论现代历史地理学的时间特性

历史地理学的发展经历了漫长的时间历程,现代历史地理学的研究具有动态的,整个人类发展过程有以及“过去”、“现在”和“未来”统一的历史时间观念。现代历史地理学的时间系统包括精确时间与模糊时间,动态时间和静态时间,自然时间与社会的时间等。     

区域调水规模的指标体系与PRED综合论证

初步提出了在论证区域调水规模的指标体系及基于人口（Ｐ）、资源（Ｒ）、环境（Ｅ）与发展（Ｄ）的ＰＲＥＤ综合论证的思路。以北京市水资源开发利用为案例,由传统的供需分析和以人为中心的ＰＲＥＤ综合协调分析分别对北京市的用水及趋势作了论证,二相互印证,分析结果较为可靠。通过分析得到,北京市水资源可维持现状下的开发利用。     

Scale Dependencies of Vegetation and Topography in a Mountainous Environment of Montana

This research examines the effects of spatial scale on estimating the relationship between vegetation biomass and topography within a portion of Glacier National Park, Montana. The Reflectance/Absorptance vegetation index, developed from processed Landsat Thematic Mapper digital data, is related to three topographic variables obtained through processed Digital Elevation Models: elevation, slope angle, and slope aspect. R² values between the vegetation index and the topographic variables are obtained from regression analyses at a series of aggregated spatial scales. The effective range of spatial scales within which the two sets of variables are spatially dependent and the degree of the spatial dependencies are characterized through semivariance and fractal analyses.     

Sub-regional snow cover distribution across the southern Appalachian Mountains

Abstract

Snowfall in the Southern Appalachian Mountain region of the eastern US is characterized by much spatiotemporal variability. Annual snowfall totals vary by up to 75 cm, and variations in snowfall intensity can lead to large differences in the local snowfall distribution. Research has shown that the synoptic pattern associated with the snowfall strongly influences the regional-scale distribution of snow cover. However, topographic variability results in locally complex snow cover patterns that are not well understood or documented. In this study, we characterize the snow covered area (SCA) and fractional snow cover associated with different synoptic patterns in 14 individual sub-regions. We analyze 63 snow events using Moderate-resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer standard snow cover products to ascertain both qualitative and quantitative differences in snow cover across sub-regions. Among sub-regions, there is significant variation in the snow cover pattern from individual synoptic classes. Furthermore, the percent SCA follows the regional snowfall climatology, and sub-regions with the highest elevations and northerly latitudes exhibit the greatest variability. Results of the sub-regional analysis provide valuable guidance to forecasters by contributing a deeper understanding of local snow cover patterns and their relationship to synoptic-scale circulation features.     

The Effects of Spatial Scale and Aggregation on Food Access Assessment: A Case Study of Tucson,Arizona

Adequate access to healthy food has become a social issue due to the recent Great Recession and heightened levels of unemployment. Geographers have focused their attention on how to accurately evaluate food access and how to identify and delineate food deserts; that is, low-income neighborhoods where affordable and healthy food is lacking or limited. Findings of recent food access studies are, however, dramatically inconsistent. We argue that spatial scale and the level of aggregation used in constructing food access measures could account for a major portion of the varying results. We draw on an empirical study in the Tucson, Arizona, metropolitan area, to examine how varying geographic scales and aggregation methods affect food access assessment. We also provide an analysis to show how spatial scale and aggregation practices lead to inconsistent conclusions about food access and designation of food deserts.     

Inserting scales of urban politics: the possibilities of meso-urban governance shims

This article explores the geographic literature on governance at smaller-than-urban but larger-than-household scales, identifying a relative inattention to neighborhood and other partial-city scales of governance. Hegemonic power relationships are institutionalized at particular scales of state government (e.g. national, regional, municipal) and state-sanctioned governing units (e.g. jurisdictional districts or supranational bodies), which in turn shapes urban research. We propose a new analytical term, governance shims, to describe the insertion of new scales of governance between those already reified and reproduced; institutions at such scales may be unusually grounded in authority beyond the state. Geographers seem well positioned to explore the characteristics of governance shims at the meso-urban scale. We illustrate this by briefly tracing how common interest communities (CICs), housing cooperatives, and community land trusts (CLTs) might be analyzed through a shims approach. Provocatively, emergent governance at the meso-urban scale often leverages idiosyncratic structures of property ownership to produce institutional authority.     

基于灰色关联分析和遥感信息模型的新疆典型农区非耕地系数研究

非耕地系数反映了人类活动对耕地的影响状况。以2008年QuickBird数据为主要数据源,以伊宁县农耕区为研究区,采用灰色关联分析法研究与非耕地系数有关的因素,并利用相似性准则、量纲分析及多元回归方法建立遥感信息模型,构建单位面积内非耕地数量与其相关因素之间的数学关系。研究结果表明,在地形、土壤类型一定时,影响非耕地系数的主要因素有农区土地利用的斑块破碎度、水网密度、土地的垦殖指数等。遥感信息模型表明斑块破碎度、水网密度、人均生产率、农业人口密度与单位面积内非耕地数量呈正比,且它们对单位面积内非耕地数量的影响由强到弱依次是水网密度、农业人口密度、土地利用的斑块破碎度。耕地生产率、人均耕地与单位面积内非耕地数量呈反比。该模型反映人类活动对农区耕地的干扰状况,对土地利用和整理具有一定的指导意义。     

流域水文模型对土壤数据响应的多尺度分析

流域水文模拟对输入数据空间详细程度的要求受流域面积大小的影响,而流域面积影响作用的定量描述有助于模拟时的数据选取.本文以美国Brewery Creek流域(约19.5 k㎡)为例,在逐级连续的汇流面积上,分析了SWAT模型基于1:2.4万的SSURGO和10m分辨率的SoLIM土壤数据模拟的径流量的差别随汇流面积的变化...
