通过对723可见分光光度计的测试,了解仪器性能,分析仪器误差,选择测定可溶性硅酸实验条件,制订操作规程,圆满完成该项目测定可溶性硅酸的试运行实验。实验结果表明:该仪器需要开机预热30分,对地震日常观测采用仪器参比调零消除比色皿的配对误差,应尽量缩短仪器参比调零与观测时间间隔。在吸光度较小,选用5cm比色皿能减小相对误差1-3倍。可溶性硅酸显色反应随时间而变化,实验结果显示,其稳定时间为配置后10-30分,要求实验水样品应控制在该时间内。  相似文献

Grains of native gold and tellurium were found in siliceous hydrothermally altered rocks in the high-temperature (170–540°C) fumarolic field of the La Fossa volcano (Island of Vulcano). In addition to Au and Te, Pb–Bi sulfides (cannizzarite) and Tl-bromide chloride were found as sublimates in the hottest fumarolic vents of the crater rim. The chemical composition of altered rocks associated with sublimate deposition indicate the presence of a significant concentration of Te (up to 75 ppm), while gold concentrations are very low (<9 ppb). Pb, Bi and Tl are strongly enriched in the hottest and less oxidized fumarolic vents, reaching concentrations of 2186, 146 and 282 ppm, respectively. These elements are transported (generally as chloride complexes) to the surface by volcanic gases, and several of these (Bi, Te, Tl) are originated from magma degassing. The silicic alteration is produced by the flow of fluids with pH<2. High acidity results from introduction of magmatic gases such as SO2, HCl and HF released by the shallow magmatic reservoir of La Fossa volcano. The silicic alteration found at Vulcano may represent an early stage of the `vuggy silica' facies which characterizes the high-sulfidation epithermal ore deposits, confirming the analogies existing between this type of ore deposit and magmatic-hydrothermal systems associated with island-arc volcanoes.  相似文献

破火山在中国东南沿海白垩纪巨型硅质火山-侵入杂岩带中大量分布,其成因及相关的火山活动过程是理解中国东南部构造-岩浆与成矿作用的重要科学问题。破火山是近圆形的火山洼地,其形成与大量岩浆喷出的爆炸式火山碎屑流喷发伴随的岩浆房顶板塌陷有关。对于经历剥蚀的古老破火山,其内部岩石相对围岩来说更年轻,与围岩并列接触并有截然的界线,是识别破火山的重要依据。破火山一般经历多阶段的火山活动过程,包括塌陷前喷发、破火山形成喷发、破火山形成后喷发和破火山复活等,识别这些不同的火山喷发和岩浆活动阶段是理解破火山形成与演化的关键问题。浙东晚白垩世长屿火山具有典型的破火山识别特征:①火山岩呈直径约12 km的圆形分布,局部发育破火山内湖相沉积;②破火山南部第一阶段流纹质角砾熔结凝灰岩与较老的九里坪组富晶体火山岩在空间上并列,并以正断层带为界,九里坪组火山岩构成了长屿破火山的围岩和可能的基底;③长屿3个阶段的火山岩均主要分布在破火山内,具有典型的火山碎屑流相的岩相学特征,在垂向上依次叠置,反映了第一阶段火山活动导致了塌陷破火山的形成,第二阶段和第三阶段为破火山形成后喷发,喷发产物进一步填充破火山;④破火山内多处发育的流纹岩穹隆代表了破火山内部的多个火山岩浆通道。  相似文献

