广西北海涠洲岛是我国面积最大的第四纪火山岩海岛,岛内出露的最新一次火山喷发产物为碧玄质岩石,它覆盖于晚更新世湖光岩组(Q3h)层状凝灰岩地层之上。在该火山岩中发现有橄榄岩包体,罕见的是,包体是以火山角砾的形式见于碧玄质火山碎屑流之中,故应是被炸碎的包体碎块,而非原始态包体。这是迄今为止较为特殊的一种橄榄岩包体产状类型,其原始态包体的岩石类型可能为方辉橄榄岩和纯橄岩。岩石结构及探针数据均表明该橄榄岩包体来自岩石圈地幔。包体的温压估算结果为960~1040℃和1.3GPa,对应的稳定深度约40km。此外,由于包体来源深度远小于其寄主碧玄质火山岩浆的来源深度(大于99km),表明涠洲岛地区第四纪火山碎屑流中的橄榄岩包体是地幔柱来源的碧玄质岩浆在上升经过岩石圈地幔约40km深度时捕获的偶然包体,并在就位前经历过炸碎。  相似文献

本文的研究对象是9个来自安徽女山新生代玄武岩的橄榄岩包体,利用激光氟化技术系统分析了橄榄石、单斜辉石和斜方辉石的氧同位素比值;利用LA-ICPMS技术分析了单斜辉石的微量元素组成。结果显示,女山橄榄岩存在辉石与橄榄石之间的氧同位素不平衡分馏现象,其中△Cpx-Ol18O(=δ18OCpx-δ18OOl)出现低至-0.5‰的负值;含角闪石包体中的单斜辉石明显富集大离子亲石元素(LILE,如Sr、Th、LREE)和亏损高场强元素(HFSE,如Nb、Zr、Ti)。氧同位素的数据表明,女山上地幔曾经经历过俯冲洋壳流体参与的交代作用,根据单斜辉石和橄榄石之间氧同位素分馏值△Cpx-Ol18O与包体形成深度之间的负相关性,提出了一个“上升 缓冲”的流体交代模型。虽然微量元素特征也表明女山上地幔受到过地壳流体的影响,但是氧同位素的不平衡分馏和LILE的富集/HFSE的亏损并不是同步的,对这种现象的可能解释是:引起氧同位素不平衡分馏的交代作用和造成女山单斜辉石微量元素特征的交代作用不是同一期的,即女山上地幔曾经发生过至少2次交代事件。  相似文献

We report the field, petrographic and mineral chemical characteristics of relict super‐silicic (=majoritic) garnet microstructures from the Otrøy peridotites in the Western Gneiss Region, Norway. The evidence for the former existence of super‐silicic garnet consists of two‐pyroxene exsolution microstructures from garnet. Estimates of the initial composition of the super‐silicic garnet imply pressures of 6–6.5 GPa, indicating that the Otrøy garnet peridotites were derived from depths >185 km. The garnet peridotites consist of inter‐banded variable compositions with c. 50% garnet peridotite and 50% garnet‐free peridotite. Two distinct garnet types were identified: (a) normal matrix garnet, grain‐size ≤4 mm, and (b) large isolated single garnet crystals and/or (polycrystalline) garnet nodules up to 10 cm in size. Large garnet nodules occur only within limited bands within the garnet peridotites. The relicts of super‐silicic garnet were exclusively found in some (not all) of the larger garnet nodules. Petrographic observations revealed that the microstructure of nodular garnet consists of the following four characteristic elements. (1) Individual garnet nodules are polycrystalline, with grain sizes of 2–8 mm. Garnet grain boundaries are straight with well‐defined triple junctions. (2) Some garnet triple junctions and garnet grain boundaries are decorated by interstitial orthopyroxene. (3) Cores of larger polycrystalline garnet contain two‐pyroxene exsolution microstructures. (4) Precipitation‐free rims (2 mm thick) surround garnet cores containing the exsolved pyroxene microstructure. Pyroxene exsolution from super‐silicic garnet was subsequently followed by brittle–ductile deformation of garnet. Both exsolved pyroxene needles and laths become undulous or truncated by fractures. Simultaneous garnet plasticity is indicated by the occurrence of high densities of naturally decorated dislocations. Transmission electron microscopy observations indicate that decoration is due to Ti‐oxide precipitation. Estimates of the P–T conditions for mineral chemical equilibration were obtained from geothermobarometry. The mineral compositions equilibrated at mantle conditions around 805±40 °C and 3.2±0.2 GPa. These P–T estimates correspond to cold continental lithosphere conditions at depths of around 105 km. From a combination of both depth estimates it can be concluded that the microstructural memory of the rock extends backwards to twice as great a depth range as obtained by thermobarometric methods. Available geochronological and geochemical data of Norwegian garnet peridotites suggest a multi‐stage, multi‐orogenic exhumation history.  相似文献

