一般认为磁组构能有效地反映岩石所经历的应变特征.为了研究不同类型的磁组构和不同期次应变之间的关系,对来自华南地块两个地区的早三叠世灰岩样品进行了岩石磁学、磁组构以及应变特征的对比分析.来自湖北通山县的样品经历了三期构造变形,这为解析磁组构和多期次应变提供了理想的机会.岩石磁学结果显示携磁矿物主要为磁铁矿.磁化率各向异性(AMS)和非磁滞剩磁各向异性(AAR)结果显示其最小轴与层面垂直,最大轴和中间轴分布于层面内,反映了沉积和压实作用产生的应变,而后期构造应变在磁组构中没有体现.来自广东连县的样品发育有渗透性压溶缝面理和方解石脉,说明经历了构造应变.AMS结果没有显示占优势的组构方向.AAR结果显示三轴组构,其最大轴分布于最大应力方位,与构造应变特征吻合,最初的压实组构被构造应变组构所代替.上述结果表明:(1)AAR可以很好地反映渗透性应变的特征,而AMS有时会失效;(2)应变的尺度要小于样品的尺度,磁组构才能有效地反映应变.  相似文献

 Three carbonate core samples from an oil and gas reservoir of the NW German basin were chosen to study the correlation between rock fabrics and physical properties of reservoir rocks. Detailed fabric analyses and texture investigations were carried out as well as laboratory measurements of different physical properties, e.g. density, porosity, permeability, electrical conductivity, seismic compressional and shear wave velocities. Although the three core samples come from a similar depositional facies, they show great differences in the occurrence and three-dimensional distribution of the rock fabric elements. These heterogeneities are the result of various diagenetic and tectonic processes. For the correlation between the rock fabrics and the physical properties four main rock fabric types have to be considered: (a) major constituents, e.g. fossils, ooides, peloides and crystals; (b) pore space with different pore types; (c) fractures; and (d) stylolites. The results of the correlation clearly show that the values and anisotropies of the petrophysical properties are fairly related to the observed fabric elements, with their different arrangements, spatial distributions and preferred orientations. These results also provide a fundamental understanding of the petrophysical responses, such as seismics, to the different geological features (e.g. fractures) and their dynamic changes with pressure, which can be converted to different depths. The knowledge gained from such correlations may lead to an improved interpretation of geophysical data for hydrocarbon exploration and production and therefore to an advanced reservoir characterization. Physical weathering of marbles caused by anisotropic thermal expansion   总被引:6,自引:0,他引:6  
 Marbles as building stones as well as in their natural environments show complex weathering phenomena. The most important damage scenario is based on the highly anisotropic thermal expansion coefficient α of calcite, i.e. extreme expansion parallel and contraction normal to the crystallographic c-axis. Therefore, the rock fabric and especially the lattice-preferred orientation (texture) of calcite and/or dolomite as the predominant mineral phases in marbles have a significant influence on the mechanical weathering. The textures of marbles from five different locations vary from a more or less perfect prolate to moderate oblate shape of the [006] pole figure tensor. Accordingly, the texture-derived bulk thermal dilatation anisotropy covers a broad range from –0.048 to 0.680. The modelled thermal dilatations correlate with those obtained from experimental measurements. The difference in magnitude is basically explained by the microcrack fabrics which was not considered in the computations. All samples show a deterioration due to thermal treatment regardless of the strength of texture. The directional dependence of (a) the total magnitude of the thermal dilatation coefficient and (b) of the residual strain is highest in marbles with a strong texture, whereas the Carrara marble with a weak texture exhibits a uniform crack formation. The progressive loss of cohesion along grain boundaries due to dilatancy may serve as an example for the initial stage of physical weathering. Microbial signatures in peritidal siliciclastic sediments: a catalogue   总被引:12,自引:0,他引:12  
A catalogue of microbial structural signatures is presented, based upon the coupling of fundamental biogeochemical–microbial processes and local morphogenetic determinants. It summarizes a collection of sedimentary structures obtained from two modern siliciclastic peritidal environments in different climatic zones (temperate humid: Mellum Island, southern North Sea; subtropical arid: coast of southern Tunisia). Textural geometries reveal a high structural diversity, but their determinants are primarily based upon six major parameters: (1) intrinsic biofactors: structural diversification of sedimentary microbial films and mats inherent in the organisms, i.e. their construction morphology, growth, taxis and behaviour, and local abundance of specific morphotypes. Most prominent are the ensheathed filamentous cyanobacteria Microcoleus chthonoplastes and Lyngbya aestuarii, and the sheathless filamentous cyanobacterium Oscillatoria limosa. (2) Biological response to physical disturbances: sediment supply, erosion and fracturing of surface layers resulting from desiccation cause growth responses of biofilms and microbial mats. (3) Trapping/binding effects: physicobiological processes give rise to grain orientations and wavy to lenticular lamina, lamina‐specific grain arrangements and ‘sucrose’ calcium carbonate accumulations. (4) Secondary physical deformation of biogenic build‐ups: mechanical stresses acting upon sediments overgrown and biostabilized by biofilms and mats produce erosional and overthrust structures. (5) Post‐burial processes: textural fabrics that evolve from mechanical effects of gas formation from decaying mats, and features related to the formation of authigenic minerals (calcium carbonates, calcium sulphates, pyrite). (6) Bioturbation and grazing: post‐depositional structures, such as Skolithos‐type dwellings, traces of burrowing insects, gastropod grazing traces and faecal pellets. In synopsis, the catalogue firstly comprises a sound set of ubiquitous signatures. This uniformity in architectural characteristics is attributed to the presence and local dominance of certain microbes throughout the different settings. The catalogue secondly documents signatures that are extremely sensitive to tidal position, hydrodynamic regime and overall climatic conditions. These kinds of signature indicate narrow facies zones, which often coincide with the activity or dominance zones of certain organisms. An overview of structures of microbial origin from the fossil record underlines the potential of many of the signatures included in this catalogue to become fossilized and provide strong indicators of former siliciclastic tidal settings.  相似文献

