Introduction A M=8 earthquake occurred in the intracontinental Linfen basin on September 17, 1303. This is the Hongtong M=8 earthquake in Shanxi Province. It is the first recorded M = 8 earthquake since the Chinese historical seismic records had started. The earthquake killed 200 000 people (LI, 1960; XIE, CAI, 1983). Introduction The Lulong county is about 75 km northeast to Tangshan in Hebei Province. An earthquake of ML=6.2 took place on October 19, 1982 about 4 km northeast to the county town. A three-component geomagnetic survey was carried out during the period from 2002 to 2004 in China including Jiujiang-Ruichang region. Comparing the "2005.0 surface spline model of China geomagnetic field" created on the basis of the survey data with the "1970.0 surface spline model of China geomagnetic field", we can see an obvious abnormity in the geomagnetic horizontal component within a range of about 100 km around the epicenter of the Ms=5.7 Jiujiang-Ruichang earthquake occurred on November 26, 2005. After the earthquake, we carded out a repeated geomagnetic survey at 21 stations in the Jiujiang-Ruichang region and created a corresponding "2005.0 partially revised surface spline model of China geomagnetic field". By comparing the above three models, analyzing the geomagnetic horizontal component at the profile in the Jiujiang-Ruichang region and quantitatively studying the geomagnetic data of every stations around the Ms=5.7 earthquake, we have obtained the geomagnetic abnormity associated with this earthquake. Then the geomagnetic abnormity and its relation with seismic activity are discussed in this paper.  相似文献

Photometric observations of the Ap star HD 193722 give unambiguous proofs for a rotational period of P=8.5297 days in contradiction to the earlier found value of P=1.13316 days. Spectroscopic measurements yield a line width equivalent to the value v sin i=44.5 km/s. Both findings show convincingly that HD 193722 is an evolved Ap star with a position in the giant region of the HR diagram. This place falls into a domain occupied by the hypothetic Maia sequence.  相似文献

The method of identifying absorption line systems in QSO spectra (Cui et al. 1983; Chen et al. 1983) is further developed here. Certain limitations of the method and their improvements are discussed. Certain other problems requiring further study are pointed out. The improved method is applied to PKS 0528-250, and gives two new absorption line systems Za = 0.065 and 0.0345 in addition to the four systems Za = 2.8110, 2.8130, 2.5275, 2.1410, consistent with the systems A1A2, B, C of Norton et al. (1980). However, the systems D1, D2, E, F and G of Chen and Norton (1984) are not recovered. The reason for this discrepancy is discussed.  相似文献

报道了 N I N O 晶体在 T= 1.5 K 温度和 101 G Hz 频率下的电子自旋共振( E S R)实验。建立了d8 离子基态3 A2 ( F)自旋哈密顿参量 D、 E 和g 因子与斜方对称晶场势参量间的关系,并对 N I N O 晶体进行了计算。所得结果与实验一致,表明所给关系式是合理的。  相似文献

A search for the neutrinoless double-beta decay of 124Sn was carried out using the tin-loaded liquid scintillator for an active source-detector technique. Tin (32.6%) in weight was successfully loaded into the liquid scintillator, and light output was as high as 57% of the unloaded liquid scintillator. A tin-loaded liquid scintillator with 1.1  volume was installed at the 700 m underground laboratory in YangYang, and data were taken for 5285 h. No evidence for the 0νββ decay was found and a lower limit on the 124Sn half-life was obtained to be 2.0×1019 year with 90% C.L. The new limit represents a significant improvement with respect to those previously available for 124Sn.  相似文献

We present the results of observation of the Geminga pulsar carried out in the TeV energy band during the 6 year period spanning 2000–2006 using the Pachmarhi Array of Cherenkov Telescopes (PACT). A long stretch of data, new computer codes and the “Tempo” package have been used in the present analysis. We have searched for evidence of pulsed emission of γ-rays from the Geminga pulsar using the post-glitch pulsar elements obtained by Jackson and Halpern from X-ray/γ-ray satellite data. We do not see any significant evidence for pulsed emission from the Geminga pulsar at a threshold energy of 825 GeV. In this paper we present our results on the light curve in the TeV energy band, set an upper limit on the time averaged flux of γ-rays, and compare our results with other ground based observations.  相似文献