Abstract Peridotite xenoliths from the subarc mantle, which have been rarely documented, are described from Iraya volcano of the Luzon arc, the Philippines, and are discussed in the context of wedge-mantle processes. They are mainly harzburgite, with subordinate dunite, and show various textures from weakly porphyroclastic (C-type) to extremely fine-grained equigranular (F-type). Textural characteristics indicate a transition from the former to the latter by recrystallization. The F-type peridotite has inclusion-rich fine-grained olivine and radially aggregated orthopyroxene, being quite different in texture from ordinary mantle-derived peridotites previously documented. Despite their strong textural contrast, the two types do not show any systematic difference in modal composition. The harzburgite of C-type has ordinary mantle peridotite mineralogy; olivine is mostly Fo91–92 and chromian spinel mostly has Cr#s (= Cr/[Cr + Al] atomic ratios) from 0.3 to 0.6. Olivine is slightly more Fe-rich (Fo89–91) and spinel is more enriched in Cr (the Cr#, 0.4–0.8) and Fe3+ in F-type peridotites than in C-type harzburgite. Orthopyroxene in F-type peridotites is relatively low in CaO (<1 wt%), Al2O3 (<2 wt%) and Cr2O3 (<0.4 wt%). The F-type peridotite was possibly formed from the C-type one by recrystallization including local dissolution and precipitation of orthopyroxene assisted by fluid (or melt) of subduction origin. Textural characteristics, however, indicate a deserpentinization origin from abyssal serpentinite of which protolith was a C-type peridotite. In this scenario the initial abyssal serpentinite was possibly dehydrated due to an initiation of magmatic activity beneath an incipient oceanic arc like Batan Island. The F-type peridotite is characteristic of the upper mantle of island arc, especially of incipient arc.  相似文献

雅鲁藏布江蛇绿岩带内多个地幔橄榄岩体产有金刚石、碳硅石等异常矿物组合,为了进一步探讨这些异常矿物形成的物理化学条件,在前人已有的研究基础上,对泽当地幔岩体中526 kg的方辉橄榄岩样品开展人工重砂矿物学研究工作。研究表明,同雅鲁藏布江蛇绿岩带内的其他岩体相似,泽当地幔橄榄岩也选出了包含金刚石、碳硅石、锆石等30余种矿物。异常矿物组合指示泽当地幔橄榄岩中存在局部的超高压、极还原环境,可能经历了复杂的演化过程:即古老地壳物质通过深俯冲或者折沉作用,进入地幔甚至是地幔过渡带(410~660 km),随后经历了超高压、极还原环境的改造,在后续的地幔柱或地幔对流作用中从洋中脊上升至浅部环境并返回到地壳中。该过程中地幔橄榄岩中的异常矿物组合记录了岩石的演化信息,因此开展地幔橄榄岩中异常矿物组合的精细矿物学研究,对认识壳-幔物质交换以及深部地幔动力学过程都有重要的研究意义。  相似文献

泽当蛇绿岩位于雅鲁藏布江缝合带东段,由地幔橄榄岩、辉长辉绿岩、火山岩等组成。地幔橄榄岩主要为方辉橄榄岩和二辉橄榄岩,有少量的铬铁矿化方辉橄榄岩和透镜状纯橄岩。地幔橄榄岩中橄榄石的Fo值为89.6~91.8,属镁橄榄石。斜方辉石为顽火辉石,En端员组分变化于87.8~90.3。单斜辉石En组分变化于44.1~50.0,主要为顽透辉石和透辉石。二辉橄榄岩与方辉橄榄岩铬尖晶石的Cr#为17.0~31.8,为富铝型尖晶石。泽当地幔橄榄岩PGE总量为16.67×10-9~32.59×10-9,与原始地幔相似。矿物化学特征显示泽当二辉橄榄岩属于深海型地幔橄榄岩,方辉橄榄岩属于弧前地幔橄榄岩。尖晶石Cr#、橄榄石Mg#的变化以及高Os含量(3.50×10-9~7.75×10-9)表明泽当地幔橄榄岩经历了部分熔融过程;正斜率的PGE配分模式以及较高的Pd/Ir值(1.09~3.94)表明泽当地幔橄榄岩受到了俯冲带环境下地幔交代作用的改造。泽当地幔橄榄岩矿物学特征与铂族元素地球化学特征显示其形成于MOR环境,后受到SSZ环境的改造。  相似文献

