A set of significant Cambrian carbonate rocks are found in Qinshui Basin of Shanxi Province. On the basis of field investigation,the petrology and element geochemical composition of Cambrian rocks in the western margin of Qinshui Basin are studied. The results show that the Cambrian carbonate rocks are mainly composed of limestone from the Zhangxia and Gushan Formations, and dolostone from the lower part of Sanshanzi Formation. They are mainly shallow platform facies deposits which can be divided into three types: Restricted platform,open platform and platform margin reef and ramp. There are large variation ranges for the authigenic elements(CaO,MgO)and terrestrial elements(SiO2,Al2O3 and Fe2O3). They have two vertical upward and downward cycles,reflecting the sedimentary environment with high turbulence. The content of K2O is high,but the contents of Na2O and Sr are relatively low. The contents of ΣREE+Y are relatively high and vary widely,and the LREE are much richer than the HREE. A slight negative anomaly of Ce and Eu is found. The normalized curves show a slightly leftward-flat trend,which conforms to the characteristics of the typical marine sediments. The δ13C value is in the range of -1.96‰~0.41‰,showing an overall change of initial increase and then decrease trend. The δ18O value ranges from -9.96‰~-5.33‰,showing a ladder-like upward trend from bottom to top. Related geochemical parameters indicate that the study area was a saltwater marine environment. The paleo-seawater temperature belonged to a warm subtropical climate environment,generally changing from warm to hot and then to cold trends. The paleoclimate experienced a transition of relative humidity-relative dry and heat environmen-relative humidity. The paleo-water depth underwent a variation of shallow-deep-shallow. The ancient sea level experienced a large-scale transgression-regression process. A good coupling relationship between different palaeoenvironment elements is found,showing a certain restriction on the types of sedimentary facies. The results in this paper are very significant for the studies of Cambrian lithofacies palaeogeography and petroleum exploration in the Qinshui Basin and the adjacent regions. It provides a significant theory and practical guidance in the reconstruction of Cambrian palaeoenvironment,palaeotology and palaeoecology evolution of the North China Craton.  相似文献

This paper reviews research on coprolites from India, providing the first evidence of microcoprolites from the early Miocene (Aquitanian) Khari Nadi Formation sedimentary succession, exposed about 1.5 km northeast of the village of Kotada, Kachchh (Kutch) District, Gujarat State, western India. Morphometric and size comparisons (in a statistical framework) with known coprolites from the Mesozoic-Cenozoic successions of India (including those recorded herein) and globally suggest that fishes were the likely producers of the Kotada coprolites. Scanning electron microscopy confirms the presence of fish dental remains within the coprolites, while both Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS) reveal the phosphatic nature of the microscopic coprolite specimens (recorded herein) hinting that the producer(s) were predominantly carnivorous (ichthyophagous) in their diet. Furthermore, X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF) analysis of the host and associated lithologies allows us to deduce that the Kotada coprolites were deposited in a shallow marine environment, with possible aerial exposure of the host lithology occurring at some point after deposition. To the best of our knowledge, the present report is the first record of microscopic fish coprolites from India, as well as being the first from the Aquitanian of India and the oldest Neogene record from India.  相似文献

距现代海岸25km处的渤海湾西北岸宁河县兴坨H1孔(孔深28.0m)的介形类研究表明,可划分为7个组合层段(自下而上):Ⅰ-纯净小玻璃介组合(28.0~16.0m);Ⅱ-凹陷中华美花介-东台新单角介组合(16.0~9.0m);Ⅲ-东台新单角介-凹陷中华美花介-布氏威契曼介组合(9.0~4.5m);Ⅳ-凹陷中华美花介-丰满陈氏介组合(4.5~2.5m);Ⅴ-丰满陈氏介-凹陷中华美花介组合(2.5~1.6m);Ⅵ-丰满陈氏介-滨海弯贝介组合(1.6~0.5m);Ⅶ-玛纳斯土星介-布氏土星介组合(0.5~0m)。通过对环境分析,认为渤海湾西北海岸自全新世以来古环境变化经历了一个完整的海侵序列,即自16.0m向上至地表,从海进到海退为一个完整的沉积旋回。  相似文献

对东海北部陆缘地区NH 0504孔和东海Dh1井全新世地层的孢粉进行了研究,划分出5个孢粉组合带和2个亚带,恢复了该地区植被演替、气候波动和古环境演变的5个阶段,为该区的地层年代划分和对比提供了科学的证据,为全新世古植被、古气候和古环境的重建提供了重要的孢粉学资料。划分的5个阶段为:第1阶段为针阔叶混交林-草地,反映出当时的气候以温凉略湿为特征(前北方期);第2阶段为含常绿阔叶树的针阔叶混交林,反映出当时的气候以温和略干为特征(北方期);第3阶段为以常绿栎类和栲属等为主的常绿阔叶林,反映出当时气候以热暖潮湿为特征(大西洋期);第4阶段是以栎、松和禾本科为主的针阔叶混交林,反映出当时的气候以温暖略干为特征(亚北方期);第5阶段是以落叶栎类、常绿栎类、松为主的落叶阔叶、常绿阔叶、针叶混交林-草地,反映出当时的气候以温暖湿润为特征(亚大西洋期)。  相似文献

