Ca2+、Mg2+对凡纳滨对虾仔虾生存的影响

采用静态急性毒性试验的方法,研究了48h内水质中不同的Ca2 、Mg2 浓度及Ca2 /Mg2 值对凡纳滨对虾(Litopenaeus vannamei)仔虾存活的影响。结果表明,适宜凡纳滨对虾仔虾生存的Ca2 、Mg2 质量浓度分别为30.41～351mg/L和8.72～863mg/L;最适Ca2 /Mg2 值范围为0.15～0.67。

生物质炭对苦草(Vallisneria spiralis)种子萌发与生长的影响

为了探究生物质炭作为生长基质对水生植物种子萌发和生长的影响,选用典型沉水植物苦草(Vallisneria spiralis)作为受试植物,测定不同氮、磷营养盐浓度和不同粒径的生物质炭作用下对苦草种子萌发率、幼苗形态与生物量,同时分析水体中硝态氮、亚硝态氮、氨氮和正磷酸盐磷浓度变化过程.结果表明:生物质炭存在使水体中亚硝态氮浓度低于检测限,使水体正磷酸盐磷浓度上升至1.28~2.43 mg/L,为最高添加磷浓度的3.2~6.1倍,从而改变了苦草生长环境.小粒径生物质炭(0.25~0.5 mm)组中水体最终氨氮浓度(0.05 mg/L)远远低于大粒径生物质炭(1~2 mm)组中水体最终氨氮浓度(0.39~0.85 mg/L),即生物质炭粒径大小会影响水体最终营养盐浓度和氮素赋存形态.与大粒径生物质炭组和石英砂对照相比,小粒径组苦草种子萌发率明显升高,可达80%以上,并促进苦草幼苗生长.因此,小粒径生物质炭能提高苦草种子萌发和幼苗生长,在大型水生植物恢复工程中具有一定的应用前景.     

壳聚糖对种子萌发及幼苗生长的影响

用不同相对分子质量、不同质量分数和不同复配组合的壳聚糖处理不同的种子 ,研究了不同处理方法对种子萌发及幼苗生长的影响。结果表明 :通过这些处理 ,不但能不同程度地提高种子的发芽率 ,而且还能使幼苗健壮 ;用中相对分子质量 (Mr≈ 60× 1 0 3)、质量分数为 0 .5%的壳聚糖加谷氨酸处理种子 ,效果最好 ,尤其对大颗粒种子如玉米、豇豆和大豆。     

盐度对大叶藻种子萌发和幼苗发育的影响

大叶藻海草场是重要生境但在我国严重退化,亟需研究有效的修复方法。本文以桑沟湾的大叶藻种子为研究对象,探讨了盐度急变(0~30)对种子萌发、萌发后继续发育和存活及幼苗幼叶的光合与呼吸速率的影响,为以种子繁殖修复大叶藻海草场提供参考。结果表明:盐度降低促进种子萌发,盐度15及以下效果显著,盐度0时萌发率最高;盐度0~15中萌发的种子均可发育成幼苗,发育和衰亡的比例和速率受萌发盐度背景和萌发后培养盐度的双重影响——较高萌发盐度有利于种子萌发后的发育和存活,种子萌发后于盐度5~30中均可建成幼苗并存活、但在盐度0或1中发育至不同程度后全部死亡。盐度5~30范围内,幼苗幼叶均有净产氧,光合和呼吸作用及净产氧率具随盐度升高而增强趋势。于盐度0或5中萌发、盐度5~30中进一步培育的变盐育苗策略,最高实现了24%或12%的种子于2个月内建成幼苗并继续发育,可作为种子繁殖法修复大叶藻海草场的技术参考。     

Relationships of growth and mortality to enzymatic activity,and the relative mRNA expression of cultured scallops Patinopecten yessoensis in the Yellow Sea,China

The bottom aquaculture of yesso scallop (Patinopecten yessoensis) has developed rapidly in the north of Yellow Sea, China, but not without accompanying productivity problems. We, therefore, conducted field surveys to investigate factors related to growth and mortality rates of bottom-cultured scallops after release. Specifically, we focused on the effects of total antioxidant capacity (TAOC) and three key enzymes involved in antioxidant and metabolic function:glutamic pyruvic transaminase (GPT), lactic dehydrogenase (LDH), and superoxide dismutase (SOD). Across summer and winter, we also measured the relative mRNA expression of GPT and SOD to understand their seasonal variation in the scallops, along with how such variation correlated to growth and mortality. Results show that bottom cultured scallops experienced mass mortality during the first six months post-release. During winter (December), scallops grew more rapidly and suffered less mortality than in summer (August). The observed lower performance probably resulted from less advantageous environmental factors during the summer seasons, such as high temperature and low dissolved oxygen. These environmental stressors enhance protein consumption while decreasing energetic resources in scallops. Furthermore, scallops in summer exhibited high antioxidant levels that probably competed for energy with process integral to growth and survival. These negative factors combined to elevate mortality rates. In conclusion, we provided evidence suggesting correlations between metabolic/antioxidant activity and growth and mortality of bottom-cultured yesso scallops. These correlations implied us an accurate method to estimate the performance of bottom culture system. Suggestions about innovative aquaculture techniques were also discussed in the study. Our results might provide a possible guideline to the improvement of bottom culture techniques for this commercially valuable seafood species.     

Burial tolerances of reef-building Sabellariid worms from the east coast of Florida

Sabellariid worms, such as Phragmatopoma lapidosa, are sessile suspension feeders that attach to exposed hard bottom and serve as foundation species for worm reefs which are complex, multifaceted habitats. While worm reefs are adapted to dynamic sedimentary environments, burial of these habitats by beach nourishment projects is a concern. This study determined duration and depth of burial that can be tolerated by P. lapidosa without death. Worm rock samples were buried in sand at 1–10 cm (1-cm intervals), and at 15, 25 and 40 cm for the duration of 72, 144, and 216 h and then surveyed for initial mortality after burial and one week after removal of sediment (latent effects). Initial mortality was similar across all burial depths for the 72-h duration with values ranging from 8.3% (±0.8 SE) for 1 cm to 24.0% (±8.0 SE) for 10 cm of sediment. As burial duration increased to 144 h, mortality generally increased as burial depth increased with an average mortality for 2 cm of sediment of 23.5% (±5.3 SE) increasing to 96.0% (±14.3 SE) with 40 cm of sediment. The mean percent mortality for burial samples in the 216 h treatment varied from a low of 71.2% (±3.3 SE) for 1 cm depth to a high of 100% (±0 SE) for 10, 15, 25, and 40 cm depths. Mortality for most treatments also increased over time after removal of sediment indicating latent effects of burial stress.
