ABSTRACT

Mud diapirs and gas chimneys are widely developed in continental slope areas, which can provide sufficient gas for hydrate formation, and they are important for finding natural gas hydrates. Based on the interpretation and analysis of high-resolution 2D and 3D seismic data covering the deep-water area in the Qiongdongnan Basin (QDNB), northern South China Sea, we studied the formation mechanism of mud diapirs and gas chimneys and their relationship with natural gas hydrates. Mud diapirs and gas chimneys are columnar and domelike in shape and the internal regions of these bodies have abnormal reflections characterized by fuzzy, chaotic, and blanking zones. The reflection events terminate at the rims of mud diapirs and gas chimneys with pull-up reflections and pull-down reflections, respectively. In addition, ‘bright spots’ and diapiric-associated faults occur adjacent to mud diapirs and gas chimneys. The rapidly deposited and deeply buried fine sediments filling in the Tertiary in deep-water areas of the QDNB and overpressure potential derived from undercompacted mudstones, as well as from the pressurization of organic matter and hydrocarbon generation, provide abundant materials and intensive driving forces for the formation of mud diapirs and gas chimneys. Bottom simulating reflectors (BSRs) with strong amplitude and high or poor continuity were recognized atop the mud diapirs and gas chimneys and in the structural highs within the same region, indicating that they have a close relationship with each other. The mud diapirs and gas chimneys and associated high-angle faults provide favourable vertical pathways for the hydrocarbons migrating from deep strata to shallow natural gas hydrate stability zones where natural gas hydrates accumulate; however, some BSRs are characterized by weak amplitude and poor continuity, which can be affected by high temperature and overpressure in the process of the mud diapir and gas chimney activities. This mutually restricting relationship must be taken into consideration in the process of gas hydrate exploration in QDNB.  相似文献

地表水资源是维系区域生态平衡和促进经济社会发展的制约性要素,河川径流是地表水资源的主要形式,二者的丰枯变化均直接影响流域水资源管理。基于江河实测径流量资料和水资源公报资料,初步分析了1956—2018年中国主要江河实测径流量和中国十大水资源区地表水资源的变化和演变特征。结果表明:①除长江大通站外,中国主要江河代表性水文站实测年径流量均呈现下降趋势。②黄河上游唐乃亥站实测年径流量为非显著性减少趋势,黄河花园口站实测径流量呈现显著性减少趋势;1980—2000年和2001—2018年唐乃亥站实测径流量较基准期1956—1979年分别变化1.8%和-5.9%,而同时期花园口站实测径流量分别减少26.7%和41.0%。③地理分布上,黄河是中国南北地区径流变化的分水岭,黄河以南地区江河径流量为非显著性变化,黄河以北江河径流量为显著性减少趋势,特别是海河流域,实测径流量减少最为显著;21世纪以来,黄河以北河流实测径流量较1980年之前减少幅度超过25%,海河减幅高达80%以上。④1956—2018年全国地表水资源量约为27266亿m 3,较第二次全国水资源评价结果偏少122亿m 3。21世纪以来,海河、黄河、辽河地表水资源明显减少,进一步加重了区域水资源供需矛盾。  相似文献

Using the new high-quality 3D seismic data, this paper addresses the salt structures in the KL11 area of the Laizhouwan depression in the southern offshore Bohai Bay basin. In the study area, the salt in the Sha-4 Member of the Paleogene Shahejie Formation thickened, and then formed an S–N trending salt wall, which changes shape regularly along its trend from salt diapir to salt pillow. The change in thickness of the suprasalt layers record five growth phases of the salt wall from the Eocene to the Quaternary: (1) early diapirism, (2) active diapirism, (3) passive diapirism, (4) relative structural quiescence, and (5) arching. The evolution of the salt structures was mostly governed by the multi-phase compression induced by the dextral strike-slip of the Tan–Lu fault, which formed a restraining bend in the study area. There was an original passive stock in the south, which was later tectonically squeezed by E–W compression and became a diapir. As the shortening propagated to the north from the original stock, the salt pillow was created in the north. Relative structural quiescence then followed until the next phase of compression, which arched the thick roof of the salt wall.  相似文献

选择毛乌素沙漠和黄土高原过渡带——陕北榆林地区作为研究区域,在地理信息系统支持下,对两个不同时期的遥感影像进行了解译,总结了该区10余年来沙漠化土地景观特征,分析了土地沙漠化空间格局的动态变化规律。结果表明,研究区内沙漠化土地形势仍十分严峻,沙漠化土地面积占土地总面积的67.7%,其空间分布具有明显的不平衡性,表现为西北部和中部区域沙漠化程度较为严重,土地沙漠化空间分布的不平衡性与该区自然因素和土地利用方式的空间差异有关。经过几十年的积极治理与改造,该区土地沙漠化过程逐渐趋于稳定。通过探讨土地沙漠化的成因,认为自然环境与人类行为的相互作用及在时间尺度上的矛盾造成了该区持续的土地沙漠化过程。  相似文献

