The legal protection of limestone pavements in Great Britain

The Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 was passed to provide strengthened legal protection for threatened wildlife and environmental features in Britain. Limestone pavements were included specifically in section 34 of this act because their unique features were being damaged or destroyed through various causes. Limestone Pavement Orders (LPOs) are made under this act. This review considers why this protection became necessary, how the legislation is being implemented, what problems have arisen during implementation, and what progress has been made in making LPOs. Enforcement of the law, monitoring of sites after LPOs have been made, and management of pavement sites are discussed with reference to limestone pavements in NW England. Effectiveness of the legislation is difficult to assess because legal processes are incomplete, but there are indications that it is being effective in Britain. However, commercial threats to these landforms may simply have been shifted to Eire. The British experience with legal protection of these fragile karst features may aid conservationists in other nations.

用MFC快速开发屏幕保护程序

分析了操作系统对屏幕保护程序的调用机制，提出完全使用MFC快速开发屏幕保护程序的方法，并比较该方法与传统实现方法的优缺点之后，利用MFC实现了一个在指定目录查找并装入位图文件，然后定时切换位图显示的屏幕保护示例程序。     

A SIMULTANEOUS APPROACH TO WATER—RESOURCE PROTECTION AND ECONOMIC STRUCTURAL ADJUSTMENT —A Case Study of Guanzhong Region in the Huanghe River Basin,China

A regional multiple-objective water-resource and economic optimization model was developed using a quantitative method of systematic analysis.Input to the model includes indexes of economic structure and development,water-resource utilization,wastewater and pollutant discharge,and investment in wastewater treatment.The model,which consists of producton-structure and industrial-structure optimization modules,was applied to the Guanzhong region in the middle reaches of the Huanghe(Yellow) River basin in China.By evaluating several alternative production and industrialization schemes,the modal indicate that water pollution will get worsen though wastewater treatment improves if the economy continues to develop at the planned speed without structural adjustment.However,the results also show that not only economic goals but also water-resource protection and pollution-control targets can be achieved under an alternative,recommended production and industrial structure.This example illustrates that economic development and environmental protection can be improved coordinately by the regional multiple-objective water-resource and economic optimization model.It provides an operable approach to the simultaneous sustained development of water resources and economic growth.     

大亚湾网箱养殖区异养细菌和弧菌的数量动态

研究了大亚湾网箱养殖水体中细菌的数量动态，以探讨其变化规律与鱼病的关系。结果表明：总细菌、弧菌的数量变化各异，网箱内、网箱外和对照海区细菌数量分布与变化不同。养殖区异养细菌丰值期在4-5月份，5月份最高；网箱水体弧菌的丰值期在6-11月，最高在8月；网箱外丰值期在7-9月，最高在8月，对照海区最高值在9月．其他时间变化不大。无论是异养菌还是弧菌，细菌值大小顺序为网箱内、网箱外、对照海区。弧菌数量与部分环境因子相关性较为密切，但相关程度随不同空间而不同，可能受其他环境条件影响。弧菌的高值期与弧菌病的流行期相吻合，鱼体受伤或其他原因引起细菌感染也会使水体中细菌数量升高。     

矿产资源开发的地质环境影响及其治理对策——以北京首钢铁矿环境治理与保护措施为例

开发矿产资源创造大量财富的同时,也对矿区生态环境产生了严重的负面影响。本文概述了我国矿产资源开发对地质环境造成的普遍影响。通过分析了北京首钢铁矿“三废”防治、地质环境治理和生态修复的成功经验,总结了矿山地质环境治理与保护的方法和措施,提出了加强矿山环境保护的对策和建议。     

川藏铁路西藏昌都段生态保护重要性评价

生态系统服务功能与生态系统敏感性是衡量生态系统质量及实现高质量生态文明建设的重要依据。川藏铁路沿途跨越多个自然地理单元,生态环境保护是铁路规划、建设及运行过程中面临的关键问题。以川藏铁路西藏昌都段为研究对象,采取资料分析与野外调查结合的手段,运用生态评价模型对研究区的生态系统服务和生态脆弱性进行分析,并基于研究结果对铁路途经区域的生态保护重要性进行评价。结果表明,当前昌都境内川藏铁路涉及的生态保护极重要区、重要区和一般重要区占比分别为42.19%、52.69% 和5.12%。评价结果有助于在铁路规划、建设及运营过程中对工程活动进行合理布局,有针对性地降低对生态系统的负面影响,达到社会经济效益和生态效益双赢的目的。
