依据二维磁流体力学方程组 ,在子午面内分别数值模拟了与动量扰动和温度扰动相关的日冕物质抛射事件 (CME) ,并将二者结果进行对比 .结果认为 :二者在事件的空间结构 ,前沿激波的演化 ,暗腔的形成及作用 ,扰动后近日面新喷发物质的特征等方面是相似的 ;但在前沿激波的传播速度 ,强度和径向演化进程 ,暗腔的行为和磁感应强度以及后随等离子体团的密度等方面却不相同 .  相似文献

In this paper we present observations of two types of solar mass ejections, which seem to be associated with the location of coronal, holes. In the first type, a filament eruption was observed near a coronal hole, which gave rise to a strong interplanetary scintillations. as detected by IPS observations. In the second type, several large scale soft X-ray blow-outs were observed in the YOHKOH SXT X-ray movies, in all the cases they erupted from or near the boundary of coronal holes and over the magnetic neutral line. It is proposed that the open magnetic field configuration of the coronal hole provides, the necessary field structure for reconnection to take place, which in turn is responsible for filament eruption, from relatively lower heights. While, in the case of X-ray blow-outs, the reconnection takes place at a greater height, resulting in high temperature soft X-ray emission visible as X-ray blow-outs.  相似文献

Abstract

We study the nonlinear stability of MHD waves propagating in a two-dimensional, compressible, highly magnetized, viscous plasma. These waves are driven by a weak, shear body force which could be imposed by large scale internal fluctuations present in the solar atmosphere.

The effects of anisotropic viscosity (leading to a cubic damping) and of the nonlinear coupling of the Alfven and the magnetoacoustic waves are analysed using Galerkin and multiple-scale analysis: the MHD equations are reduced to a set of nonlinear ordinary differential equations which is then suitably truncated to give a model dynamical system, representing the interaction of two complex Galerkin modes.

For propagation oblique to the background magnetic field, analytical integration shows that the low-wavenumber mode is physically unstable. For propagation parallel to the background magnetic field the high-wavenumber wave can undergo saddlenode bifurcations, in way that is similar to the van der Pol oscillator; these bifurcations lead to the appearance of a hysteresis cycle.

A numerical integration of the dynamical system shows that a sequence of Hopf bifurcations takes place as the Reynolds number is increased, up to the onset of nonperiodic behaviour. It also shows that energy can be transferred from the low- wavenumber to the high-wavenumber mode.  相似文献

Abstract

Some new measurements are presented of the axisymmetric heat transport in a differentially heated rotating fluid annulus. Both rigid and free upper surface cases are studied, for Prandtl numbers of 7 and 45, from low to high rotation rates. The rigid lid case is extended to high rotation rates by suppressing the baroclinic waves, that would normally develop at some intermediate rotation rate, with the use of sloping endwalls.

A parameter P is defined as the square of the ratio of the (non-rotating) thermal sidewall layer thickness to the Ekman layer thickness. For small P the heat transport remains unaffected by the rotation, but as P increases to order unity the Ekman layer becomes thin enough to inhibit the radial mass transport, and hence the heat flux. No explicit Prandtl number dependence is observed. Also this scaling allows the identification of the region in which the azimuthal velocity reaches its maximum. Direct comparisons are drawn with previous experimental and numerical results, which show what can be interpreted as an inhibiting effect of increasing curvature on the heat transport.  相似文献

Initial studies of the Sun's corona using a solar radar were done in the 1960s and provided measurements of the Sun's radar cross-section at about 38 MHz. These initial measurements were done at a time when the large-scale phenomenon known as a coronal mass ejection was unknown; however, these data suggest that coronal mass ejections (CMEs) may have been detected but were unrecognized. That solar radar facility, which was located at El Campo, TX, no longer exists. New solar radar investigations are motivated by our modern understanding of CMEs and their effects on the Earth. A radar echo from an Earthward-directed coronal mass ejection may be expected to have a frequency shift proportional to velocity; thus providing a good estimate of arrival time at Earth and the possible occurrence of geomagnetic storms. Solar radar measurements may also provide new information on electron densities in the corona. The frequencies of interest for solar radars fall in the range of about 10–100 MHz, corresponding to the lower range planned for the low-frequency array. In combination with existing or new high-power transmitters, it is possible to use the low-frequency array to re-initiate radar studies of the Sun's corona. In this report, we review the basic requirements of solar radars, as developed in past studies and as proposed for future investigations.  相似文献