The geomorphological evolution of the Cobiheru Cave shows the influence of the non‐carbonate coastal mountain ranges on coastal karst evolution, as well as the temporal distribution of the cold‐adapted fauna sites in the Cantabrian Coast. Geomorphological observation and uranium/thorium (U/Th) dating lead to the construction of an evolution model. The model comprises two episodes of cave deposition occurring at c. 60–70 and 130–150 ka, linked to cold climate conditions, global sea‐level lowstands and the erosion of alluvial fans that covered the karst. Moreover, the comparison between the Cobiheru record and some raised beaches identified in previous studies sets the beginning of the sea‐level lowering in the Cantabrian Sea during the marine isotope stages (MIS) 5–4 transition. Two palaeoenvironments are inferred based on finding Equus ferus and Elona quimperiana. A wet deciduous forest would have developed on the emerged marine terrace of the Cobiheru Cave since at least the Middle Pleistocene, and an open landscape with scarce vegetation would have been present at c. 65 ka. The erosional event identified in the Cobiheru Cave helps to understand the temporal distribution of cold‐adapted mammals located in the Asturias region. The probable sites of cold‐adapted fauna developed in caves and alluvial fans would have disappeared after 65 ka. Therefore, palaeontological and palaeoclimate research based on cold‐adapted mammals suggests the occurrence of an hiatus in the palaeontological record prior to 50 ka. 通过测定抚仙湖沉积物全有机样品的稳定碳同位素组成(δ~(13)C_(org))、总氮、总有机碳含量指标并计算碳氮比值,对过去5000 a以来抚仙湖沉积物有机质来源、δ~(13)C_(org)的影响因素及其所指示的古环境意义进行分析.结果表明:在过去的5000 cal a BP里,抚仙湖沉积物有机质主要来源发生明显变化,沉积物有机质输入由内源水生生物和陆生C_3植物共同输入(5000-2300 cal a BP阶段)转变为以内源沉水植物、浮游植物和藻类等输入为主(2000 cal a BP至今阶段);有机质来源发生变化是造成抚仙湖沉积物δ~(13)C_(org)值变化的主要原因;2000 cal a BP以来,陆源有机质输入的锐减与人类活动的影响密切相关;在2300-2000 cal a BP阶段,抚仙湖沉积物δ~(13)C_(org)值的快速变化可能指示了抚仙湖流域的古环境在这一时期经历了快速变化的气候事件.  相似文献

Phytoliths extracted from loess resting conformably on lacustrine sediments in southeastern North Island, New Zealand, provide a nearly continuous vegetation–climate record spanning the time period from the last interglacial (Marine Oxygen Isotope Stage 5) to the present. Phytoliths reveal changes in vegetation patterns following changes in climate. Correlation between tree–shrub phytolith fluctuations and the SPECMAP oxygen isotope curve, between Marine Oxygen Isotope Stages 1 and 5, suggest that changes in the ratio of arboreal to non‐arboreal phytoliths directly result from changes in climate. These data generally support the existing pollen and diatom record. This study confirms the usefulness of phytolith fossils for providing environmental and climate information from the Quaternary sedimentary record, especially in cases where the deposits contain no fossil pollen or diatoms. 在额敏东部原划为晚泥盆世塔尔巴哈台组的火山碎屑岩夹碳酸盐岩地层中发现了丰富的志留纪文洛克世动物化石, 包括珊瑚Halysites hoboksarensis、H. sp.、Mesofavosites sp., 腕足动物Atrypa sp.、Eospirifer radiatus, 三叶虫Encrinuroides sp.、Encrinurus sp.1、E. sp.2、Cheirurus sp.、Sthenarocalymene sp., 短剑类Lepidocoleus sp.和层孔虫等, 通过区域岩性组合对比, 将该套地层改划为文洛克统沙尔布尔组.珊瑚和层孔虫等对环境要求较高的生物化石的发现, 同时结合地层中风暴沉积的粒序层理、包卷层理及火焰构造等相标志, 说明了额敏东部在文洛克世为火山碎屑质的开阔台地相沉积环境, 处于热带、亚热带气候区.   相似文献

A thick Maastrichtian‐Ypresian succession, dominated by marine siliciclastic and carbonate deposits of the regionally recognized Nile Valley and Garra El‐Arbain facies associations, is exposed along the eastern escarpment face of Kharga Oasis, located in the Western Desert of Egypt. The main objectives of the present study are: (i) to establish a detailed biostratigraphic framework; (ii) to interpret the depositional environments; and (iii) to propose a sequence stratigraphic framework in order to constrain the palaeogeographic evolution of the Kharga sub‐basin during the Maastrichtian‐Ypresian time interval. The biostratigraphic analysis suggests the occurrence of 10 planktonic zones; two in the Early Maastrichtian (CF8b and CF7), four in the Palaeocene (P2, P3, P4c and P5) and four in the Early Eocene (E1, E2, E3 and E4). Recorded zonal boundaries and biostratigraphic zones generally match with those proposed elsewhere in the region. The stratigraphic succession comprises seven third‐order depositional sequences which are bounded by unconformities and their correlative conformities which can be correlated within and outside Egypt. These depositional sequences are interpreted as the result of eustatic sea‐level changes coupled with local tectonic activities. Each sequence contains a lower retrogradational parasequence set bounded above by a marine‐flooding surface and an upper progradational parasequence set bounded above by a sequence boundary. Parasequences within parasequence sets are stacked in landward‐stepping and seaward‐stepping patterns indicative of transgressive and highstand systems tracts, respectively. Lowstand systems tracts were not developed in the studied sections, presumably due to the low‐relief ramp setting. The irregular palaeotopography of the Dakhla Basin, which was caused by north‐east to south‐west trending submerged palaeo‐highs and lows, together with the eustatic sea‐level fluctuations, controlled the development and location of the two facies associations in the Kharga Oasis, the Nile Valley (open marine) and Garra El‐Arbain (marginal marine).  相似文献
