We define the chemical or compositional resolution required to measure the surface emission/deposition flux of trace constituents under different meteorological conditions by means of the eddy correlation, gradient, and conditional sampling techniques. These chemical resolutions are defined for the full range of different atmospheric conditions and are reported in terms of commonly measured micrometeorological parameters.The National Center for Atmospheric Research is sponsored by the National Science Foundation  相似文献

The range of chemical, biological, and meteorological processes contributing to the net exchange of trace chemical species between the atmosphere and the underlying surface is examined, in the context of a multiple-resistance exchange model. For those chemical species known to be always depositing, the resistance model provides a means to formulate appropriate deposition velocities in a convenient manner; however, extension to other situations is not straightforward. Field data indicate that the multiple-resistance approach is appropriate for application to assess the dry deposition of ozone and sulfur dioxide, but is not as appropriate for nitrogen dioxide. Data obtained over agricultural crops suggest that canopy factors frequently dominate the overall exchange process. A trial program of dry deposition measurement based on application of parameterized deposition velocities was initiated late in 1984, and has demonstrated shortcomings in under-standing concerning several factors, most importantly the roles of surface emissions and wetness, and the scaling-up of laboratory results to describe vegetative canopies.  相似文献

The interactions between overland flow hydraulics and sediment yield were studied in flume experiments on erodible soil surfaces covered by rock fragments. The high erodibility of a non-cohesive fine sediment (D50 + 0·09mm) permitted the effects of local turbulence and scour on sediment yield to be examined. Overland flow hydraulics and sediment yield were compared for experiments with pebble (D50 + 1·5cm) and cobble (D50 + 8·6cm) rock fragment covers. Cover percentages range from 0 to 99 per cent. Rock fragment size strongly affects the relations between flow hydraulics and rock fragment cover. For pebbles spatially-averaged hydraulic parameters (flow velocity, flow depth, effective flow width, unit discharge, total shear stress, Darcy-Weisbach friction factor, percentage grain friction and grain shear stress) vary most rapidly within cover percentages at low covers (power functions). In contrast, for cobbles these parameters vary most rapidly within cover percentages at high covers (exponential functions). As the type of the function that describes the relation between flow hydraulics and cover percentage can be deduced from the ratio of rock fragment height to flow depth, the continuity equation can be employed to determine the actual coefficients of the functions, provided the regression of one hydraulic parameter (e.g. flow velocity) with cover percentage is known and a good estimate exists for two values of another hydraulic variable for a low and a high cover percentage. The variation of sediment yield with cover percentage is also strongly dependent on rock fragment size, but neither the convex-upward relation for pebbles, nor the positive relation for cobbles can be solely attributed to the spatially averaged hydraulics of sheet-flow. Rock fragments induce local turbulence that leads to scour hole development on the stoss side of the rock fragments while deposition commonly occurs in the wake. This local scour and deposition substantially affects sediment yield. However, scour dimensions cannot be predicted by spatially averaged flow hydraulics. An adjustment of existing scour formulas that predict scour around bridge piers is suggested. Sediment yield from non-cohesive soils might then be estimated by a combination of sediment transport and scour formulas.  相似文献

The study of large-scale atmospheric turbulence and transport processes is of vital importance in the general circulation of the atmosphere. The governing equations of the power and cross-spectra for the atmospheric motion and transports in the domain of wave number frequency space have been derived. The contributions of the nonlinear interactions of the atmospheric waves in velocity and temperature fields to the conversion of kinetic and potential energies and to the meridional transports of angular momentum and sensible heat in the atmosphere have been discussed.  相似文献

The paper computed the spectra of velocity and temperature,and the cospectra of velocity and temperature by theobservational data of July,1990 in the suburbs of Tianjin.The results show that the characteristics of the atmosphericturbulence spectra over the suburbs are basically in accordance with some typical results over the flat terrain.But thescale,on which turbulence can satisfy the isotropic condition,over the suburbs is larger than over the flat terrain.Thespectrum peak frequency range is a bit narrower.The feature of the spectrum range in low frequency(LF)is out ofaccordance with that of the flat terrain either.  相似文献