观测研究表明有利于磁重联的新浮磁流与日冕物质抛射(CME)有密切关系.利用数值模拟的方法,新浮磁流触发CME的物理模型对观测结果进行了物理解释.基于这种模型,不考虑重力和热传导, 2.5维的数值模拟的理论结果显示:是否能够触发暗条爆发及CME,取决于新浮磁流磁通量的大小、浮现的位置以及其磁极走向,并给出了能够触发暗条爆发与不能触发爆发的参数空间.利用2002年和2003年的15个暗条爆发事例以及2002年的44个非爆发事例,对新浮磁流磁通量的大小、浮现的位置以及磁极走向进行了统计研究.结果表明并非所有的新浮磁流都能够使暗条失去平衡,形成CME.统计结果基本上支持了数值模拟的理论结果.这个结果可为空间天气预报研究提供有用的参考信息.  相似文献

We have investigated properties such as speed, angular width, location, acceleration and occurrence rate of narrow CMEs (defined as having angular width ≤20°) observed during 1996–2007 by SOHO/LASCO. The results obtained are compared with those of normal CMEs (angular width >20°) from the same time interval to find whether there are any real differences between the two populations. Our study of 3464 narrow CMEs from the online SOHO/LASCO, CME catalogue leads us to conclude that (1) the fraction of narrow CMEs during solar minimum is 38% and during solar maximum 19%, (2) during solar maximum narrow CMEs are generally faster than normal CMEs, (3) the maximum speed of narrow CMEs is much smaller than that of the normal CMEs, (4) during solar maximum narrow CMEs appear at all latitudes similar to normal CMEs, (5) narrow and normal CMEs have unequal deceleration and (6) the occurrence rate of narrow CMEs remain constant after 1998 until the beginning of 2006 while the normal CMEs occurrence rate seems to follow solar cycle variation until 2004. Thus narrow CMEs and normal CMEs have some differences, in disagreement with previous studies.  相似文献

Statistical analysis of the relationship between type II radio bursts appearing in the metric (m) and decameter-to-hectometer (DH) wavelength ranges is presented. The associated X-ray flares and coronal mass ejections (CMEs) are also reported. The sample is divided into two classes using the frequency-drift plots: Class I, representing those events where DH-type-II bursts are not continuation of m-type-II bursts and Class II, where the DH-type-II bursts are extensions of m-type-II bursts. Our study consists of three steps: i) comparison of characteristics of the Class I and II events; ii) correlation of m-type-II and DH-type-II burst characteristics with X-ray flare properties and iii) correlation of m-type-II and DH-type-II burst characteristics with CME properties. We have found no clear correlation between properties of m-type-II bursts and DH-type-II bursts. For example, there is no correlation between drift rates of m-type-II bursts and DH-type-II bursts. Similarly there is no correlation between their starting frequencies. In Class I events we found correlations between X-ray flare characteristics and properties of m-type-II bursts and there is no correlation between flare parameters and DH-type-II bursts. On the other hand, the correlation between CME parameters and m-type-II bursts is very weak, but it is good for CME parameters and DH-type-II bursts. These results indicate that Class I m-type-II bursts are related to the energy releases in flares, whereas DH-type-II bursts tend to be related to CMEs. On the contrary, for Class II events in the case of m-type-II and DH-type-II bursts we have found no clear correlation between both flare and CMEs.  相似文献

本文分析了1993年10月2日07:39:40-07:41:00UT时段太阳产生的一个多脉冲微波暴的观测,认为它是由多个脉冲爆发叠加在一个慢变爆发背景上组成的.根据谱分析和利用我们的日冕磁场诊断公式[1],第一次获得了一个爆发源区的磁场强度和高能电子的信息,其主要结果是:(1)脉冲爆发分量在光薄部分的射电谱指数的平均值比慢变爆发背景的值小1,即前者的谱比后者的硬.在19.6GHz上的亮度温度前者比后者高6倍.(2)从脉冲爆发分量和慢变爆发背景分量推断的源区磁场平均值分别为158和531高斯,且发现在爆发期间,慢变暴源区磁场强度随时间圣马鞍形变化,在极大相的值比脉冲相和下降相低约50%(3)产生脉冲暴分量的高能电子的柱密度NL和数密度N(>E0)分别为慢变暴分量的4%和8%,但它们所携带的能流和发射系数要比慢变爆发分量的值高1倍和8倍!表明这两种爆发成份可能分别来自能谱不同的两群电子在不同爆发源区的辐射.  相似文献
