基于作息空间思想的人口统计数据空间化方法

探讨了基于作息空间思想的人口统计数据空间化方法。定义居住和工作的活动空间范围为作息空间,并结合土地利用类型数据和泰森多边形构建了作息空间,以作息空间人口密度作为人口空间分布的表达方式。对辽宁省2005年人口统计数据进行了实例分析,精度优于传统的面积权重内插法,结果的地图渲染能够表现受自然因素和社会经济因素影响的人口分布特征。该方法不涉及复杂的权重计算过程,也可以避免主观因素的干扰,简单易行,有较强的实用性。     

The Elementary Social Studies: Sense and Nonsense in Integration

Abstract

The ultimate goal of all geographic education is to have our students think geographically for life. To this end, the five geographic skills sets allow teachers to use the inquiry approach to more accurately observe whether or not geographic thinking is actually taking place. As essential components of these geographic skills, fieldwork, journaling, and stories based on the field experience have proven to be effective tools of inquiry. This article demonstrates how a journal, kept by the author while on an advanced alliance summer institute to Russia in 1996, was used to write an original short story based on the author's fieldwork there. The author's experiences model the five geographic skills sets in developing lesson plans for the original short story, The Dragon and the Anchor. These activities allow the students to sharpen their geographic skills and develop a sense of place by studying the changes that have occurred in Russia since the fall of communism in 1991.     

Bringing the other into political ecology: Reflecting on preoccupations in a research field

For all its vitality political ecology often appears to be a project in which work by Anglo‐Americans in particular, if it is not privileged, certainly predominates. This trend reflects wider language and intellectual tendencies in human geography and the social sciences that distort the development of the field by downplaying or obscuring the contributions of many non‐Anglo‐Americans and by naturalizing Anglo‐American assumptions at the heart of research. The latter in turn determine what constitutes ‘good’ work – even as there is no single definition of political ecology. Arguing against this tendency, this paper draws on postcolonial thinking to emphasize the need to reassess and reorient the field as ‘other’ political ecologies are feasible and desirable.     

最新中国陆地数字高程基准模型:重力似大地水准面CNGG2011

本文回顾了近20年国内外国家局部大地水准面模型研究的概况和发展背景,采用Stokes-Helmert方法,计算了一个新的2′×2′中国重力和1985国家高程基准似大地水准面数值模型（CNGG2011）,采用了1百万余陆地重力数据和SRTM 7″.5×7″.5地形高数据,以及649个B级GPS水准点数据。CNGG2011平均精度为±0.13m,东部地区±0.07m,西部地区±0.14m。各省区局部似大地水准面平均精度为±0.06m,东部为±0.05m,西部为±0.11m。西藏精度为±0.22m。本文还讨论了重力大地水准面与GPS水准的关系,提出了今后进一步精化我国高程基准大地水准面模型的构想。

水电工程一般建在深山峡谷中,陡坎多、高差大,不利于几何水准测量。三角高程测量不受地形起伏限制,外业测量工作量小、速度快,作业人员少,在水电工程低精度高程测量中应用广泛。怎样提高三角高程测量精度,一直是大家关注的问题。本文介绍了溪洛渡水电站三角高程测量的实践经验供大家借鉴。     

广州市第二次全国土地调查1：2000土地利用现状图输出

标准分幅土地利用现状图制作与输出是广州市第二次全国土地调查的一项重要工作。由于国家、省没有1：2000土地利用现状图的标准或技术规程,根据我市作业模式、数据特点,制定了技术要求,开发了由建库数据到制图数据的转换程序,依据上交给国家、省的数据库成果,完成了全市十区两市10225幅图的电子数据制作,并打印纸质图件归档。     

New brown dwarf candidates in the Pleiades

We have performed deep, wide‐field imaging on a ∼0.4 deg² field in the Pleiades (Melotte 22). The selected field was not yet target of a deep search for low mass stars and brown dwarfs. Our limiting magnitudes are R ∼ 22 mag and I ∼ 20 mag, sufficient to detect brown dwarf candidates down to 40 M_J. We found 197 objects, whose location in the (I, R – I) color magnitude diagram is consistent with the age and the distance of the Pleiades. Using CTK R and I as well as JHK photometry from our data and the 2MASS survey we were able to identify 7 new brown dwarf candidates. We present our data reduction technique, which enables us to resample, calibrate, and co‐add many images by just two steps. We estimate the interstellar extinction and the spectral type from our optical and the NIR data using a two‐dimensional χ² fitting (© 2009 WILEY‐VCH Verlag GmbH & Co. KGaA, Weinheim)
