Variations in the Rate of Anaerobic Succinate Accumulation within the Central and Marginal Regions of an Euryoxic Bivalve Mantle

Abstract. Anaerobic metabolism in the central and marginal portions of the mantle of Mercenaria mercenaria was compared. Anaerobic succinate accumulation was more rapid in the central region. This difference may be due to higher phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase activity in the central region. Thus, the central region is more specialized for anaerobic metabolism and the marginal region more for net shell growth. The original rate of succinate accumulation in the mantle is similar in isolated mantles and intact clams, suggesting that mantle succinate production does not require translocation of precursors from other tissues. However, in intact clams, the rate of succinate accumulation in the central region of the mantle slows after four hours. The reduced rate is probably caused by reducing the metabolic rate. Succinate accumulation and shell dissolution are slower in freshly collected clams than in clams that had been stored anaerobically. The difference may be due to induction of PEPCK synthesis during storage. Shell derived calcium did not accumulate in the mantle and, therefore did not alter the intracellular calcium concentration in the mantle.     

The European vision for oceans and seas—Social and political dimensions of the Green Paper on Maritime Policy for the EU

The EU Green Paper on Maritime Policy is the European response to the new generation of ocean strategies based on science, technology and innovation aimed at new objectives, such as the strengthening of security and access to new resources. The European character of the proposal is found in the presence of social, cultural and historical elements, what is called the “European vision”. The viability of a European vision of the oceans and the idea of maritime empire as an extension of the current concept of empire within the general context of emerging ocean strategies are the elements offered up for debate on this European Union initiative.     

日本沼虾黑鳃病几种同工酶的变化与病理分析

酯酶（EST），过氧化物酶（POD），乳酸脱氢酶（LDH）和苹果酸脱氢酶（MDH）同工酶在日本沼虾中存在着组织和器官的特异性，患黑鳃病后酶带发生显著变化。在肌肉、肝脏、心脏和鳃中病虾较健康虾的LDH酶谱分别缺失了2、6、2和1条酶带，同时肝脏中新增了1条酶带；POD酶谱分别缺失了0、7、4和2酶带，肌肉中新增了2条酶带；EST酶谱分别缺失了0、2、3和1条酶带，肌肉、心脏和鳃中分别新增了1、2和2条酶带；MDH酶谱分别缺失了0、2、1和1条酶带，肌肉和脏脏中各新增了1条酶带。     

黄、渤海沿岸海冰测点代表性浅析

通过分析１９８０年以后的海冰资料和卫星云图照片，对黄、渤海沿岸１１个海冰测点的历史变迁进行了评述，浅析了测点的优劣及使用资料时应注意的事项。     

Impact Buckling and Post-Buckling of Elasto-Viscoplastic Cylindrical Shell Under Torsion

The dynamic torsional buckling and post-buckling of elasto-plastic circular cylindrical shell isstudied.By the usage of the Bodner-Partom constitutive relation,the present visco-plastic problem is treat-ed as an orthotropic elastic problem.Based on the nonlinear large deflection shell therory,the governingdynamic buckling equation is solved by the Runge-Kutta method,and the critical buckling stress is deter-mined by the B-R criterion.The present paper is mainly focused on the imperfection sensitivity,the strainrate sensitivity,and the dynamic post-buckling characters for the shell loaded dynamically with a constantshear strain rate.Numerical results show that the critical shear stress and imperfection sensitivity will in-crease with the increase of strain rate.It is found that the elastic buckling stress is more sensitive toimperfection than the visco-plastic buckling.The present research also reveals some dynamic post-bucklingcharacters for the cylindrical shell,and it is shown that the shell will vibra     

海上浮动软管的三维静态分析

提出了海上浮动软管的三维静态分析模型。在四级海情下，对输送柴油的软管求得了解析解，得出了软管在侧向和垂直方向的偏移及其所受的拉力，认为此时的软管是不安全的。     

An Experimental Study of Several Special Issues Regarding the Ice Force on Conical Structures

The effect of the cone spacing of a conieal structure on the ice force is studied by model experiments. The ice force reduction coefficient presented in this paper expresses the relationship between the ice force and the arrangement of cones. The experiments prove that the mode of the ice failure before the boundary of upward-downward bending cone (UDBC) is crushing. A conclusion can also be drawn from the experiments that the ice force on the boundary of UDBC is by far less than that on a vertical pile with the same diameter. Moreover, the ice force frequencies on upright and inve-rted cones are obtained under the field condition of the platform JZ20-2, respectively. The results show that the alterna-tion of the ice force on UDBC can hardly induce resonance of platform JZ20-2.     

排铅奶粉对在岗交警体内粪铅排除作用

研究了青岛市南、市北、四方三区交警在服用排铅奶粉（ＬｅａｄＥｘｃｒｅｔｉｎｇＭｉｌｋＰｏｗ－ｄｅｒ，ＬＥＭＰ）前后，体内粪铅含量变化情况。实验结果表明，服用ＬＥＭＰ后，粪铅含量先呈上升趋势，达到最高值后，又呈下降趋势。在整个实验过程中，粪铅含量四方区最高，而市南区最低。服用ＬＥＭＰ前，三区交警粪铅平均含量为０．６８７ｍｇ／ｋｇ，服用７ｄ后达到峰值（１．９６ｍｇ／ｋｇ，Ｐ＜０．０１），第１５ｄ降到１．６１（ｍｇ／ｋｇ）（Ｐ＜０．０５），表明ＬＥＭＰ能排除体内铅起到预防铅中毒的作用     

水动力作用下管道稳定性的试验研究

利用振荡流水槽在以下两种约束条件下，研究波浪作用下直接铺设于砂质海底的管道失稳临界条件：1）管道两端自由；2）管道可水平、垂直自由运动，但流动受到限制。试验结果表明，管重无量纳数G与管道失稳的临界Fr数之间大致呈线性关系，而当G超过一定数值时，管道是侧向稳定的。管道的约束条件、砂床特性和加载速度对管道稳定性均有影响。
