际CVM研究的主要方向.对国际、国内CVM有效性与可靠性的研究进展进行了综述,重点梳理了国际上对WTP的内容依赖性、WTP与WTA的显著差异及可靠性与效益转移等方面的经验研究;而国内由于缺乏该方面的系统研究,制约了CVM在我国生态价值评估及环境公共政策制定中的应用.为此,在前期开展的实例研究基础上,设计了适合我国社会经济特征和生态环境特点的CVM有效性与可靠性研究的技术路线和多重调查方案,以期推动CVM在我国的进一步发展与应用.     

关于意愿调查价值评估法在我国环境领域应用的可行性探讨——以北京市居民支付意愿研究为例

从意愿调查价值评估法的优越性和局限性出发，以在北京市进行的关于市民为改善大气环境质量的支付意愿的调查研究为例，详细分析了调查方法和结果。通过对结果的评价，探讨了意愿调查价值评估法在我国进行环境物品价值评估实践中的可行性，得出了这一方法在我国具有推广前景的结论。最后对意愿调查价值评估法今后在我国实践中的应用提出了几点建议。     

利用信任评估进行匿名认证路由协议

根据动态统计节点的行为,引入一种信任评估系统,使节点及时地发现网络中的恶意行为,保证在路由建立过程中各节点不承担过重的安全任务,降低路由协议的复杂度。在路由建立前,完成通信节点与CA的匿名双向认证,有效防止中间人的攻击。提出在路由表中存储节点匿名身份的哈希路由登记表,保证网络匿名安全性的同时,避免重复发起路由,提高路由查找的效率。基于Diffie-Hellman密钥交换算法,完成会话密钥协商。本协议结合对称密码体制和公钥密码体制,结构简单、有效。
