The purpose of this paper is to extend the study of the so called p-q resonant orbits of the planar restricted three-body problem to the spatial case. The p-q resonant orbits are solutions of the restricted three-body problem which have consecutive close encounters with the smaller primary. If E, M and P denote the larger primary, the smaller one and the infinitesimal body, respectively, then p and q are the number of revolutions that P gives around M and M around E, respectively, between two consecutive close approaches. For fixed values of p and q and suitable initial conditions on a sphere of radius around the smaller primary, we will derive expressions for the final position and velocity on this sphere for the orbits under consideration. 相似文献

The global semi-numerical perturbation method proposed by Henrard and Lemaître (1986) for the 2/1 resonance of the planar elliptic restricted three body problem is applied to the 3/1 resonance and is compared with Wisdom's perturbative treatment (1985) of the same problem. It appears that the two methods are comparable in their ability to reproduce the results of numerical integration especially in what concerns the shape and area of chaotic domains. As the global semi-numerical perturbation method is easily adapted to more general types of perturbations, it is hoped that it can serve as the basis for the analysis of more refined models of asteroidal motion. We point out in our analysis that Wisdom's uncertainty zone mechanism for generating chaotic domains (also analysed by Escande 1985 under the name of slow Hamiltonian chaotic layer) is not the only one at work in this problem. 用非线性动力学原理和非线性振动方法,结合Chandler摆动的时间序列反演,证实了Chandler摆动的衰减能量是由周年激发的非线性共振所补充的.由高布锡归算的ILS参数,按共振激发模型反演出的Chandler摆动衰减指数和频率品质因数等结果,符合已有的大量基本结论,反演出的非齐次项的强迫频率基本都在周年频率的周围.非线性共振模型还表明,Chandler频率的不稳定性是由于存在频率转换和漂移,摆动振幅的不稳定性是由于存在共振跳跃,非线性的存在还将引出组合共振频率.同时用推广的最小公倍数证实和频差频的存在,提供了非整数的最小公倍数算法,为数论的非线性推广和在天文中的应用提供了工具. 相似文献

Generation of Meteorological Tsunamis (Large Amplitude Seiches) Near the Balearic and Kuril Islands 总被引:5,自引:5,他引:0
Extreme atmosphere-induced seiche oscillations occasionally occur in specific inlets and bays of the world ocean causing severe damage to coastal areas, ships and port constructions. Ciutadella inlet (Menorca Island, Western Mediterranean) can be singled out as a place where such large seiches, locally known as rissaga, are quite common. Similar (although weaker) oscillations are also regularly observed in bays of Shikotan Island (South Kuril Islands, northwestern Pacific). Several spectacular events in these regions, identified in the first part of this study (Rabinovich and Monserrat, 1996), are analysed to determine the atmospheric parameters responsible for the generation of large-amplitude seiches. Their generation mechanism was shown to be quite different from that causing ordinary background oscillations. Coincidence of some external factors and certain resonance effects seem to be necessary to produce the destructive waves. In particular, rissaga waves in Ciutadella inlet were found to be related to significant atmospheric disturbances propagating from the southwest, coinciding with the orientation of the inlet, and having a phase speed of about 3 m/s, which is close to the phase speed of long waves offshore from Menorca. Pronounced resonant properties of the inner basin strongly amplify incoming waves in Ciutadella inlet. In contrast, the bays of the northwestern coast of Shikotan Island are protected from normally incident atmosphere-induced waves by the elongated Kunashir Island, hence the whole situation there is not so favorable for the excitation of large seiches. 相似文献

The Kelvin wave excited by an intraseasonal wind forcing with a 40-day period over the western Pacific Ocean was simulated
using an ocean general circulation model, and was investigated by the use of spectral analysis. The amplitude of the temperature
has two peaks north and south of the equator at the depth of the thermocline, and the amplitude of zonal velocity also has
two peaks on the equator above and below the thermocline. The phase shows the upward propagation of the wave. It was queried
why this wave, which appears to be transient rather than modelike, is formed quickly and always propagates with a phase velocity
of about 3 m/s. The vertical one-dimensional forcing problem was studied, where the external forcing of up and down motions
moving eastward is imposed at the surface. The growth time is estimated from the resonant solution. The first mode can resonate
quickly, but the second cannot. The response in the infinitely deep ocean was also studied to focus on the transiency, where
the reflection from the bottom is inhibited. The wave response to the forcing with a speed of about 3 m/s has a large amplitude,
i.e. quasi-resonance occurs. In this case, the thermocline plays the role of a reflector, and the upper ocean between the
sea surface and the thermocline behaves as a duct. Here, the small resonant cavity explains why the wave is formed so quickly,
and the special value of the wave velocity is interpreted as a resonance condition in the duct. The wave corresponding to
the second baroclinic mode could not be excited easily by the short-lived forcing at the surface, since this mode is mainly
structured under the thermocline. It was found that the wave damps in consequence of leaking energy downward, and the damping
rate depends on the period of the wave.
