This study used organic matter in oligotrophic Lake Constance (southern Germany) to reconstruct lake environment and to disentangle
the multiple factors, such as climate change and human impacts, which influence sedimentation in large lakes. A sediment core
from Upper Lake Constance, which represents 16,000 years of Late Glacial and Holocene lake history, was analysed for organic
biomarkers, hydrogen index and elements calcium, strontium, and magnesium. Magnetic susceptibility was measured to establish
a high-resolution stratigraphic framework for the core and to obtain further information about changes with respect to relative
allochthonous versus autochthonous sedimentation. Dinosterol—a biomarker for dinoflagellates—and calcium have low concentrations
in Younger Dryas sediments and consistently high concentrations between 10,500 and 7,000 cal. years BP. These variations are
attributed to changes in lake productivity, but are not reflected in the proportion of total organic carbon within the sediment.
During the Younger Dryas and between 6,000 and 2,800 cal. years BP, concentrations and accumulation rates of land-plant-derived
C29-steroids (β-sitosterol, stigmastanol and stigmasterol), in combination with a relatively low HI, indicate periods of enhanced
terrigenous input to the lake. For the Younger Dryas, higher runoff can be attributed to a cold climate, leading to decreased
vegetation cover and increased erosion. After 6,000 cal. years BP, high terrestrial input may be explained by enhanced precipitation.
Biomarker and HI results, in combination with archaeological studies, raise the question as to whether lakeshore settlements
affected sedimentation in Upper Lake Constance between 6,000 and 2,800 cal. years BP. 相似文献

max vs the present depth of the Kupferschiefer, soluble organic matter (SOM) yields, and relative proportions of saturated and
aromatic hydrocarbons of the SOM provide evidence for an oxidative alteration of organic matter in highly mineralized Kupferschiefer
samples near the Rote F?ule zones. This is confirmed by differences in the composition of the saturated and aromatic hydrocarbon
fractions of the soluble organic matter: Saturated hydrocarbons from Rote F?ule samples are dominated by short-chain n-alkanes
and higher abundances of pristane and phytane relative to heptadecane (n-C17) and octadecane (n-C18), respectively, compared
with samples more distant to the Rote F?ule zone. Compositional changes of the aromatic hydrocarbon fractions with decreasing
distance to that zone are characterized by the occurrence of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons and elevated ratios of phenanthrene
to methylphenanthrenes that are attributed to demethylation reactions and resulted in a decrease of the methylphenanthrene
index (MPI 1). Kupferschiefer samples from the barren zone of the Polish Basin do not show these alteration patterns. The
observed variations in organic matter composition with burial depth are consistent with changes due to increasing thermal
maturation. Maturity assessment is achieved from MPI 1 and the methyldibenzothiophene ratio (MDR). From the relationship between
the maturity of organic matter in terms of vitrinite reflectance values and depth of the Kupferschiefer strata, a continuous
increase in reflectance of vitrinite is obtained within the Polish Basin. The alteration pattern of organic matter related
to base metal mineralization of the Kupferschiefer corresponds to changes in the isotopic composition of organic carbon and
calcite. Kerogen within, or close to, Rote F?ule zone is enriched in 13C caused by the preferential release of isotopically light organic compounds through progressive degradation of organic matter.
The opposite tendency towards lower δ
13C and δ
18O values of calcite provides evidence for isotopic exchange between carbonate and the oxidizing, ore-bearing solutions and
for organic matter remineralization. In contrast, organic matter and calcite from the Kupferschiefer do not show regular trends
in δ
13C with increasing thermal maturation.

Four types of tufa occur along creeks draining the Oscar Range in the Kimberley region of Western Australia; stream-bed tufa, tufa dams, stream-bed tufa waterfalls, and rimstone pools. Well-developed tufa dam and waterfall formations occur at significant breaks of slope within the channel long profile. This suggests that disruption of the hydraulic flow regime and increased turbulence at these points has an important role to play in determining the location of tufa deposits. However, the best-developed stream-bed tufa deposits are located immediately upstream of dam and waterfall formations, which indicates that the evaporation of water ponded behind these flow obstructions may lead to calcium carbonate precipitation during the dry season. The presence of plant and cyanobacterial communities on, and the incorporation of organic material into, the best-developed tufa formations indicates that biological activity may have an important role to play in determining both the rate of tufa deposition and the internal structure of the resulting accumulations. 相似文献

A Lagrangian tracer model is set up for Hangzhou Bay based on Coupled Hydrodynamical Ecological model for Regional Shelf Sea
(COHERENS). The study area is divided into eight subdomains to identify the dominant physical processes, and the studied periods
are March (the dry season) and July (the wet season). The model performance has been first verified by sea-surface elevation
and tidal current observations at several stations. Eight tracer experiments are designed and Lagrangian particle tracking
is simulated to examine the impact of physical processes (tide, wind and river runoff) on the transport of passive tracer
released within the surface layer. Numerical simulations and analysis indicate that: (1) wind does not change the tracer distribution
after 30 days except for those released from the south area of the bay during the wet season; (2) the tide and the Qiantang
River runoff are important for particle transport in the head area of the bay; (3) the Changjiang River runoff affects the
tracer transport at the mouth of the bay, and its impact is smaller in the dry season than in the wet season.

前人对羌塘盆地的烃源岩研究资料主要来源于中生界地表露头,少见古生界的。对羌资5井二叠系展金组烃源岩的钻井岩心研究表明,其有机碳含量高,平均值达到1.15%,属于好烃源岩。干酪根显微组分主要为Ⅲ型,其次为Ⅱ2型;有机质主要来自于海相低等水生生物,热演化已达到成熟阶段。烃源岩具较好的生气能力。认为井下烃源岩样品虽显示其处于有机质演化成熟阶段,但因受后期构造抬升的影响,推测二叠系深部未知的烃源岩可能尚处于高成熟—过成熟阶段。羌塘盆地二叠系具有较好的勘探前景,油气勘探可向深部古生界开展。 相似文献
