We present new data about the morphological and stratigraphic evolution and the rates of fluvial denudation of the Tavoliere di Puglia plain, a low‐relief landscape representing the northernmost sector of the Pliocene‐Pleistocene foredeep of the southern Apennines. The study area is located between the easternmost part of the southern Apennine chain and the Gargano promontory and it is characterized by several orders of terraced fluvial deposits, disconformably overlying lower Pleistocene marine clay and organized in a staircase geometry, which recorded the emersion and the long‐term incision history of this sector since mid‐Pleistocene times. We used the spatial and altimetric distribution of several orders of middle to late Pleistocene fluvial terraces in order to perform paleotopographic reconstruction and GIS‐aided eroded volumes estimates. Then, we estimated denudation rates on the basis of the terraces chronostratigraphy, supported by published OSL and AAR dating. Middle to upper Pleistocene denudation rates estimated by means of such an approach are slightly lower than 0.1 mm yr‐1, in good agreement with short‐term data from direct and indirect evaluation of suspended sediment yield. The analysis of longitudinal river profiles using the stream power erosion model provided additional information on the incision rates of the studied area. Middle to late Quaternary uplift rates (about 0.15 mm yr‐1), calculated on the basis of the elevation above sea level of marine deposits outcropping in the easternmost sector of the study area, are quite similar to the erosion rates average value, thus suggesting a steady‐state fluvial incision. The approach adopted in this work has demonstrated that erosion rates traditionally obtained by quantitative geomorphic analysis and ksn estimations can be successfully integrated to quantify rates of tectonic or geomorphological processes of a landscape approaching steady‐state equilibrium. 造山带地区构造运动复杂、沉积体系多变,其层序地层划分往往被视为禁区。准噶尔盆地西北缘乌夏前陆冲断带早二叠世发育了一套由火山-火山碎屑岩和正常碎屑岩互层的沉积组合,中晚二叠世主要发育了冲积扇相、扇三角洲相和湖泊相沉积,给层序地层学的研究带来很大难题。对前陆冲断带层序地层划分不能套用稳定地区的模式。本文通过地震、钻测井资料识别各类不整合面,并依据火山喷发方式、火山旋回、沉积旋回分析技术,在经典层序地层学基础上按照不同对比原则,进行层序界面的识别和划分,建立了研究区前陆冲断带地区的层序时空演化模式。结果表明:研究区二叠系层序发育经历了强烈俯冲碰撞造山期-饥饿深水阶段、弱冲断夹短暂伸展火山期-复理石阶段、强烈冲断复活期-磨拉石阶段和冲断活动鼎盛期-水下粗粒沉积阶段(PSS4发育期)。 相似文献

沿海地区地下水环境问题日益突出,进行地下水水化学特征及演化规律的研究,能够更有效地开展地下水环境的监测和保护。以青岛市崂山区地下水为研究对象,综合运用统计分析、主成分分析、Piper图解法、HFE-D图解法、Chadha’s矩形图法等方法,对研究区海水入侵特征与地下水化学特征演化进行分析,探究地下水水化学特征及演化规律,并进一步评价了海水入侵现状。结果表明,研究区地下水以Na+、Ca2+、Cl−、${\rm{SO}}_4^{2-}$为主要优势离子,地下水化学类型多为Cl·SO4-Na型和SO4·Cl-Ca·Mg型。地下水中Cl−浓度变化幅度较大,且其均值超出了有无海水入侵的分界值(250 mg·L−1),地下水可能发生一定程度的海水入侵;青岛市崂山区地下水呈中性至弱碱性(pH均值=7.0~8.0),是沿海地区长期的水文地球化学过程的影响;地下水化学变化主要受自然因素(岩石与水的相互作用)或人为因素(农业和家庭活动)的控制;采用反距离加权(IDW)方法,结合地理信息系统(GIS),进行海水入侵位置的空间映射,研究结果表明崂山区海水入侵主要分布于江家土寨东−浦里社区北入侵段,王哥庄−港西−港东入侵段、仰口湾入侵段、登瀛村−栲栳岛入侵段。 相似文献

We present integral field spectroscopy of the nebular line emission in a sample of nine brightest cluster galaxies (BCGs). The sample was chosen to probe both cooling flow and non-cooling flow clusters, as well as a range of cluster X-ray luminosities. The line emission morphology and velocity gradients suggest a great diversity in the properties of the line emitting gas. While some BCGs show evidence for filamentary or patchy emission (Abell 1060, Abell 1668 and MKW 3s), others have extended emission (Abell 1204, Abell 2199), while still others have centrally concentrated emission (Abell 2052). We examine diagnostic line ratios to determine the dominant ionization mechanisms in each galaxy. Most of the galaxies show regions with active galactic nucleus like spectra, however, for two BCGs, Abell 1060 and Abell 1204, the emission line diagnostics suggest regions which can be described by the emission from young stellar populations. The diversity of emission-line properties in our sample of BCGs suggests that the emission mechanism is not universal, with different ionization processes dominating different systems. Given this diversity, there is no evidence for a clear distinction of the emission-line properties between cooling flow and non-cooling flow BCGs. It is not always cooling flow BCGs which show emission (or young stellar populations), and non-cooling flow BCGs which do not. 相似文献

