Ultra-low velocity zones (ULVZs) provide important information on the composition and dynamics of the core-mantle boundary (CMB). However, their global distribution and characteristics are not well constrained, especially near African large low-shear velocity provinces (LLSVPs). Here, we used ScS precursor (SdS) and postcursor (ScscS) phases recorded by various seismic networks in Africa and South America to investigate the ULVZ characteristics underlying the South Atlantic Ocean. We found no evidence of ULVZs near the SE boundary of South America, but an ULVZ was found within the SW boundary of the African LLSVP, with thicknesses ranging from 11–18 km and reductions in S-wave velocities of 18%–34%. Our results, combined with the global distribution of ULVZs, suggest that thermal activity may be essential to ULVZ formation. Moreover, subducted slab and mantle flow may also play a key role, depending on the location of the ULVZs.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

The Changchun-Yanji belt recorded widespread Permo-Triassic magmatism, but their origins remain unclear, inhibiting a comprehensive understanding of the magmatic response to the final closure of the Paleo-Asian ocean in the eastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt (CAOB). Here, we present new geochronological, geochemical, and Hf isotopic data for the Permo-Triassic plutons from Northern Liaoning province, NE China. Combined the published ages with our new data, the Permo-Triassic magmatism in the eastern CAOB can be divided into five episodes: early Permian (293–274 Ma), middle–late Permian (270–257 Ma), latest late Permian–Middle Triassic (255–242 Ma), Late Triassic (240–215 Ma), and latest Late Triassic (209–200 Ma). The middle Permian and Late Triassic mafic plutons (i.e. ~266 Ma Mengjiagou gabbro–diorite, ~240 Ma Jiancaicun gabbro and ~224 Ma Shudetun gabbro-diorite) contain relatively high TFe2O3, MgO, Cr and Ni contents with positive εHf(t) values (+1.2 to +7.2), suggesting a depleted mantle origin. These mafic rocks together with the coeval granitoids make up typical bimodal associations, suggesting that they were formed under an extensional environment. The conclusions are also supported by occurrence of A-type granites during 270–257 Ma and 240–215 Ma. By contrast, the granitoids of 255–242 Ma in the eastern CAOB, including the Jianshanzi (~251 Ma) and Daganhe (~242 Ma) monzogranites, show typical geochemical features of adakitic granites, with high Sr/Y ratios and negative εHf(t) values (–8.6 to – 22.0), suggesting that the magmas were generated through partial melting of thickened ancient lower crust. Combined with previous studies, a four-stage tectonic evolution scenario was proposed: (1) active continental margin stage during 293–274 Ma; (2) continuing subduction resulted in the initiation collision, moderate crustal thickening, and slab break-off during 270–257 Ma; (3) final closure of the Paleo-Asian Ocean associated with continued crustal thickening occurred during 255–242 Ma; (4) lithospheric delamination in a post-collisional extensional environment occurred during 240–215 Ma.  相似文献

基于桃花嘴矿区地下洞室爆破振动现场试验的实测数据,发现了地下洞室爆破开挖诱发边墙质点峰值振动速度传播衰减的特点,即爆源近区和边墙中心区域具有更大的放大效应。建立了四边简支板的动力学模型,进一步结合量纲分析法,推导出考虑边墙四边约束的地下洞室爆破边墙质点峰值振动速度预测公式。将实测数据分别代入萨道夫斯基公式和推导公式进行线性回归运算,得到萨道夫斯基公式预测值和推导公式预测值的平均误差分别为30.7%和5.1%。结果表明,该公式能较准确地反映地下洞室爆破边墙质点峰值振动速度存在的放大效应,特别可以精确预测放大效应显著区域的爆破振动峰值速度,为更好地控制边墙爆破振动损伤提供了参考价值。  相似文献

鲁西地区位于华北克拉通东部,是研究区域太古宙演化的重要地区。以鲁西地区西南部出露的正长-二长花岗岩为研究对象,系统开展了岩石学、地球化学、锆石U-Pb年龄与Hf同位素组成研究。结果表明,该正长-二长花岗岩为钙碱性、过铝质。锆石U-Pb年龄揭示正长-二长花岗岩侵位于~2 540~2 530 Ma;锆石Hf同位素组成表明其主体由~2.70 Ga的TTG类岩石熔融形成,但再循环的古老地壳组分也参与了岩浆产生过程。微量元素和同位素组成模拟计算结果表明,正长-二长花岗岩是由97%的新生TTG地壳组分部分熔融和3%的变质表壳岩部分熔融物混合形成。结合区域特征,我们认为正长-二长花岗岩形成于伸展构造环境中,该区新太古代晚期岩浆作用与板片俯冲后回撤作用有关,板片回撤过程所致的软流圈上涌为此类岩石的岩浆产生提供了热源。  相似文献

提出了一种新型减震结构体系——楼板隔震消能结构体系。该结构体系的特点是:竖向荷载传递途径与传统结构相同,但在楼板与主体结构水平承重构件之间设置高阻尼隔震层,在楼板与主体结构竖向承重构件之间留出空隙,并在其中安装消能阻尼器,使结构在发生水平振动时楼板与主体结构之间能够发生一定的相对运动,产生隔震和消能作用,减小结构的地震反应。本文给出了单层楼板隔震消能结构的运动微分方程,以及基底输入谐和振动时的结构传递函数,并分析了结构参数对传递函数的影响。  相似文献