冀北崇礼—赤城地区水泉沟岩体是一个钾质—高钾质的钙碱性、弱碱性和碱性岩石共存的杂岩体。总体上以富碱、准铝、低钙、低钛为特征。稀土、微量元素和同位素特征表明该岩体源于上地幔与下地壳的边界附近,在各类地球化学构造判别图解中大多落于火山弧区。侵位机制分析表明该岩体是拉张作用下的产物。结合同位素年龄,认为水泉沟杂岩体形成于西伯利亚板块和中朝板块碰撞后的应力松弛阶段。  相似文献

The Longtang Pb-Zn deposit occurs in the Upper Sinian Guanyinyan Formation. The host rocks include sandy shale, cherty limestone and dolomitic limestone. The deposit is a typical one of thallogen origin. The mineral assemblage in the ore is made up of sphalerite, galena, pyrite, enargite, tennantite, seligmannite, asphalt, etc. The ore-forming process is possessed of multiepisode and multi-stage characters. Generally, sphalerites exhibit algal stromatolitic, bacterial and algal colloidal textures, providing evidence for the direct involvement of algae and bacteria in mineralization of ore-forming elements during sedimentary diagenesis. This is the first transmigration of ore-forming elements. However, pyrite embracing bacteria and galena replacing/filling trichomes are typical organic textures, which are related to organic carbon and bitumen that can adsorb or reduce ore-forming elements. This is an indirect process of organic mineralization, i.e., the second transmigration of ore-forming elements. δ34S values are all greater than 5%., indicating the dominance of the heavy sulfur isotopes. The ore-forming temperature deduced from fluid inclusions ranges from 100°C to 150°C±. All this goes to show that the Longtang Pb-Zn deposit is of thallogen origin. To further our knowledge of the coupling between the hydraulic and mechanical behaviours of the swelling soils, this paper presents an experimental study on a bentonite/silt mixture using an osmotic odometer. A loading/unloading cycle was applied to samples with different initial dry densities (1.27, 1.48, and 1.55 Mg m− 3) at different constant suctions (0, 2, and 8 MPa). We noted that the initial state of the soils after compaction significantly influenced the values of the apparent preconsolidation stress p0(s), the virgin compression index λ(s), and the elastic compression index κ.These experimental results provided a sufficient database to interpret the mechanical behaviour of the swelling soil and define three yielding surfaces:
– the suction limit between micro- and macrostructure (sm/M) and the suction limit between nano- and microstructure (sn/m), which depend completely on the soil fabrics and the diameter separating the nano-, micro-, and macrostructure,
– the Loading Collapse (LC) curve, representing the preconsolidation stress variation as a function of suction,
– the Saturation Curve (SC), representing the variation of the saturation stress (Psat) as a function of suction.
In general, we can state that the increase of compaction pressure unified the LC and SC surfaces and decreased the (sm/M) value without modifying the (sn/m) value.  相似文献

石英C轴组构常常记录递进变形过程中晚期增量变形的构造特征,因而可以通过对大别造山带内岩石中石英C轴组构的分析来确定造山带构造变形历史中的晚期变形事件的运动学特征。本次工作在大别造山带各单元中采集了一系列样品,对其进行石英C轴组构分析。石英C轴组构结果表明,北淮阳带就位于同造山折返第一阶段,其运动型式为上盘向NW的剪切变形;南大别高压—超高压榴辉岩带与宿松杂岩带就位于同造山折返第二阶段,运动型式表现为上盘向SE的剪切变形;北大别带就位于早白垩世穹状隆升过程中。北大别带在穹状隆升过程中表现为上盘向NW的运动型式,在深部可能存在向NW方向的下地壳物质的塑性流动。  相似文献
