The Late Proterozoic Katangan basic rocks (dolerites and basalts) outcropping at Kibambale in central Shaba (Zaire) are classified as extension-related tholeiites. The concentrations of immobile major and trace elements resemble those encountered in Phanerozoic enriched oceanic ridge basalts (E-MORB) emplaced in incipient oceanic rifts such as Red Sea and Tadjura Gulf troughs. This conclusion is also sustained by: elemental ratios which are MORB-like; multielement chondrite- and MORB-normalized patterns; sedimentological data, especially the shallow water conditions which prevailed during the deposition of lower Kundelungu tillite in which these basic rocks are interstratified; and the geological and structural framework, notably the emplacement of these igneous rocks in a basin not distant from the Kibaran continental land mass.In this area the geological units containing the igneous rocks are not affected by significant tangential tectonism and so the present structural relationships are relatively undisturbed compared with those which prevailed during the emplacement of the igneous rocks.  相似文献

A coal-based thermal power plant is situated on the bank of the Pandu River, which is a tributary to the Ganges near Kanpur. River sediments downstream from the ash pond outfall are contaminated by fly ash. In order to establish the role of soils and sediments in retaining fly ash-derived heavy metals, copper was investigated as a model metal. A maximum concentration of 70 ppm Cu could be leached from the fly ash, confirming that it is a major source of this metal. Soil samples and river sediments were examined for Cu adsorption in the natural state as well as after treatment with H2O2, EDTA, and H2O2 followed by EDTA. The organic fraction of the samples was determined, and it had a major control on removal of Cu from a solution with 10–4 M initial concentration. Further characterization of organic matter indicated that with reference to natural samples, the humic acid fraction had a copper enrichment factor in the range 9.1–15.1. The factor for fulvic acids, in contrast, was between 3.5 and 5.5. This leads to the conclusion that river deposits rich in humic acids would withstand relatively high metal loads. Only when the metal input exceeds the maximum retention potential, would the metal be fractionated into the aqueous phase and act as a potential biocide.  相似文献

遥感影像是地表综合自然景观电磁波辐射特征的图像显示,是地质体在地表的直接反映。遥感解译"五要素"所反映的地质信息真实直观,这些信息在地质找矿工作中,具有指导意义。运用江西铜多金属主要矿集区ETM+/TM遥感数据影像进行地质异常解译,如隐伏岩体、火山机构、控矿构造、环形构造、特殊地层以及热变质晕、蚀变晕等。解译结果发现:多组线性构造交汇部位,或线性构造密集部位,是岩体-矿床产出的有利地段,而规模较大的隐伏斑岩体,在影像图上往往显示环形特征,特别是出现子母环或套叠环(环中环或同心环)时,寻找铜多金属矿床意义更大。  相似文献

尼木矿集区是冈底斯铜矿带重要的铜矿区之一,采用基于GIS的证据权法对该区进行成矿预测。介绍了证据权法的基本理论,对研究区进行综合致矿信息提取,分别从地质、化探和遥感数据中提取致矿异常信息,将不同异常信息作为成矿预测证据因子,并对相应证据因子进行分析和筛选。选择10个证据因子进行成矿预测,最终得出A类远景区1处,B类远景区5处,C类远景区10处。  相似文献

Application of Some Complexing Ion Exchangers for Copper Recovery from Natural Water and Wastewater The rational use of water resources is one of the urgent environmental control problems. These problems can be solved by the treatment of sewage. Removal of different non‐ferrous heavy metal ions from wastewater is of great importance. Besides, the selective complexing ion exchangers are of interest because of their good sorption properties. The present paper is devoted to the study of some complexing resins for copper recovery from natural water and sewage. The following carboxylic resins were studied: the cation exchangers KB‐2T, KB‐4 and the amphoteric ion exchangers ANKB 35, AMF‐2T, and AMF‐2S (manufacturer – “TOKEM” company, Kemerovo, Russia). The exchangers investigated differed from each other both by their functional groups and by their matrix physical structures. The copper recovery from CuCl2‐, CuSO4‐, and Cu(NO3)2‐solutions was studied in batch‐experiments (in presence of NaCl, Na2SO4, and NaNO3). The initial copper concentration in the solutions was 0.0002...0.008 mol/L; pH values were 1.0...5.0. After equilibrium (24 h) the resins were separated from the solution. The copper concentration in the solutions after the sorption was determined by the photometrical method with pyridylazoresorcin (λ = 500 nm). On the basis of the experimental data distribution ratio, the separation factors, equilibrium constants, and stability constants of copper complexes in the exchanger phase were calculated. It was found out in this work that the amphoteric ion exchanger AMF‐2T of macroreticular structure is the most effective for the copper sorption from sewage.  相似文献

南祁连党河南山地区地处南祁连重要成矿带,金铜矿化广布,该矿化与中酸性花岗岩类关系密切.为揭示区域成矿地质背景,查明大地构造的时空演化,并深入研究该地区金铜矿化的成矿规律与控矿因素,对区内主要花岗岩体及其金铜矿化进行了系统的地质地球化学研究.研究表明,区内花岗岩类岩体包括扎子沟岩体、鸡叫沟岩体及贾公台岩体.综合岩相学、岩石化学及微量稀土元素地球化学特征,区内3个岩体均形成于I型活动陆缘环境,为中南祁连造山带加里东期构造岩浆活动的产物.扎子沟岩体与该区金铜矿化不构成物源关系,但其岩浆期后热水溶液可造成火山岩系金、铜组分活化迁移,并在有利构造场所富集成矿,鸡叫沟岩体和贾公台岩体分别是黑刺沟金矿和贾公台金矿的控矿母岩.  相似文献

哈日却录铜矿区位于东昆仑南缘布青山构造混杂岩带,NWW向断裂构造发育,岩浆活动频繁,岩浆热液为成矿元素的活化、迁移、富集创造了条件。研究区划分出2个矿段8条铜矿体,其中Ⅰ-2号矿体是区内主要矿体,赋矿岩石为碎裂状玄武岩、粉砂岩,矿体呈似层状,铜含量0.21%~2.22%,平均品位0.84%,主要有黄铜矿化、黄铁矿化、孔雀石化,铜矿体主要赋存于马尔争组玄武岩夹薄层砂岩中,认为是下步找矿的主攻层位。  相似文献
