A new imaging atmospheric Cherenkov telescope with a light-weight reflector has been constructed. Light, robust, and durable mirror facets of containing carbon fiber reinforced plastic laminates were developed for the telescope. The reflector has a parabolic shape (f/1.1) with a 30 m2 surface area, which consists of 60 spherical mirror facets. The image size of each mirror facet is 0°.08 (FWHM) on average. The attitude of each facet can be adjusted by stepping motors. After the first in situ adjustment, a point image of about 0°.14 (FWHM) over 3° field of view was obtained. The effect of gravitational load on the optical system was confirmed to be negligible at the focal plane. The telescope has been in operation with an energy threshold for γ-rays of 300 GeV since May 1999. 相似文献

A quick and effective underwater quantitative quadrat sampler was designed for sampling macrobenthic epifauna on hard substrates. Using a 400 cm2 quadrat, divers could take samples quickly and with little or no loss of organisms. Big Bear Solar Observatory (BBSO), Ramaty High Energy Solar Spectroscopic Imager (RHESSI), and Extreme UV Imager Telescope
(EIT), and The Michelson Doppler Imager (MDI) on board of the Solar and Heliospheric Observatory (SOHO). The radio sources
at 4.8 and 6.2 GHz located in the intersection of two flaring loops at 195 of SOHO/EIT respectively with two dipole magnetic
fields of SOHO/MDI, in which one EIT loop was coincident with an X-ray loop of RHESSI at 12–25 keV, and two Hαbright kernels a1 and a2 of BBSO, respectively at the two footpoints of this loop; the second EIT loop connected another two
Hαkernels b1 and b2 and radio sources at 7.8 and 8.2 GHz of OVSA. The maximum phase of microwave bursts was evidently later
than that of hard X-ray bursts and Hαkernels a1 and a2, but consistent with that of Hαkernels b1 and b2. Moreover, the flare may be triggered by the interaction of the two flaring loops, which is suggested by
the cross-correlation of radio, optical, and X-ray light curves of a common quasi-periodic oscillation in the rising phase,
as well as two peaks at about 7 and 9 GHz of the microwave spectra at the peak times of the oscillation, while the bi-directional
time delays at two reversal frequencies respectively at 7.8 and 9.4 GHz (similar to the peak frequencies of the microwave
spectra) may indicate two reconnection sites at different coronal levels. The microwave and hard X-ray footpoint sources located
in different EUV and optical loops may be explained by different magnetic field strength and the pitch angle distribution

Dark matter currents in the large-scale structure give rise to gravitomagnetic terms in the metric, which affect the light propagation. Corrections to the weak-lensing power spectrum due to these gravitomagnetic potentials are evaluated by perturbation theory. A connection between gravitomagnetic lensing and the integrated Sachs–Wolfe (iSW) effect is drawn, which can be described by a line-of-sight integration over the divergence of the gravitomagnetic vector potential. This allows the power spectrum of the iSW-effect to be derived within the framework of the same formalism as derived for gravitomagnetic lensing and reduces the iSW-effect to a second-order lensing phenomenon. The three-dimensional power spectra are projected by means of a generalized Limber-equation to yield the angular power spectra. Gravitomagnetic corrections to the weak-lensing spectrum are negligible at currently accessible scales, and cosmic-variance considerations suggest that the detection of the iSW-effect's contribution to the cosmic microwave background angular power spectrum is too small to be detectable at multipoles probed by the Planck satellite. 相似文献

The dominance of “ecosystem services” as a guiding concept for environmental management – where it appears as a neutral, obvious, taken-for-granted concept – hides the fact that there are choices implicit in its framing and in its application. In other words, it is a highly political concept, and its utility depends on the arena in which it is used and what it is used for. Following a political ecology framework, and based on a literature review, bibliometric analyses, and brief examples from two tropical rainforest countries, this review investigates four moments in the construction and application of the ecosystem services idea: socio-historical (the emergence of the discourse), ontological (what knowledge does the concept allow?), scientific (difficulties in its practical application), and political (who wins, who loses?). We show how the concept is a boundary object with widespread appeal, trace the discursive and institutional context within which it gained traction, and argue that choices of scale, definition, and method in measuring ecosystem services frustrate its straightforward application. As a result, it is used in diverse ways by different interests to justify different kinds of interventions that at times might be totally opposed. In Madagascar, the ecosystem services idea is mainly used to justify forest conservation in ways open to critique for its neoliberalization of nature or disempowerment of communities. In contrast, in the Brazilian Amazon, the discourse of ecosystem services has served the agendas of traditional populations and family farm lobbies. Ecosystem services, as an idea and tool, are mobilized by diverse actors in real-life situations that lead to complex, regionally particular and fundamentally political outcomes. 相似文献

利用FY-3A/MERSI资料,结合MODIS C005算法的海上气溶胶模型,研究了中国渤海、黄海以及东海海域沙尘天气气溶胶光学厚度反演方法。通过MERSI反演的气溶胶光学厚度与MODIS C005气溶胶光学厚度产品(MOD04)对比,发现MERSI气溶胶光学厚度反演结果存在较大偏差。分析认为,这种偏差是由MODIS C005算法的海上气溶胶模型对MERSI气溶胶光学厚度反演不完全适用造成的。鉴于此,本文研究引进了一种沙尘气溶胶模型,并将其与MODIS C005算法的粗粒子气溶胶模型按照一定比例混合,形成了改进的气溶胶模型。利用改进气溶胶模型再次反演海上沙尘天气气溶胶光学厚度,反演结果与MOD04一致性较好,说明改进气溶胶模型能有效地提高MERSI定量反演沙尘气溶胶的能力。 相似文献
