This short technical note describes a simple technique for synthesising an optimised binary glass for performing coarse mass table calibrations of secondary ion mass spectrometers. A Ge-Bi glass doped with five selected trace elements was used to anchor the entire mass table up to m/z ≥ 209 at an accuracy of < 0.5 dalton. Using this material it has been possible to calibrate coarsely the mass table of a Cameca ims 6f instrument in less than five minutes, thereby greatly simplifying the switch from low mass range to high mass range measurements. Although not suitable for the quantification of geological materials, the ease of synthesis and its utility for rapidly performing what is an otherwise time consuming process makes this material a useful tool for SIMS instruments which offer a multiple mass range capability.  相似文献

河流是陆地与海洋相互作用的重要纽带,查明陆地河流活性物质入海通量是当前生态地球化学评价的一项重要任务。文中选择了中国东部入海河流中主要的35条河流,分丰、枯水期系统采集了悬浮物、过滤水、底泥等样品,利用河流径流量参数,计算得到了各河流主要重金属及营养元素的年入海通量及陆地河流年入海总通量,确定了各元素水溶态及悬浮物态迁移入海量的比例,为陆海相互作用研究、浅海生态地球化学评价提供了重要依据。  相似文献

采用堆载法进行天然状态与饱和状态下强风化角岩边坡岩体的现场直接剪切试验,获得不同正应力水平下剪切应力-剪切变形关系曲线和剪切强度参数,对其剪切应力-剪切变形关系曲线特征和不同正应力作用下剪应力随正应力的变化规律以及水-力耦合作用对剪切强度与变形特性影响进行了分析。试验结果表明:岩体峰值剪切强度和屈服剪切强度均随正应力的增大而增大;天然状态和饱水状态下剪应力随不同正应力的变化趋势基本相同;岩体剪切强度随含水率的增大而减小,在低法向应力下尤其敏感;水对岩体强度参数中黏聚力c的弱化作用更加明显,同时加大了岩体变形量,延长了岩体变形过程;通过现场直剪试验测得的法向变形可以估算岩体的压缩模量,为边坡稳定性分析提供参数。  相似文献

For the purpose of testing our previously described theory of SO2 scavenging a laboratory investigation was carried out in the UCLA 33 m long rainshaft. Drops with radii between 250 and 2500 m were allowed to come to terminal velocity, after which they passed through a chamber of variable length filled with various SO2 concentrations in air. After falling through a gas separating chamber consisting of a fluorocarbon gas the drops were collected and analyzed for their total S content in order to determine the rate of SO 2 absorption.The SO2 concentration in air studied ranged between 1 and 60% (v). Such relatively large concentrations were necessary due to the short times the drops were exposed to SO2 in the present setup. The present experimental results were therefore not used to simulate atmospheric conditions but rather to test our previously derived theory which is applicable to any laboratory or atmospheric condition. Comparison of our studies with the results from our theory applied to our laboratory conditions led to predicted values for the S concentration in the drops which agreed well with those observed if the drops had radii smaller than 500 m. In order to obtain agreement between predicted and observed S concentrations in larger drops, an empirically derived eddy diffusivity for SO2 in water had to be included in the theory to take into account the effect of turbulent mixing inside such large drops.In a subsequent set of experiments, drops initially saturated with S (IV) were allowed to fall through S-free air to determine the rate of SO 2 desorption. The results of these studies also agreed well with the results of our theoretical model, thus justifying the reversibility assumption made in our theoretical models.In a final set of experiments, the effects of oxidation on SO2 absorption was studied by means of drops containing various amounts of H2O2. For comparable exposure times to SO2, the S concentration in drops with H2O2 was found to be up to 10 times higher than the concentration in drops in which no oxidation occurred.  相似文献

This study developed a finite element method with the effect of soil–fluid–structure interaction to calculate bridge natural frequencies. The finite element model includes bridge girders, piers, foundations, soil, and water. The effective mass above the soil surface was then used to find the first natural frequency in each direction. A field experiment was performed to validate that the natural frequencies calculated using the proposed finite element method had acceptable accuracy. The calculated natural frequencies with the fluid–structure interaction effect are always smaller than those without this effect. However, the frequency change due to the fluid effect is not obvious, so using the soil–structure interaction model is accurate enough in the bridge natural frequency analysis. The trend of the frequency decreases with the increase of the scour depth, but the curve is not smooth because of non-uniform foundation sections and layered soils. However, when the scour depth is such that pile cap is exposed, the changes in natural frequency with the scour depth are more obvious, and this is useful for measurement of the depth using bridge natural frequencies.  相似文献