Abstract

The Hiltaba Suite intrusive rocks and penecontemporaneous Gawler Range Volcanics (GRV) comprise the 1590?Ma Gawler silicic large igneous province in the Gawler Craton, South Australia. Zircon is principally associated with Fe–Ti oxides and clusters of touching crystals in these rocks, including in the Roxby Downs Granite (RDG), host of the Olympic Dam iron oxide–copper–gold deposit, and in other intrusive rocks that comprise the Olympic Province. There has been no explicit evaluation and explanation of potential origins published for concentrations of zircon with Fe–Ti oxides (herein zircon-rich clusters) found in these and similar rocks of western North America and elsewhere. Here we use U–Pb geochronology, mineral morphologies and compositions, and insights from surface chemistry and liquid-bound particle interaction studies to investigate zircon-rich clusters and provide a model for their formation. U–Pb geochronology does not reveal any concordant zircon populations older than ca 1590?Ma, so it is unlikely that there are significant xenocrystic zircon grains or that the zircons include significant inherited cores. The lack of pre-magmatic zircon, consistent intra-grain and inter-grain zircon compositional trends, the predominance of oscillatory zoned zircon with morphologies indicating growth from hot, evolved silicate melts, and the lack of evidence for zircon recrystallisation, indicates that zircon crystallised in the host GRV and RDG magmas. Variable zircon compositions within individual clusters does not support epitaxial nucleation of zircon on Fe–Ti oxides, but it is likely that some zircon grains grew from seed crystals formed by exsolution of Zr from Fe–Ti oxides. Aggregation of isolated, liquid-bound crystals is energetically favourable, and the grainsize discrepancy between larger crystals (Fe–Ti oxides, pyroxenes) and smaller accessory minerals (zircon, apatite) maximises the disparity in particle velocities and hence enhances the opportunities for collisions and adhesion between these crystals. We propose that zircon adheres to Fe–Ti oxides with greater ease and/or with greater bond strengths, than to other phases present in the parental magmas. It is possible that this association is related to interactions between zircon and Fe–Ti oxide surface sites with opposing charges, presuming the distance between phase surfaces is sufficiently small. The occurrence of small zircon grains within Fe–Ti oxides and both euhedral zircon and zircon with asymmetric growth zonation in contact with Fe–Ti oxides indicates that several processes are responsible for the high concentrations of zircon crystals in some Fe–Ti oxide clusters.

关于侵入岩和火山岩二者之间的联系,已有上百年的争论。该争论主要集中于中—酸性岩,对于长英质火山岩的岩浆来源目前主要有2种观点:(1)由花岗质岩浆的“晶粥”中的熔体抽离而来;(2)与同期侵入岩无关,具有独立的岩浆形成过程。近些年来,随着高精度定年测试方法的进步和地球物理等研究方式的介入,对长英质火山岩和侵入岩二者的成因联系有了新的认知,“晶粥”模型和“穿地壳岩浆系统”受到较多关注,但同时也带来了新的矛盾和问题。文章系统总结了火山岩与侵入岩联系的不同观点、历史沿革、以及不同研究方法引起的争议,展望了该领域未来研究前景;提出大数据总体上展现出的长英质火山岩和侵入岩之间强烈的地球化学相似性,但这种总体上的相似性并不排除特定区域某个火山—侵入杂岩中的火山岩和侵入岩之间存在地球化学的差异,并在成因上符合“晶粥”模型。文章指出,深部探测、原位精细分析和实验模拟是火山岩—侵入岩成因联系研究方面有望取得突破的重要研究方向,而将火山岩—侵入岩形成机制与大陆演化和环境变迁等问题的研究有机结合可能是未来的重要研究领域。  相似文献

The Mesoproterozoic Gawler Silicic Large Igneous Province (SLIP) in the Gawler Craton and Curnamona Province, southern Australia, comprises extensive felsic and lesser mafic volcanic sequences, with only limited sedimentary successions. The Roopena Basin is a rare example of a synvolcanic sedimentary basin that formed within the Gawler SLIP in the eastern Gawler Craton. It is a north–south-trending basin with a preserved area of 75 km2, bound by the Roopena and Wizzo Well faults, and contains three units of the lower Gawler Range Volcanics; the Angle Dam Dacite, Fresh Well Formation and Roopena Basalt. The Angle Dam Dacite is a porphyritic lava and the oldest part of the volcanic succession, directly overlying basement. The Fresh Well Formation overlies the Angle Dam Dacite or basement, comprises three coarsening-upwards volcaniclastic packages of claystone, siltstone, fine-grained to coarse-grained lithic sandstone and conglomerate deposited in a fluvio-lacustrine setting, and contains three tuff members. The Roopena Basalt is interlayered with the Fresh Well Formation, and comprises auto-brecciated lavas that exhibit only local interaction with water or wet sediment. Sharp basal contacts of the prograding packages within the Fresh Well Formation provide evidence of rapid flooding events within the basin. New detrital zircon geochronology of a sandstone within the Fresh Well Formation yielded a maximum depositional age of ca 1580 Ma, with provenance dominated by felsic volcanic units of the 1635–1605 Ma St Peter Suite. Sedimentation in the Gawler SLIP appears to have occurred in isolated basins with limited areal extent. It was largely restricted to the eastern Gawler Craton, and as well as the Roopena Basin, and includes similar basins at the Olympic Dam and Prominent Hill iron oxide–copper–gold ± uranium (IOCG ± U) deposits. The coincidence of sedimentation and mafic volcanism in the eastern Gawler Craton suggests that this region underwent extension at this time, although high-temperature metamorphism and compressional deformation occurred in some parts of the Gawler Craton and Curnamona Province synchronous with the Gawler SLIP. The Roopena Basin sedimentary rocks and underlying basement contain hematite–chlorite–sericite–white mica assemblages, permissive of hematite-style IOCG mineral deposits; however, no significant ore deposit has yet been discovered in the Roopena Basin.  相似文献

