The Koraput Alkaline Complex in the high-grade Eastern Ghats Belt, India, is synkinematically emplaced in a pull-apart structure and far from the Bastar cratonic margin. The suite comprises four distinct members, namely, mafic syenite, felsic syenite, nepheline syenite and perthite syenite. Fe-rich orthopyroxene rims on olivine in mafic syenite indicate iron-enrichment in the early stage of differentiation. With plagioclase of andesine composition it could be described as alkali-norite, the plutonic equivalent of hawiite. Felsic syenite with both alkali-feldspars and plagioclase of oligoclase composition could be described as two-feldspar syenite, the plutonic equivalent of mugearite. Albitic rims on nepheline indicates subsolvus reaction. Chemical trends in amphiboles and plagioclase feldspars, progressively more ferroan and more sodic respectively, are strong indications of mineral fractionation in the Koraput suite. Chemical trends in the variation diagrams are compatible with feldspar fractionation in the Koraput suite. A weak Fe-enrichment trend in the early stage of differentiation, as observed in the AFM diagram, is compatible with that of the alkali-basalt series. Nb anomalies, both positive and negative, are indicative of crustal contamination as expected in synkinematic plutons. In terms of Gondwana assembly and break up, the alkaline complexes are supposed to represent rift-related magmatism along the continental margin. In spite of petrological evidence of the magmatic character of the Koraput Complex, anorogenic setting is contra-indicated by mesoscopic and microscopic fabrics, more akin to synkinematic intrusion during F 2 folding in the host country rocks. The Proterozoic alkaline complexes in the Eastern Ghats Belt, could alternatively trace the path of moving Gondwana continent over mantle plumes. 相似文献

We determined the mineralogical and petrological characteristics of ultramafic rocks dredged from two oceanic core complexes: the Mado Megamullion and 23°30′N non-transform offset massif, which are located within the Shikoku back-arc basin in the Philippine Sea. The ultramafic rocks are strongly serpentinized, but can be classified as harzburgite/lherzolite or dunite, based on relict primary minerals and their pseudomorphs. Strongly elongated pyroxene porphyroclasts with undulatory extinction indicate high-temperature (≥700 °C) strain localization on a detachment fault within the upper mantle at depths below the brittle–viscous transition. During exhumation, the peridotites underwent impregnation by magmatic or hydrothermal fluids, lizardite/chrysotile serpentinization at ≤300 °C, antigorite crystallization, and silica metasomatism that formed talc. These features indicate that the detachment fault zones formed a fluid pathway and facilitated a range of fluid–peridotite interactions. 相似文献

采用715m埋深的矿井巷道揭露的煤系地层和正断层作为试验对象,由巷道和其侧帮水平钻孔构成相互垂直的二条电法观测线,在断层下盘进行注水,时空域观测二条测线上岩体的地电场响应.试验中动态反演电阻率图像可以跟踪水体渗流运动过程,判定岩体中断层导水性能及其控水作用;自然电位随着岩体内注入水体逼近电极而上升,停止注水而下降,自然电位指示岩体水体渗流的波动规律;激励电流的升降与出水点位置相关,距离出水点越近激励电流上升越明显.试验表明对于受断层控制的深部复杂岩体的水体渗流,可以运用地电场的时空特性进行监测评价.动态地电场监测技术,可用于复杂岩体的导、隔水性能研究. 相似文献

中条山同善地区虎坪杂岩锆石U-Pb年龄、Hf同位素特征及地质意义 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
中条山地区是华北克拉通中部造山带的重要组成部分,区内前寒武纪地层广泛出露,新太古代地质体主要分布在北东走向的中条山主山脉和近东西向王屋山"同善天窗"内。"同善天窗"中主要出露虎坪花岗质片麻杂岩及宋家山群。虎坪杂岩中黑云斜长片麻岩的锆石U-Pb上交点年龄为(2 530±13)Ma,εHf(2 530Ma)为3.89~7.12;英云闪长岩207 Pb/206 Pb加权平均年龄为(2 551.4±2.7)Ma,εHf(t)为5.49~9.67。结合近年来华北克拉通新太古代晚期中部造山带镁铁质火山岩Nd同位素及遵化二辉橄榄岩的Hf同位素特征,推测华北克拉通中部造山带新太古代晚期地幔εHf(t)与εNd(t)具有一定的线性关系,中条山新太古代晚期地幔εHf(2.55Ga)为8.2~9.5,显示华北克拉通地幔在2.55Ga之前即发生过大规模的分异。虎坪变英云闪长岩幔源Hf同位素的特征需要新生玄武质地壳俯冲熔融,类似特征的花岗岩往往存在于洋内俯冲带或是洋脊俯冲的特殊构造环境;因此,虎坪英云闪长岩的产出可能代表了中条山2.55Ga的洋脊俯冲或是年轻洋壳的壳内俯冲事件。 相似文献

安徽寿县新元古界四十里长山组底部粉砂岩层中发现了一个滑塌-滑脱软沉积物变形复合构造,剖面观察显示,该沉积变形构造经历了滑塌变形、滑脱变形、震动液化变形等3次以上的变形过程,很好地保存了原始沉积面貌和沉积变形特征;分析该沉积变形构造的成因,发现变形构造属于软沉积物变形构造类型,形成于浅海陆棚边缘斜坡相带。引起软沉积物变形的动力是地震事件产生的多次震动波作用,造成软沉积物滑塌、滑脱褶皱、震动液化泄水等变形作用,形成了具有复杂变形特征的软沉积物变形复合体,是一次地震事件多次地震活动的沉积记录。 相似文献

Petrographic analysis of peraluminous metapelites from two separate regions of the Karakoram metamorphic complex, North Pakistan, has produced new insights into the P–T–t evolution of the deep crust along the south Asian margin before and after the India‐Asia collision. Average P–T estimates and pseudosection construction in the MnO–Na2O–CaO–K2O–FeO–MgO–Al2O3–SiO2–H2O–TiO2–Fe2O3 (MnNCKFMASHTO) system using THERMOCALC have provided prograde and peak metamorphic conditions and U–Pb geochronology of metamorphic monazite has provided age constraints. Two new events in the tectonothermal evolution of the Hunza Valley have been documented; an andalusite‐grade contact metamorphic event at 105.5 ± 0.8 Ma, at unknown P–T conditions, associated with the widespread subduction‐related granite magmatism before the India‐Asia collision, and a kyanite‐grade overprint of sillimanite‐grade rocks with peak P–T conditions of ~7.8 kbar, 645 °C at 28.2 ± 0.8 Ma associated with the ongoing India‐Asia collision. A kyanite‐grade event observed in the Baltoro region with similar peak P–T conditions (~7.4–8.0 kbar, ~640–660 °C) is interpreted to have occurred sometime after 21.8 ± 0.6 Ma, however, previous studies have suggested that this event commenced in the Baltoro as early as c. 28 Ma. A calculated prograde P–T path for this kyanite‐grade event in the Baltoro indicates that garnet first nucleated on an initially high geothermal gradient (~30 °C km?1) and grew during a significant increase in pressure of ~2.6 kbar over a temperature increase of ~100 °C. This event is thought to represent evidence for conductive heating of the middle crust during early stages of intrusion and lateral migration of the Baltoro batholith, with thermal conditions comparable with tectonic models of magmatic over‐accretion. 相似文献