建立了以纳米二氧化钛(TiO2)作为吸附剂填充微柱,电感耦合等离子体质谱(ICP-MS)法测试Cu^2+,Cd^2+,Pb^2+和Ni^2+离子的分析方法.考察了不同pH值、洗脱液浓度、样品流速、体积和外源干扰离子的影响,实验结果表明在pH值8~10范围内待测离子可被TiO2定量吸附,2.0molL^-1HNO3可将吸附在微柱上的待测物完全洗脱,优化条件下本方法对溶液中Cu^2+,Cd^2+,Ph^2+和M^2+离子检出限分别为:0.02,0.01,0.01,0.02μgL~,相对标准偏差小于2%(n=7),富集系数50倍.对水系沉积物标准物质(GBW07310)的测定值与标准值相一致,方法具有简便、快速,灵敏度高,重现性好的优点,可满足河口水体与沉积物样品中痕量金属元素定量分析的要求.  相似文献

本文以德国低轨道卫星CHAMP为例,联合考虑地球扁率和大气阻力摄动的影响,对相应摄动方程进行数值积分,计算轨道根数变化,并进而计算得到卫星空间位置,由此模拟考察大气阻力引起的轨道高度衰减.模拟中使用综合考虑了太阳辐射和磁暴等多种因素影响的最新国际大气标准JB2008模式来计算热层大气密度. 选取CHAMP卫星轨道高度自然衰减(无点火提升卫星高度操作)的2005全年进行模拟;为了考察不同年份阻力系数的可能变化,对2002年1—3月处在较大高度的轨道也进行了模拟.考虑到CHAMP卫星的特殊几何构形及飞行高度的热层温度条件,取阻力系数大于2.8,并在一定范围内变化,以求得模拟与实际轨道衰减符合较好.结果表明,对于2005年,阻力系数为2.91时模拟得到的轨道高度的衰减与实际轨道衰减符合得最好,模拟与实际轨道半长轴全年的标准偏差为81m;在卫星高度稍高的2002年,模拟的最佳阻力系数为3.0;模拟所得最佳阻力系数值比传统使用的值2.2大30%以上.由于在模拟中忽略了高阶保守力分量,所得近/远地点高度没有出现实际轨道所显示的周期性起伏.  相似文献

Earthflow‐type landslides are persistent natural hazards having deep socio‐economic and environmental consequences. They have significantly contributed to the geomorphic evolution of mountainous slopes in Europe since the Late Glacial. An understanding of their complex kinematics is crucial to better constrain the processes governing their occurrence and mobility. In this work we explored the possibility to quantify displacement vectors on a spatially distributed basis and to quantify volumetric transfer at the slope scale with regard to a large flow‐type landslide located in the northern Apennines of Italy. For this purpose we applied digital image correlation (DIC) and digital elevation model differencing (DEMoD) techniques to multi‐temporal airborne LiDAR surveys of 2006, 2007 and 2009. The DIC was applied to greyscale slope gradient maps retrieved after precise co‐registration of LiDAR surveys. Thereby, movement patterns over various sectors of the landslide were reconstructed and quantified, most notably up to 20 m in the head zone, up to 51 m in the lower main track, and up to about 27 m at the landslide toe. The DEMoD analysis revealed significant mass transfer from the source to the tracks and toe zone, with the upper flow tracks acting as temporal storage of large amounts of material. The mass balance indicated that significant amounts of advancing landslide debris were eroded by a local stream. An integrated analysis of DEMoD and DIC results allowed for a discussion of governing processes, such as the transition from slide to flow, the influence of underlying topography on earthflow mobility, and the role of undrained loading as a mechanism of toe zone reactivation. In conclusion, the successful application of DIC and DEMoD to the case study underlines the added value of high‐resolution DEMs in the analysis of earthflow kinematics toward a better understanding of their role in the geomorphic evolution of slopes. This paper presents a field study conducted in northwest Turkey and characterizes the NH3 concentration and emission measured in summer season from three chicken farms. The influence of environmental conditions on NH3 concentration and emission was also investigated in this study. Ammonia concentration, temperature, relative humidity and airflow rate were continuously recorded for four sequential days. The environmental conditions were measured using a multifunction temperature and humidity‐meter with a hot wire probe. Portable multiple gas detectors with electro‐chemical sensors were used to measure NH3 concentration. The NH3 emission rates for houses were calculated by multiplying simultaneously measured NH3 concentrations and air flow rates. The average daily mean (ADM) house concentrations of house 1 (H1), house 2 (H2), and house 3 (H3) were measured as 4.43, 3.71, and 6.20 ppm, respectively. NH3 concentration was inversely proportional to temperature (r = ?0.279), relative humidity (r = ?0.063) and airflow rate (r = ?0.554) for all monitored houses. The ADM house NH3 emission was 135 g/(h house) for H1, 255 g/(h house) for H2, and 117 g/(h house) for H3. The combined average emission rate in this study (0.26 g/(d bird)) was lower than the emission rate measured in chicken farms in the USA. However, our results were comparable to rates calculated in European studies because house design, ventilation system and bird diet applied in Turkish chicken farms are very similar to those employed in European countries. The NH3 emissions were significantly correlated to NH3 concentrations (r = 0.45, p ≤ 0.001) and airflow rates (r = 0.97, p ≤ 0.001). A clear diurnal pattern was obtained for NH3 concentrations rather than NH3 emissions at the end of the study.  相似文献
