The oxidation state, reflected in the oxygen fugacity (fO2), of the subcratonic lithospheric mantle is laterally and vertically heterogeneous. In the garnet stability field, the Kaapvaal
lithospheric mantle becomes progressively more reducing with increasing depth from Δlog fO2 FMQ-2 at 110 km to FMQ-4 at 210 km. Oxidation accompanying metasomatism has obscured this crystal-chemical controlled depth-fO2 trend in the mantle beneath Kimberley, South Africa. Chondrite normalized REE patterns for garnets, preserve evidence of
a range in metasomatic enrichment from mild metasomatism in harzburgites to extensive metasomatism by LREE-enriched fluids
and melts with fairly unfractionated LREE/HREE ratios in phlogopite-bearing lherzolites. The metasomatized xenoliths record
redox conditions extending up to Δlog fO2 = FMQ, sufficiently oxidized that magnesite would be the stable host of carbon in the most metasomatized samples. The most
oxidized lherzolites, those in or near the carbonate stability field, have the greatest modal abundance of phlogopite and
clinopyroxene. Clinopyroxene is modally less abundant or absent in the most reduced peridotite samples. The infiltration of
metasomatic fluids/melts into diamondiferous lithospheric mantle beneath the Kaapvaal craton converted reduced, anhydrous
harzburgite into variably oxidized phlogopite-bearing lherzolite. Locally, portions of the lithospheric mantle were metasomatized
and oxidized to an extent that conversion of diamond into carbonate should have occurred.

A surface-modified amorphous manganese oxide (SM-AMO) was prepared to increase the stability of a previously studied promising stabilizing agent and to compare its immobilizing efficiency with respect to contaminating metals with the original material. To synthesize the SM-AMO, the AMO surface was synthetically covered with a coating of MnCO3 because newly formed rhodochrosite precipitates were previously found to increase the stability of AMO particles in soils. A preliminary experiment evaluating the long-term stability of both materials in pure water suggested higher stability for the SM-AMO particles, showing a smaller release of Mn compared to the original AMO. An adsorption kinetics study focused on As, Cd, Pb and Zn showed lower adsorption rates and adsorption capacity for Zn, probably as a result of partial surface passivation. In comparison to these results for simple controlled systems, different effects were recorded when the two materials were applied to contaminated soils. When incubated in soil, a constantly lower mass loss was recorded in the case of SM-AMO. There were no significant differences in the release of Mn and DOC into the soil solution or in the stabilizing efficiency with regard to contaminating metal(loid)s between the original and surface-modified materials. Concerning the potential solid phase transformations in soil conditions, we observed a gradual equilibration between the surface composition of both materials. While the newly formed rhodochrosite precipitated on the AMO surface, the MnCO3 coatings on SM-AMO gradually dissolved. Both amendments also effectively supported microbial activity, especially in the more contaminated soil sample. 沃克金矿床是西昆仑西段金铜矿带近期发现的一处具有大型远景的金矿床。金矿体主要产于近东西向展布的韧-脆性剪切带中,赋矿岩石为穿切于绢云千枚岩中的石英脉。主要矿化类型为毒砂矿化、黄铁矿化、黄铜矿化,热液蚀变为绢云母化、硬绿泥石化和碳酸盐化。在野外地质勘查与研究的基础上,笔者结合镜下显微观察,将成矿阶段划分为早(S1)、主(S2)和晚(S3)阶段,主阶段形成大量硫化物及方解石石英脉。载金硫化物主要为毒砂,次为黄铜矿、方铅矿。利用电子探针(EPMA)对载金硫化物进行分析,结合单元素面扫描成像,笔者认为金矿石主要以细粒金和中粒金形式存在。流体包裹体显示温度变化范围230~493℃,w (NaCl) eq为1.56%~18.19%,成矿流体具有中高温、中低盐度的特征,表现为NaCl-H2O-CO2体系。石英δ18O值为8.6‰~14.0‰,流体的δD值在-83.7‰~-103.6‰,显示出变质水和大气降水的混合流体来源特征;硫同位素组成显示成矿物质源自中浅变质岩。笔者认为,沃克金矿床为与韧-脆性剪切带有关的中成造山型金矿床。 相似文献

