Three analytical studies of base‐isolated structures are carried out. First, six pairs of near‐fault motions oriented in directions parallel and normal to the fault were considered, and the average of the response spectra of these earthquake records was obtained. This study shows that in addition to pulse‐type displacements, these motions contain significant energy at high frequencies and that the real and pseudo‐velocity spectra are quite different. The second analysis modelled the response of a model of an isolated structure with a flexible superstructure to study the effect of isolation damping on the performance of different isolation systems under near‐fault motion. The results show that there exists a value of isolation system damping for which the superstructure acceleration for a given structural system attains a minimum value under near‐fault motion. Therefore, although increasing the bearing damping beyond a certain value may decrease the bearing displacement, it may transmit higher accelerations into the superstructure. Finally, the behaviour of four isolation systems subjected to the normal component of each of the near‐fault motions were studied, showing that EDF type isolation systems may be the optimum choice for the design of isolated structures in near‐fault locations. 研究了应用主动锚索控制装置控制相邻建筑地震响应的有效性。首先,建立了主动锚索-相邻建筑系统的运动方程;然后应用广义振型分析方法,寻求了主动锚索联结的相邻建筑的力学特性,特别是振型阻尼比;最后,在频率域内应用广义振型分析与虚拟激励相结合的方法,建立了主动锚索控制装置联结相邻建筑的随机地震响应的分析方法。应用本文建立的公式,我们编制了计算机程序,进行了广泛的参数研究,以评价控制装置的有效性,并确定最优传感器类型及控制装置参数。研究表明,如果应用速度传感器,并能适当地选择主动锚索控制器的参数,则可以显著地提高系统的振型阻尼比,减小两个结构的地震响应。  相似文献

This study investigated the effects of neglecting off‐diagonal terms of the transformed damping matrix on the seismic response of non‐proportionally damped asymmetric‐plan systems with the specific aim of identifying the range of system parameters for which this simplification can be used without introducing significant errors in the response. For this purpose, a procedure is presented in which modal damping ratios computed by neglecting off‐diagonal terms of the transformed damping matrix are used in the traditional modal analysis. The effects of the simplification are evaluated first by comparing the aforementioned modal damping ratios with the apparent damping ratios obtained from the complex‐valued eigenanalysis. The variation of a parameter that was defined by Warburton and Soni as an indicator of the errors introduced by the simplification is examined next. Finally, edge deformations obtained from the simplified procedure are compared with those obtained from the direct integration of the equations of motion. It is found that the simplified procedure may be used without introducing significant errors in response for most practical values of the system parameters. Identification of system parameters with the help of records made on base-isolated bridge during earthquakes provides an excellent opportunity to study the performance of the various components of such bridge systems. Using a two-stage system identification methodology for non-classically damped systems, modal and structural parameters of four base-isolated bridges are reliably identified using acceleration data recorded during 18 earthquakes. Physical stiffness of reinforced concrete columns, dynamic properties of soil and foundation impedance are found by available theoretical models in conjunction with pertinent information from the recorded accelerographs. Soil–structure interaction (SSI) effect in these bridges is examined by comparing the identified and physical stiffness of the sub-structure components. It is found that SSI is relatively pronounced in bridges founded in weaker soils and is more strongly related to the ratio of pier flexural stiffness and horizontal foundation stiffness than soil shear modulus, Gs, alone. However, substantial reduction in Gs is observed for moderate seismic excitation and this effect should be taken into account while computing foundation impedance.  相似文献

为了提高电法勘探数据解释的能力,寻找较好的二维反演方法,本文在研究改进的阻尼最小二乘法在二维反演中应用的同时,成功地引进和发展了Box-Kanemasu反演法。在微机上实现了电法勘探数据的二维反演解释。理论和实际地电模型的二维反演算例表明,该方法的理论是正确的,方法是切实可行的。  相似文献

The extensive intrusion (covering an area of 83.7-238.3 km~2 and accounting for 18.6-31.5% of the total area of the plain), the presence of a transitional zone 1.5-6.0 km in width, and the interconnection in distribution between the seawater intrusion district and the region lower than the sea level caused by the strong drop of the groundwater level are major characteristics of the seawater intrusion in the study area. Cation exchange played an important role during the formation of chemical composition of the groundwater in the seawater intrusion district.  相似文献