Turbulence is known to enhance growth in microalgae. We studied the possible effects of the extra inorganic carbon supplied to the cultures when air bubbling is the source of turbulence. A set of experiments was carried out to separate the effects of the subsidiary action of agitation on growth from those due to possible carbon enrichment from air CO2 when air bubbling was the source of mixing. It was found that air bubbling does not induce an increase of the concentration of inorganic carbon in HCO 3 -enriched growth media, and that no differences appear between air-bubbled and CO2-free air-bubbled cultures. On the other hand, photosynthetic O2 was accumulated in the medium in non-mixed cultures, which showed higher respiration and lower photosynthetic rates, probably due to photoinhibition induced by oversaturation of O2. Growth rate, maximal cell density and photosynthetic efficiency were higher in aerated cultures than in non-aerated ones.  相似文献

We have applied a full-correlation analysis technique to the echo power fluctuations observed by the MU radar (35°N, 136°E), and analyzed the horizontal structure of the scattering pattern in the mesosphere as well as their horizontal motions. The velocity of the scattering pattern did not agree with the background wind velocity, but was associated with the horizontal propagating direction of a saturated inertia gravity wave identified in the wind field. The length of the long axis of the characteristic ellipse of the scattering pattern was approximately 50 km, and the direction was almost perpendicular to the propagating direction of the wave. The correlation time of the scattering pattern was approximately 700 s, which is much longer than the lifetime of the isolated turbulence itself. This implies that the observed scattering pattern is associated with a region where the saturated inertia gravity wave generates turbulence.  相似文献

河道中冰盖显著改变了水流流动结构.采用k-ε紊流模型建立了冰盖下水流流动垂向二维数值模型;根据量纲分析理论提出了流速分布规律的影响因素;针对各种因素的不同组合进行了数值计算,并对其流动特性如最大流速点位置、冰区及床面区平均流速等进行了分析研究;对冬季封冻河道的二点测流法精度进行了理论分析.研究结果表明,冰盖下水流的纵向流速在流动核心区并不遵循对数分布规律,同时揭示了冰盖底部与河床的相对粗糙比、河床相对粗糙度及雷诺数对流速分布规律的影响.  相似文献

华北地区燕山期岩浆活动热供给的初步数值模拟   总被引:7,自引:0,他引:7  
大陆地壳和地幔岩石圈形成之后,还可能再次有对流地幔的注入,对原有的陆壳和地幔岩石圈进行改造。华北克拉通于新太古—古元古代形成的陆壳和大陆根,在侏罗纪—白垩纪(J—K)的燕山期遭受重大改造,有对流地幔的一次重要注入。一维的数值模拟表明:(1)在1GPa条件下,1250℃底侵玄武岩对于初始温度400℃的英云闪长岩围岩的加热,并达到使其发生局部熔融作用,其纯的熔融量与纯的底侵玄武岩岩浆结晶的厚度的比值约为0·12;假设仅有25%的熔浆能够分离出来,则能够分离出的熔浆量与底侵玄武岩结晶总量比约为0·03。由此可以推测,如果要产生总量为1km厚的花岗岩的岩基需要33·3km的底侵玄武岩岩浆的全部结晶来提供热通量。而33·3km的底侵玄武岩岩浆可能需要约333km的软流圈物质参与(假设10%的局部熔融,并且全部熔体均能分离出来)。(2)华北克拉通燕山期玄武岩的喷发和地壳浅部辉长岩侵入体的发育,说明底侵的玄武岩岩浆不可能全部固结,从模拟的角度说明,燕山运动需要非常大量的底侵玄武岩岩浆和热通量的注入,才能诱发现今所观察到的燕山期强烈的岩浆活动。文中数值模拟工作对进一步理解“燕山运动”发生的深部背景即来源于软流圈的贡献有一定的意义。  相似文献

三江平原湿地CH4、N2O的地-气交换特征   总被引:11,自引:0,他引:11  
利用暗箱-气相色谱法对三江平原3种具有代表性的湿地类型(常年积水的毛果苔草沼泽、季节性积水的小叶章湿草甸和灌丛湿地)进行了为期两年的CH4和N2O现场同步观测。结果表明,湿地全年CH4和N2O通量有明显的季节和年际变化,与温度和土壤水分条件密切相关。在发生季节性干旱的年份,生长季(5月10月)CH4排放通量峰值出现在6月和8月,呈双峰型;而在降水充沛的年份,CH4排放通量峰值出现在6、7月份,呈单峰型。冰冻期(11月到次年4月)CH4排放通量十分的微弱,其中灌丛湿地表现为负排放。3种类型湿地N2O通量一般在非冰冻期表现为排放,呈双峰型,5月份融化期为第一个高峰期,7、8月为第二个高峰期,冰雪覆盖期表现为吸收。湿地CH4和N2O通量在春季的融冻期,存在此消彼长的现象。  相似文献