Fifty-three major explosive eruptions on Iceland and Jan Mayen island were identified in 0–6-Ma-old sediments of the North Atlantic and Arctic oceans by the age and the chemical composition of silicic tephra. The depositional age of the tephra was estimated using the continuous record in sediment of paleomagnetic reversals for the last 6 Ma and paleoclimatic proxies (δ18O, ice-rafted debris) for the last 1 Ma. Major element and normative compositions of glasses were used to assign the sources of the tephra to the rift and off-rift volcanic zones in Iceland, and to the Jan Mayen volcanic system. The tholeiitic central volcanoes along the Iceland rift zones were steadily active with the longest interruption in activity recorded between 4 and 4.9 Ma. They were the source of at least 26 eruptions of dominant rhyolitic magma composition, including the late Pleistocene explosive eruption of Krafla volcano of the Eastern Rift Zone at about 201 ka. The central volcanoes along the off-rift volcanic zones in Iceland were the source of at least 19 eruptions of dominant alkali rhyolitic composition, with three distinct episodes recorded at 4.6–5.3, 3.5–3.6, and 0–1.8 Ma. The longest and last episode recorded 11 Pleistocene major events including the two explosive eruptions of Tindfjallajökull volcano (Thórsmörk, ca. 54.5 ka) and Katla volcano (Sólheimar, ca. 11.9 ka) of the Southeastern Transgressive Zone. Eight major explosive eruptions from the Jan Mayen volcanic system are recorded in terms of the distinctive grain-size, mineralogy and chemistry of the tephra. The tephra contain K-rich glasses (K2O/SiO2>0.06) ranging from trachytic to alkali rhyolitic composition. Their normative trends (Ab–Q–Or) and their depleted concentrations of Ba, Eu and heavy-REE reflect fractional crystallisation of K-feldspar, biotite and hornblende. In contrast, their enrichment in highly incompatible and water-mobile trace elements such as Rb, Th, Nb and Ta most likely reflect crustal contamination. One late Pleistocene tephra from Jan Mayen was recorded in the marine sequence. Its age, estimated between 617 and 620 ka, and its composition support a common source with the Borga pumice formation at Sør Jan in the south of the island.  相似文献

The largest accumulations of rhyolitic melt in the upper crustoccur in voluminous silicic crystal mushes, which sometimeserupt as unzoned, crystal-rich ignimbrites, but are most frequentlypreserved as granodioritic batholiths. After approximately 40–50%crystallization, magmas of intermediate composition (andesite–dacite)typically contain high-SiO2 interstitial melt, similar to crystal-poorrhyolites commonly erupted in mature arc and continental settings.This paper analyzes the feasibility of system-wide extractionof this melt from the mush, a mechanism that can rationalizea number of observations in both the plutonic and volcanic record,such as: (1) abrupt compositional gaps in ignimbrites; (2) thepresence of chemically highly evolved bodies at the roof ofsubvolcanic batholiths; (3) the observed range of ages (up to200–300 ka) recorded by zircons in silicic magmas; (4)extensive zones of low P-wave velocity in the shallow crustunder active silicic calderas.
