High-altitude platforms (HAPs) are a flexible and attractive technology for providing innovative wireless services. These
aerial platforms can be successfully employed for mobile or broadband communications and for disaster monitoring or response.
However, one of the open issues is whether HAP stations can provide reliable services without temporal outages owing to stratospheric
winds that can cause positional and attitude instabilities thus affecting the communication system operation. To counteract
this issue, one possible solution is to use reconfigurable antennas whose pointing direction can be adjusted depending on
the platform spatial orientation. However, this would require real-time three-axial attitude data. As a possible solution,
this paper will review the potential of GNSS-based attitude determination systems with reference to HAP stations. In particular,
it will be shown how the use of a particular class of low multipath and lightweight antennas can provide a high degree of

To image the electrical conductivity distribution, fluxgate magnetometers are operated at five sites in Andaman and Nicobar region. Transfer functions are estimated for the period range 8–128 min, from nighttime transient geomagnetic variations, using robust regression analysis. The observed induction arrows in Andaman Islands are found to point towards east despite deep sea located towards its west. This indicates that fore-arc basin (Andaman–Nicobar deep) is more conducting than the region of outer non-volcanic Island arc.Thin sheet model requires the conductance of 10,000–35,000 S (with increase conductivity towards the south) for explaining the observed induction pattern. The observed induction pattern at Andaman–Nicobar stations can be explained in terms of high conducting Cretaceous–Tertiary sediments filling the Andaman–Nicobar deep. High conductivity over Invisible bank has been attributed to the partial melts/volatile fluids derived from the subducting Indian plate that are intruding into the eastern margin of fore-arc basin through the West Andaman Fault (WAF).The induction pattern at Great Nicobar station (Campbell Bay) may be related to the highly conducting sediments filling the Mergui basin along with mafic intrusions. Also crustal transition occurs below the Mergui Terrace at the Malayan coast contributing to the enhanced conductivity anomaly. 相似文献

The pre-Alpine structural and geological evolution in the northern part of the North German Basin have been revealed on the
basis of a very dense reflection seismic profile grid. The study area is situated in the coastal Mecklenburg Bay (Germany),
part of the southwestern Baltic Sea. From the central part of the North German Basin to the northern basin margin in the Grimmen
High area a series of high-resolution maps show the evolution from the base Zechstein to the Lower Jurassic. We present a
map of basement faults affecting the pre-Zechstein. The pre-Alpine structural evolution of the region has been determined
from digital mapping of post-Permian key horizons traced on the processed seismic time sections. The geological evolution
of the North German Basin can be separated into four distinct periods in the Rerik study area. During Late Permian and Early
Triassic evaporites and clastics were deposited. Salt movement was initiated after the deposition of the Middle Triassic Muschelkalk.
Salt pillows, which were previously unmapped in the study area, are responsible for the creation of smaller subsidence centers
and angular unconformities in the Late Triassic Keuper, especially in the vicinity of the fault-bounded Grimmen High. In this
area, partly Lower Jurassic sediments overlie the Keuper unconformably. The change from extension to compression in the regional
stress field remobilized the salt, leading to a major unconformity marked at the base of the Late Cretaceous. 相似文献

在大别山黄石至六安反射地震剖面上有很多近水平的反射体,表明大别山中心部位的中、下地壳内也有近水平的分层性。反映有流变性和动力学方面的差异,与大型薄皮构造理论对岩石圈性质的认识一致,因而在其运动过程中应服从薄皮构造的运动规律。结合以往对大别山区划分的岩石一构造组合,在前人对此反射地震剖面所作的地质解释的基础上,对反射地震剖面作了较为详细的地质解释,并建立了大别山造山带在此剖面上的两维几何结构。剖面南部为造山过程中形成的背斜构造。地表15km深度内为由碰撞混杂岩组成的扬子与中一朝大陆之间的主滑脱带。剖面中部为造山期后的侵入体。剖面北部为主滑脱带的根带(通常认为的缝合带),根带被中生代形成的晓天磨子潭断裂带切割。剖面最北端为变质复理石中略晚于主滑脱带的反向冲断带。推溺l下地壳的断开距离在扬子大陆俯冲时(三叠纪前)规模较大,然后逐渐缩小,直至保留到今天的规模。 相似文献

Tectonometamorphic evolution of the Bohemian Massif: evidence from high pressure metamorphic rocks 总被引:4,自引:0,他引:4
The Variscan orogenic belt, of which the Bohemian Massif is a part, is typically recognized for its characteristic low pressure, high temperature metamorphism and a large volume of granites. However, there are also bodies of high pressure rocks (eclogites, garnet peridotites and high pressure granulites) which are small in size but widely distributed throughtout the Massif. Initially the high pressure rocks were considered to be relicts of a much older orogenic event, but the increasing data derived from isotopic and geochronological investigations show that many of these rocks have Palaeozoic protoliths. Metamorphic ages from the high pressure rocks define no single event. Instead, a number of discrete clusters of ages are found between about 430 Ma and the time of the dominant low pressure event at around 320–330 Ma.Most of the eclogite and granulite facies rocks are assigned to allochthonous nappes that arrived close to the end of the low pressure event, but before final granite intrusion. The nappes contain a mixture of different units and the relationship between rocks with high pressure relicts and host gneisses with no apparent signs of deep burial is still problematic. Some of the high pressure rocks retain evidence of multiple stages of partial re-equilibration during uplift. Moreover, it can be shown in certain instances that host gneisses also endured a multistage metamorphic development but with a peak event convergent with one of the breakdown stages in the enclosed rocks with high pressure relicts. It thus appears that the nappe units are composite bodies probably formed during episodic intracrustal thrusting. Fluids derived from prograde dehydration reactions in the newly under thrusting slab are taken to be the catalysts that drove the partial re-equilibrations.On the scale of the whole Massif it can be seen within the units with high pressure relicts that the temperature at the peak recorded pressure and that during the breakdown are variable in different locations. It is interpreted that regional metamorphic gradients are preserved for given stages in the history and thus the present day dismembered nappe relicts are not too far removed from their original spatial distribution in an original coherent unit. From the temperature information alone it is highly probable that the refrigerating underthrusting slab was situated in the north-west. However, this north-west to south-east underthrusting probably represents the major 380–370 Ma event and is no guide to the final thrusting that emplaced the much thinned nappe pile with high pressure relicts.Granite genesis is attributed to the late stage stacking, during the final Himalayan-type collision stage, of thinned crust covered by young, water-rich, sediments — erosion products of the earlier orogenic stages. Regional metamorphism at shallow depths above the voluminous granites was followed by final nappe emplacement which rejuvenated the granite ascent in places.