文章运用 ArcGIS10.5软件的DSAS模块的端点变化率、线性回归率等算法,以莆田市 1984年、1994年、2004年、2010年、2014年和2019年6个时期的google遥感影像图(Landsat卫星)为数据源,分析莆田30余年来围海、填海工程及其他岸线类型的变迁过程。结合历史文献资料研究发现:①1984—2004年,围填海工程基本以围海养殖和围海盐业生产为主,胜利、澄峰、后海、东峤围海垦区占围海工程90%以上;②2004—2014年,填海造地工程飞速发展,临港产业园、妈祖城、东吴港区、石门澳等大面积区域性填海面积约60 km2,约占全市填海面积的93%;③近5年来,大批围海工程转产转型,围海面积逐年减少,生态修复岸线和砂质岸线迅速增长,海岸保护能力不断升级。莆田围填海工程建设提升了莆田海洋经济社会的发展水平,增加了海洋经济产值,适应了城市发展需求,但海岸保护功能降低、纳潮量减少、生物多样性损伤、水质恶化等海洋生态环境问题日益突出。随着生态海堤、蓝色海湾等海洋修复工程的实施,改善了海岸防护工程的功能体系,提升了海岸带生态环境自适应能力,为推进海岸带生态修复工程的实施提供科学依据。  相似文献

The Wahiba Sands in northeastern Oman are bordered on the north, south and west by highlands. Remote sensing data are used to characterize the region between 19–23.5°N and 56.5–60°E by mapping surface and near-surface drainage, faults and fractures and aeolian features. It is suggested that the sands were originally deposited with surface runoff from the principal wadis and fluvially reworked fault zones, which define the northeastern and southwestern margins. These fluvial processes resulted in the accumulation of the vast groundwater resources now stored there. During dry climates, wind became the principal modification regime and it began to sort and shape the sediments into the dune forms that characterize today's Wahiba region. The thickness of the sands reflects the depth of the basin in which they lie. The center of the basin is filled with the thickest sand (the High Sands) and contains the highest groundwater concentrations. Presently, aeolian reworking dominates in the Wahiba region, although the Low and the Peripheral Sands continue to experience some fluvial action from occasional, seasonal rainfall. Even though dry conditions dominate today, it is clear that similar to the Sahara of North Africa, the surface sands of the Wahiba basin are indicators of groundwater occurrence.  相似文献

四川甘孜—理塘断裂带是川西高原重要成矿区(带)之一。区域水系沉积物测量和早期异常查证结果,在阿加隆洼、雄龙西、马拢等3处高浓度金异常部位发现了有较大找矿前景的岩金矿产地。为进一步挖掘区域化探资料所蕴含的找矿信息,后期研究工作以水系沉积物金异常为单元,结合区域找矿新进展和新认识,对异常进行了再评价;以采样方格为单元,进行了地球化学统计成矿信息预测和靶区筛选;以阿加隆洼金矿床(含外围)为重点研究对象,初步建立了水系沉积物—土壤—岩石地球化学找矿模式,进行了找矿预测。经对矿区进行少量钻探工程验证后,获得了明显的找矿效果,对外围部分靶区查证后,在原有分散流弱异常地段,也相继发现了宰乌隆洼、阿达隆2处有较大找矿前景的岩金矿产地,拓展了找矿空间。  相似文献

The currently inactive deep-seated gravitational slope deformation (DGSD) Sagspitz in Tyrol, Austria, covers an area of 3 km2 and originated along a glacially over-steepened slope composed mainly of phyllites belonging to the Innsbruck Quartzphyllite Complex. Past mass movement processes caused the formation of fracture systems and slump bodies which consequently form the aquifers of relatively large springs in a rock type with generally very low permeability and poor porosity. Analysis of water chemistry, oxygen isotope, and field parameters of the springs emerging from the DGSD imply that multilevel aquifers exist and enabled the detection of continuous deep flow paths through the entire length of the mass movement from the main scarp to the toe of the slope. It is shown that the aquifer boundaries and spring emergences throughout the loosened rock mass can be correlated to the internal and basal shear zones of the DGSD so that this hydrogeological approach proved to be useful for evaluating the mass movement structure.  相似文献