During the Late Palaeozoic Variscan Orogeny, Cambro‐Ordovician and/or Neoproterozoic metasedimentary rocks of the Albera Massif (Eastern Pyrenees) were subject to low‐pressure/high‐temperature (LPHT) regional metamorphism, with the development of a sequence of prograde metamorphic zones (chlorite‐muscovite, biotite, andalusite‐cordierite, sillimanite and migmatite). LPHT metamorphism and magmatism occurred in a broadly compressional tectonic regime, which started with a phase of southward thrusting (D1) and ended with a wrench‐dominated dextral transpressional event (D2). D1 occurred under prograde metamorphic conditions. D2 started before the P–T metamorphic climax and continued during and after the metamorphic peak, and was associated with igneous activity. P–T estimates show that rocks from the biotite‐in isograd reached peak‐metamorphic conditions of 2.5 kbar, 400 °C; rocks in the low‐grade part of the andalusite‐cordierite zone reached peak metamorphic conditions of 2.8 kbar, 535 °C; rocks located at the transition between andalusite‐cordierite zone and the sillimanite zone reached peak metamorphic conditions of 3.3 kbar, 625 °C; rocks located at the beginning of the anatectic domain reached peak metamorphic conditions of 3.5 kbar, 655 °C; and rocks located at the bottom of the metamorphic series of the massif reached peak metamorphic conditions of 4.5 kbar, 730 °C. A clockwise P–T trajectory is inferred using a combination of reaction microstructures with appropriate P–T pseudosections. It is proposed that heat from asthenospheric material that rose to shallow mantle levels provided the ultimate heat source for the LPHT metamorphism and extensive lower crustal melting, generating various types of granitoid magmas. This thermal pulse occurred during an episode of transpression, and is interpreted to reflect breakoff of the underlying, downwarped mantle lithosphere during the final stages of oblique continental collision.  相似文献

天山造山带自新元古代以来,经历了漫长而复杂的俯冲增生造山作用和陆内构造活化过程,属于典型的复合型造山带。基于近年研究进展,本文对伊犁、境内外中天山和南天山构造带前寒武纪基底、古生代沉积序列、多期陆缘弧岩浆岩和构造缝合带的变形变质特征、形成环境和年代学等进行了总结分析,梳理了天山古生代增生造山作用中的三次重要构造转换事件及其地质记录。① 伊犁南北两缘、中天山、南天山和塔里木北缘,均发育中奥陶世—志留纪的大陆弧岩浆作用,伊犁北缘、南天山 塔里木北部早古生代沉积环境发生显著变化,表明天山 塔里木北缘在中—晚奥陶世发生了从被动陆缘向活动陆缘的转换。② 伊犁南、北两缘和中天山的早古生代岩层在晚志留世—早泥盆世普遍发生了强烈的韧性变形和角闪岩相变质作用,其上不整合覆盖有弱变形未变质的晚泥盆世—石炭纪火山 沉积地层;该区域不整合是哈萨克斯坦微大陆拼合事件在研究区的构造响应,也标志着准噶尔洋和南天山洋的俯冲方式在泥盆纪发生了由前进式(东太平洋型)向后撤式(西太平洋型)的构造转换,导致伊犁和中天山在晚泥盆世—石炭纪经历了伸展背景下的大陆弧岩浆作用,在南天山 塔里木北缘则形成了一系列弧后有限洋盆。③ 天山各构造单元及其边界缝合带中普遍发育晚石炭世逆冲推覆构造和二叠纪走滑韧性剪切带、晚石炭世—早二叠世滑塌堆积和二叠纪后造山岩浆岩,指示晚石炭世—早二叠世发生了由汇聚造山向陆内构造的转换。这些构造转换事件是认识古亚洲洋各分支洋盆从初始俯冲、俯冲方式转换到俯冲终结过程的基础,也是探讨增生造山动力学的关键。  相似文献

A Newtonian fluid model is proposed to describe the oblique subduction of a planar 2-D slab. The slab is assumed to subduct in response to the ridge push force exerted along the trench, the slab pull force at the downdip of the slab, the gravitational body force within the slab, and the frictional resistance force at the upper surface of the slab. Because the slab motion along strike is being resisted by the frictional resistance at the interplate coupling area while the slab motion along the trench normal is being maintained by the gravitational pulling, the slab turns gradually toward the trench normal direction as it subducts. This model offers an alternative explanation for earthquake slip partitioning, the observation that the earthquake slip vectors deflect away from the relative plate motion direction toward the trench normal direction along most of the oblique subduction zones worldwide. Numerical models suggest that slip partitioning caused by slab deformation could be as much as 30% at 100 km downdip of the slab. The slab viscosity, the plate coupling width, the interplate resistance coefficient, the slab pull force, and the gravitational body force are all important in determining the geometry of the slab subduction.  相似文献

采用有限元方法,改变结构的跨度和层数,对无边梁的板柱-剪力墙结构、带边梁的板柱-剪力墙结构和框架-剪力墙结构的动力特性进行对比分析。指出水平荷载作用下无边梁的板柱-剪力墙结构的侧移曲线是弯曲型的,而带边梁的板柱-剪力墙结构的侧移曲线是弯剪型,并且边梁可以有效提高板柱-剪力墙结构侧向刚度。  相似文献
