THE IMPACT OF HUMAN ACTIVITIES ON GROUNDWATER RESOURCES IN THE SOUTH EDGE OF TARIM BASIN，XINJIANG

In the modern times ,the population growth,development of industrial and agricultural production and the petroleum exploitation,brought about the unceasing expansion of artificial oasis and abrupt increase of water demand .The artificial hydraulic irrigation engineering took the place of the natural river systerm,the reservoirs took the placeof natural lakds,which in turn enhanced the space-time redistribution of surface water based on the natural evolution,and so did groundwater.The groundwater recharge reduced 26.2% in 46 years from 1950 to 1995 in the southern piedmont fold plain of Tarim Basin due to mean yearly population increase rate of 27.7‰ and associated with the water use rate increasing from 24.6% to 58.4%.At the same time the artificial water system seepage give primary play to groundwater recharge,which is up to 57.6% whilst that of the natural system reduce to 33.7%.As a result,groundwater level drop 3-5m widespread except some irrigation area and surrounding of plain reservoir.Sping water discharge also reduce about 37.6% and discharge some continuously move away to the north with the value of 0.5-1.2km in the past 40 years.

Shrinking and Drying up of Baiyangdian Lake Wetland： A Natural or Human Cause？

1 Introduction The sensitivity of ecosystems to global climate change is one of important issues for research. Many studies have indicated that wetland ecosystem is one of the most vulnerable systems (Brock and Van, 1992; Vourltis and Oechel, 1997; Burkeet, 2000; Lahmer et al., 2001; Zhang et al., 2001; Deng et al., 2003). 松嫩平原中南部黑土氮流失程度及分布特征研究

对松嫩平原中南部黑土区20世纪80年代以及目前土壤中氮含量数据资料分析结果显示,近40年来研究区土壤氮的流失率达到5.02%.总体上呈现出土壤氮含量丰富-较丰富的一级、二级土地面积大量减少,而土壤中氮含量中等-缺乏的三级、四级和五级土地面积逐渐增大.对研究区不同土地利用方式土壤氮含量变化特征统计结果显示,研究区人为活动影响较强的水田和旱田两种主要土地利用方式土壤中氮含量丰富区的土地所占面积比例分别减少了20.9和6.1个百分点;人为活动影响相对较弱的沼泽湿地、草地和林地3种土地利用方式土壤氮含量丰富区的面积有所增加.对不同行政区市县土壤氮含量变化特征空间分析结果表明,研究区有6个市县土壤氮流失达到重度程度,建议作为黑土氮流失治理的重点地区;有8个市县（区）土壤氮流失达到中度程度,应作为土壤氮流失防与治兼顾的重点地区.     

考虑植被和人类活动影响的水文模型参数时变特征分析

变化环境下流域水文物理特性常呈现"非稳态"特征,代表流域特性的模型参数也会随之发生变化,因此,开展水文模型参数时变研究有助于提高水文模拟精度。考虑植被条件和人类活动对水文过程的影响,基于植被归一化指数、人口、地区生产总值、粮食产量和有效灌溉面积5个指标建立两参数月水量平衡模型参数的时变函数表达式,并考虑4种参数时变情形。选取直门达、张家山、咸阳、横江、丹江口和峡江站6个水文站分析对比4种情形下模型的径流模拟结果及其不确定性。结果表明:所有站点在1982—2006年内水文物理特性呈现"非稳态"特征;且较常参数而言,时变参数模型模拟效果更好,并获得更优的确定性预报结果,其中直门达站径流模拟精度提高最为显著,率定期和检验期内的纳西效率系数（N_S）分别提高了10.3%和8.8%。该研究可以为变化环境下流域水库调度、水资源规划与管理等提供理论依据和技术支撑。     

Analyzing the effect of earthquakes on OpenStreetMap contribution patterns and tweeting activities

ABSTRACT

Natural disasters, such as wildfires, earthquakes, landslides, or floods, lead to an increase in topical information shared on social media and in increased mapping activities in volunteered geographic information (VGI) platforms. Using earthquakes in Nepal and Central Italy as case studies, this research analyzes the effects of natural disasters on short-term (weeks) and longer-term (half year) changes in OpenStreetMap (OSM) mapping behavior and tweet activities in the affected regions. An increase of activities in OSM during the events can be partially attributed to those focused OSM mapping campaigns, for example, through the Humanitarian OSM Team (HOT). Using source tags in OSM change-sets, it was found that only a small portion of external mappers actually travels to the affected regions, whereas the majority of external mappers relies on desktop mapping instead. Furthermore, the study analyzes the spatio-temporal sequence of posted tweets together with keyword filters to identify a subset of users who most likely traveled to the affected regions for support and rescue operations. It also explores where, geographically, earthquake information spreads within social networks.