The Three Gorges are considered to be critical to understand the formation of Yangtze River. Recent research results suggest that the Yangtze Three Gorges was created during the Quaternary but the exact time is debatable. Fe–Ti oxide minerals are seldom used to study sediment provenance, expecially using scanning electron microscopy(SEM), and energy dispersive spectrometer(EDS). In this study, the provenance of Quaternary sediments in Yichang area, which is located to the east of the Yangtze Three Gorges, was investigated by using SEM and EDS to research Fe–Ti oxides. The Panzhihua vanadium titanomagnetite and Emeishan basalt outcrop are located to the west of the Three Gorges. Further, the materials from them are observed in the Quaternary sediments of Yichang area. Fe–Ti oxide minerals from the Huangling granite are observed in the Yunchi and Shanxiyao Formations, which were formed before 0.75 Ma B.P., whereas Fe–Ti oxide minerals from the Huangling granite, Panzhihua vanadium titanomagnetite, and Emeishan basalt are observed in the riverbed and fifth-terrace sediments of the Yangtze River, which were formed after 0.73 Ma B.P.. Thus, we can infer that the Three Gorges formed after the deposition of the Shanxi Formation and before the fifth-terrace; i.e., 0.75–0.73 Ma B.P.. 相似文献

极限状态下墙体侧向位移对土压力计算和支挡结构设计影响显著。根据Rankine变形体和Coulomb刚塑体模型,将墙后土体变形分别当作单剪和直剪试验中试样的剪切过程,以达到极限剪切变形(剪应变或单位长度剪切位移)作为进入主被动状态标准,构建了土体变形与墙体位移的几何关系,提出了反映土体变形与强度特性,同时考虑静止时初始应力状态影响的墙体极限侧向位移近似计算模型。分析表明:土体极限剪切变形、滑移区范围、初始应力状态是影响墙体极限位移的核心要素,其中极限剪切变形占据主导作用,是导致不同颗粒组成及密实程度土体进入极限状态所需墙体位移差异显著的主要原因,而主被动区范围不同和因静止土压力系数 1引起的初始剪切变形,则是被动状态墙体位移远大于主动的关键因素;算例中主动与被动状态下墙体位移与墙高之比分别介于0.5‰~13.2‰和?0.4%~?5.2%,且主动状态下细粒土墙体位移大于粗粒土,计算结果与工程经验及相关文献模型试验基本一致。 相似文献

当土压平衡盾构穿越高水位地层(如穿越江河)时,地下水与土舱之间的高水压差会产生过大的渗透力,导致开挖面失稳。为了研究渗流条件下开挖面失稳问题,开发了一套隧道离心模型试验装置,主要包括刚性模型箱、模型盾构、开挖面伺服加载系统、水位控制系统、储水箱。针对饱和砂质粉土地层,开展了一系列不同水位高度的稳态渗流开挖面失稳模型试验。结果显示,开挖面失稳过程中随着开挖面位移的增加,有效支护压力迅速下降;在达到最小值 之后缓慢回升并趋于稳定;极限有效支护压力 与水头压力 呈线性关系。 相似文献

It is universally accepted that the need for defining precise lines of separation and points of contacts between states is the byproduct of the emergence of nation-states and ‘world economy’ in the 19th century Europe. Nevertheless, it is hard to overlook the fact that these modern notions are rooted in periods prior to the emergence in Europe of nation-states. There are indications that ancient civilizations were familiar with the notion of ‘state’ in connection with the concepts of territory and boundary. Ancient texts reveal that this basic principle existed in ancient Persian literature in respect of matters of state, territory, and boundary. Similarly, the likelihood exists that these Persian notions could have influenced Roman civilization. It is widely believed that a combination of ancient Greco-Roman and Persian civilizations is a major contributor to what culturally constitutes ‘West’. Later in the Sassanid period the inter-linked notions of state, territory, and boundary developed substantially, coming quite close to their contemporary forms. On the other hand, considering that ‘justice’ was the corner stone of ancient Persian Political philosophy, the idea that ancient Persian spatial arrangement might have contributed to the evolution of the concept of democracy in the West may not be too difficult to contemplate. 相似文献