本文报道了雅鲁藏布江缝合带西段的东波蛇绿岩地幔橄榄岩中发现与罗布莎和普兰岩体相似的金刚石和特殊地幔矿物群。东波地幔橄榄岩体以方辉橄榄岩为主,含少量二辉橄榄岩和纯橄岩,辉石岩和辉长岩呈脉状产在方辉橄榄岩中。岩石地球化学特征表明东波岩体形成于MOR环境后受到SSZ环境的改造。通过重砂分选实验,在693 kg的地幔橄榄岩大样中发现了金刚石和碳硅石等30余种特殊矿物群,包括金刚石、自然铬、自然金、自然铁、自然硅、自然铜等自然元素矿物类;碳硅石等碳化物;铬尖晶石、金红石、铬铁矿、刚玉、黑钨矿、铌钽铁矿、磁铁矿、赤铁矿、方铁矿、锡石等氧化物;铁铬镍合金、镍铁合金、铜锌合金等合金互化物;辉钼矿、方铅矿、辉铋矿、黄铁矿、黄铜矿、毒砂和闪锌矿等硫化物;橄榄石、辉石、锆石、蓝晶石、白云母、蛇纹石、绿帘石等硅酸岩;萤石等氟化物。该矿物群与雅鲁藏布江缝合带的罗布莎和普兰两个岩体中发现的特殊矿物群非常类似,同时也为蛇绿岩型金刚石这一新类型提供了佐证。  相似文献

Relicts of deformed lithospheric mantle have been identified within serpentinites and weathered peridotites recovered from nine dredge sites and one submersible dive site from across the Godzilla Megamullion, which was emplaced at the now‐extinct Parece Vela Rift in the Parece Vela Basin, a back‐arc basin in the Philippine Sea. The serpentinites consist dominantly of lizardite ± chrysotile and magnetite with minor relict primary minerals that include pyroxene, spinel, and rare olivine. The weathered peridotites consist of pyroxene, spinel, lizardite ± chrysotile, and magnetite as well as weathering products of olivine. These rocks were classified in hand specimen into three types with different structures: massive, foliated, and mylonitic. In thin‐section the serpentine minerals show no sign of deformation, whereas relict primary minerals show evidence of plastic deformation such as undulose extinction, kink bands, dynamic recrystallization, and weak to moderate crystallographic preferred orientations. Therefore, the serpentinites and weathered peridotites result from the static replacement and weathering of previously ductile‐deformed peridotite. Given their location close to or on the detachment surface that exposed them, the relicts of peridotite provide evidence of deformation in the lithospheric mantle that could be related to the formation and emplacement of the Godzilla Megamullion in the Parece Vela Rift.  相似文献

西藏雅鲁藏布江缝合带西段普兰蛇绿岩以出现面积约600余平方千米的特大型地幔橄榄岩体而引人注目.该地幔橄榄岩以方辉橄榄岩为主体,含有少量的二辉橄榄岩和纯橄榄岩,岩体中另有一些橄榄单斜辉石岩、辉长岩和辉绿岩等侵入体.地幔橄榄岩的主要造岩矿物橄榄石的Fo 90~93,其中呈包裹体的橄榄石的Fo略高,斜方辉石为顽火辉石(En 88~90),单斜辉石主要为顽透辉石和透辉石,以低铝(0.48%~3.96%)和高Mg#(91~96)为特征,铬尖晶石的Cr#值为18~69,其中方辉橄榄岩和二辉橄榄岩中的铬尖晶石属富铝型尖晶石,而纯橄岩中为富铬型尖晶石.橄榄单斜辉石岩的橄榄石Fo值一致较低,平均为88.4,斜方辉石En平均87,单斜辉石以透辉石为主,铬尖晶石的Cr#值为45~69.普兰地幔橄榄岩及橄榄单斜辉石岩都具有相似的稀土元素和微量元素配分模式,表现为LREE相对富集,Eu亏损不明显,微量元素中大离子亲石元素含量较低,部分样品高场强元素亏损,另一些则相对富集,显示地幔橄榄岩具有亏损地幔源区特征,但也具有俯冲带流体的交代特征,表明普兰岩体可能经历了MOR和SSZ两种构造环境,该特征与雅鲁藏布江缝合带东段的罗布莎地幔橄榄岩的特征可以对比.  相似文献