The fluvio-lacustrine sequences in the Nihewan Basin of North China (known as the Nihewan Formation) are rich sources of Early Pleistocene Paleolithic sites and mammalian fossils (known as the Nihewan Fauna sensu lato), which offer an excellent opportunity to investigate the evolution of early humans and land mammals in East Asia. Also abundant mammalian fossils provide clues about the general environmental and climatic setting of early humans. Among the Nihewan Fauna (sensu lato), the Daodi Fauna is one of the most complete and oldest in the eastern Nihewan Basin: seven mammalian fossil-bearing layers in the Nihewan Formation have been described. Except for a biostratigraphy, however, precise age control on the Daodi Fauna has remained unavailable. Here we report a new magnetostratigraphic record that stringently constrains its age. The seven fossil-rich layers span an age range of ca 2.5–1.8 Ma between the Gauss–Matuyama boundary and the termination of the Olduvai polarity subchron. Combining our new and recently published paleomagnetic data, we further establish a Pleistocene magnetochronology of the fauna and Paleolithic sites in the Nihewan Basin. Age ranges of about 2.5–0.5 Ma for the faunas and 1.7–0.3 Ma for the Paleolithic sites are deduced, which span most of the Pleistocene. The chronological framework and calculated proportions of mammals that were adapted to different environments indicate that mixed settings of dominant grasslands and subordinate forests continued at least from 2.5 to 0.5 Ma for early human occupation in the basin, similar to the mixed open savannah and woodland habitats of early humans in Africa. The Nihewan hominins consistently adopted a simple Oldowan-like technology (i.e., Mode 1 core and flake technologies) from at least ca 1.7 to 0.3 Ma. A more advanced Acheulean technology (Mode 2) has not been found in the Nihewan Basin, although it started to emerge in the Bose Basin of South China at ca 0.8 Ma. This implies that multiple groups of hominins distinguished by differential stone-tool-making capabilities may have coexisted in China after 0.8 Ma. 相似文献

Tidal flats, a precious resource that provides ecological services and land space for coastal zones, are facing threats from human activities and climate change. In this study, a robust decision tree for tidal flat extraction was developed to analyse spatiotemporal variations in the Bohai Rim region during 1984-2019 based on 9539 Landsat TM/OLI surface reflection images and the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud platform. The area of tidal flats significantly fluctuated downwards from 3551.22 to 1712.36 km2 in the Bohai Rim region during 1984-2019, and 51.31% of tidal flats were distributed near the Yellow River Delta and Liaohe River Delta during 2017-2019. There occurred a drastic spatial transition of tidal flats with coastline migration towards the ocean. Low-stability tidal flats were mainly distributed in reclamation regions, deltas, and bays near the estuary during 1984-2019. The main factors of tidal flat evolution in the Bohai Rim region included the direct impact of land cover changes in reclamation regions, the continuous impact of a weakening sediment supply, and the potential impact of a deteriorating sediment storage capability. The extraction process and maps herein could provide a reference for the sustainable development and conservation of coastal resources. 相似文献

大陆最古老的陆壳物质是沉积岩中4.4 Ga的碎屑锆石,最古老的陆壳岩石年龄为4.1-4.0 Ga,出露面积约20 km2。3.9-3.6 Ga的古老陆核出露在不同克拉通中,而大陆的生长峰期是在2.9-2.7 Ga,全球稳定的陆壳圈层形成是在~2.5 Ga,被称为克拉通化。陆壳以英云闪长岩-奥长花岗岩-花岗闪长岩(TTG)为代表,体积占古老陆壳的~70%以上。古陆表现为高级片麻岩区-花岗绿岩带格局(穹隆-龙骨格局),与显生宙的洋-陆格局不同,暗示构造体制的差异。火山沉积组合即是围绕高级片麻岩地体以层状向斜方式存在的绿岩带,后者相对变质很浅或未变质。早期地球演化中,先有陆还是先有洋、陆核形成和生长的机制、什么时候开始有露出海面的陆地、太古宙时期的洋-陆格局等等都还没有定论。古元古代时期,全球长期处于伸展阶段,巨厚的裂谷型沉积以及伴随的大氧化事件,可能是开启古地理研究的最早地质时期。本文还以华北克拉通为例,作了陆壳演化的简单介绍。 相似文献

花岗岩是大陆地壳的主要物质组成之一 ,蕴含着探索大陆动力学的重要信息。成因研究特别是混合成因研究可以提供探索大陆结构、生长及壳幔相互作用演化的信息 ;花岗岩形成演化揭示了构造动力学演化、大陆动力学演化及壳幔相互作用演化的某些特点 ;岩浆上升、迁移是大陆内部能量传播、物质迁移和调整的一种形式 ;岩浆的聚集及岩体生产方式与大陆块体运动学、动力学密切相关 ;岩体定时、定位对大陆块体时空定位提供了限制条件 ;变形岩体可作为区域应变标志体和时间标志体 ,研究大陆的变形 ,并有助于古老块体早期构造的解析。这些研究涉及到大陆的形成、演化、内部物质再分配、热动力效应和构造变动等动力学等问题 ,是花岗岩研究与大陆动力学研究的结合点。 相似文献

位于西藏冈底斯带的甲马弧内盆地是随着甲马岛弧的发育而产生的,沉积了一套滨浅海相活动大陆边缘的沉积物,主要由碎屑岩与海绵礁灰岩构成。在盆地内的上侏罗统至白垩系中,共识别出七个3级层序,包括1个Ⅰ类层序和6个Ⅱ类层序。重新建立了该区层序地层年代格架。层序地层的研究表明,盆地的演化可划分为具深切谷的碎屑陆架阶段,碳酸盐台地与海绵礁形成阶段,滞流的碎屑陆架阶段,无障壁海岸的碎屑陆架阶段和具障壁海岸的碎屑陆架5个阶段。 相似文献
